Chapter Four.

six years before...

A girl, about 10 years old, with a dirty blond, long ponytail and mischievous violet eyes scanned the classroom in search of her friend, Vixen, who had been gone for near a month now. there was so much she needed to tell her Best friend. she bit her bottom lip in despair, and slumped down in her wooden chair.

"great," she muttered. "annother day of crying alone in my room."

"um... excuse me? I was hoping that you could help me with something?"

the girl glanced up at a smiling, brown haired boy, about her age. she sat up in her chair again, cheeks burning. "um, yeah. what do you need help with?"

"well see... my friend has been gone for a few months ago after the king called for him to appear before him, and I'm really lonely. Mrs. O'Mara said you had the same thing happen to a friend of yours, too."

the girl's eyebrows shot up, and she inspected the young lad in curiosity. hazel eyes, shifty feet, entwined hands. though he was kinda cute. the girl stuck her hand out to him, grinning. "well, partner, you just found a new friend."

his smile overcame his cute face, and he shook her hand. "thank you. my name's Ace."

the girl winked. "nice to meet you. I'm Mirella. and don't worry. I can tell we will become GREAT friends."
