Bernia Village

[A/N]: Sorry guys, was spending time with family for Christmas and new years so I haven't been able to write any chapters, enjoy!

"Well that was interesting, how long has it been? 11 years?" Ask a boy wearing a blood hoodie behind them.

When Meliodas hears this voice he suddenly turns around and stands in front of Elizabeth. "What do you want this time..." says Meliodas with a worried expression.

"What do you mean? Of course I want a drink, this is a bar isn't it?" Asmodeus says as he turns around and walks into the bar.

Meliodas stands still with a thinking expression as Elizabeth asks him. "Meliodas, is something wrong? Who is he?"

Meliodas snaps out of his thinking and looks at Elizabeth and says with a serious expression. "I'm not too sure myself, just try to stay away from him, he is dangerous." After he says that he walks into the bar with Elizabeth and Hawk.

When Meliodas gets inside he goes behind the counter and asks. "What would you like to drink?"

"Hmm...Maybe some Bernia Ale if you have any?" Says Asmodeus with a thinking expression.

"Sure." Meliodas says as he grabs a bottle of Bernia Ale and pours him a glass.

"Thanks Meliodas." Says Asmodeus as he drinks a little and says with a surprised expression. "Wow this is pretty good, I see why its highly recommended."

Meliodas looks at Asmodeus and asks with a pondering expression. "Is that really all you came for? A drink?"

"I guess that's one of the reasons" Asmodeus says as he puts down the cup and asks. "But I also wanted to ask you...what are you planning on doing now?"

Meliodas looks at Asmodeus for a couple seconds then says. "I'm going to be looking for the rest of the sins... if you remember them."

Asmodeus thinks back a little and says. " Oh yea...I didn't really meet all of them but I do remember that dude Ban." After Asmodeus says that he starts thinking then asks. "Hey would you mind if I tag along with you for a bit?" Ask Asmodeus.

Meliodas freezes up and thinks. 'Why does he want to come with us..?' Then he says. "Sure... but please don't interfere with us."

"Sure!" Says Asmodeus then he remembers something and asks. "Is there an extra room anywhere I can use? Its fine if there isn't I can sleep out here when the bar isn't open."

"There is onl-" Says Meliodas before he is suddenly cut off when Hawk says. "Hey Meliodas! We arrived at Bernia Village!"

Meliodas looks out and sees the town and suddenly remembers. "Oh wait! Lets get you changed Elizabeth." Says Meliodas as he goes upstairs and gets a new set of clothing for Elizabeth.

--After Elizabeth got changed and they all walked into town--

As Meliodas was explaining to Elizabeth about why came here, Hawk looked at the empty river and says. "Uh.. Meliodas...the river is completely dried up."

When Meliodas hears Hawk and looks at where the water is supposed to be and mutters with a surprised expression. "What happened..." After thinking for a few moments he keeps heading to the town.

Asmodeus looks at the dried up river for a moment before following them.

When they arrive they see a lot of people around and Meliodas exclaims while walking to one of the villagers. "Woah! Is that a festival?"

"Are you kidding me? Does this look like a festival to you?" Ask one of the villagers with a annoyed expression.

"A bunch of dudes working up a sweat makes it a festival... doesn't it?" asks Meliodas.

"I'm telling you this is no festival!!" Yells the villager. "They are trying to pull a holy knights sword out of the ground!!"

"Because of the magical properties of the sword, it has blocked all water flow from the underground channels." Says another villager with a sad expression.

Asmodeus hears this and thinks. 'Why would they do this..? This is pretty much killing off this whole village.' Then he senses something and looks in another direction. 'Interesting...' He thinks as he disappears and reappears somewhere else.

As Asmodeus looks at the castle like structure in front of him, he thinks. 'Hm...the person inside has the same energy who sealed off the water supply...' Thinks Asmodeus as he tried to decide if he should act or not.

'Nevermind... I wont interfere in their business, this is between the humans.' Thinks Asmodeus as he takes one last look towards the building and teleports back to the Boar Hat and hears someone speaking.

"...If such evil knights are trying to get them, then that must mean that the seven deadly sins are the good guys... right?" Ask a little boy sitting at a table with Meliodas, Elizabeth and Hawk around him.

As Elizabeth and Hawk look at Meliodas, Asmodeus looks at the boy and says. "That may be the case, sense its the holy knights hurting the people more than the seven deadly sins did."

When they hear Asmodeus they look at him as the boy asks with a curious expression. "Who are you...?"

Suddenly they hear a scream from the village, as the boy hears this scream he says. "That came from the village!" As he runs out the door.

When they arrived at the village, they saw all the village men pulling ropes connected to the sword trying to pull it out, then the kid runs toward them and tries to help them.

"M-Mead?!" Says one of the village men surprised.

'Huh..so the kids name is Mead.' Thinks Asmodeus as he watches this.

"Its dangerous, go away!" Yells one of men pulling the rope. "No!" Yells Mead as he starts pulling and says. "You guys should all go away! This... is my job to do!"

"Then we will do it together!" Yells another man then everyone else yells. "Yeah!!!"

As Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk and Asmodeus reach the down, Asmodeus sees Meliodas looking at all this with an unreadable expression and goes to the two knights watching all this happen and takes their drinks and says. "If you can't even appreciate the taste... you've got no right to be drinking it." As he starts walking towards the sword.

As the ropes connecting to the sword and everyone falls to the ground in defeat, Meliodas walks to the sword while drinking the Bernia Ale he took from the knights, once he finishes them he puts them on the ground and says. "Thanks for the drink."

Then he walks to the sword and grabs the handle and says. "Sorry, I don't have any money on me right now." Then he looks up at them and says, "Will this cover the cost?"

Then Meliodas yanks the sword out of the ground shocking everyone watching.

"No way.." Says one of them villagers. "Only a holy knight can extract the sword..." Says another.

"Hey what's that sound...?" Mutters one of the knights.

Then suddenly water explodes from underneath the ground. "Water!!" Yells one of the female villagers. "The groundwater's back again!" Yells one of the men.

'It really is like nothing I've ever seen. This is the true power of The Seven Deadly Sins.' Thinks Elizabeth as she stares as Meliodas.

As Meliodas and Elizabeth stand beside Mead while talking to the villagers, Asmodeus watches all of this silently and thinks. 'Why do humans have to be so mean to each other? They are all of same race, so why is there so much hate within them?'

Suddenly one of the villagers yell out. "Meliodas of boar hat! Your Bernia Villages hero!' When Asmodeus hears this and snaps out his thoughts.

'But where there is hate there is also love...' Thinks Asmodeus before he heads back to the boar hat.
