Chapter 18: Zion

Heather was getting used to the house as it was the start of April; she's never been in such a big house. That day just happened to be a Saturday, so it was perfect enough for Rebecca to train them. Rebecca sent out notifications to all of them, and they got ready. Heather flew over and just happened to be the only one since no one else arrived. Heather thought she must've been early because not even the time goddess herself was with Alva. Turns out Heaven couldn't come because she was at a photo shoot; Anna couldn't come because she was sick; and Ashley... no one knows where she is. Heather was with Alva for 30 minutes waiting for Rebecca to arrive, and when she did, it wasn't what she expected. Rebecca flew from the sky and down from Alva and just randomly grabbed Heather.

"Hey, wait a minute, what are you?" Heather was interrupted.

"I can't stay on earth; I have to go to Zion," Rebecca says, and they fly up to the clouds.

"But I've been in the clouds. We'll go right through--" Heather stopped talking as soon as they went through the clouds and saw a multicolored world, which surprised Heather.

It had beautiful purple stars above and a beautiful clear blue river below them. Heather was amazed with how it looked, and Rebecca flew through white rings until she deflected through one more cloud. Through the clouds, it was a bright blue sky with clouds all below them. Rebecca placed Heather down, and Heather was surprised with how cozy it all was.

"Is this heaven?" Heather asked, and Rebecca nodded.

Heather sees a giant golden gate in their way.

"This looks like something only rich white people would have." How we gonna get in?" Heather asks, and Rebecca smiles as she just walks through the gate.

"If you're at all an angel or related to one, you should be able to go through," Rebecca says on the other side of the gate, and Heather takes a breath.

"I can do this... cause I am a goddess," Heather says and runs through the gate and falls on her face.

Heather gets up and wipes the cloud dust off of her face.

Heather was amazed by how it looked; it was a beautiful dystopian world. It looks like New York, but if New York were more of a free country, Heather followed Rebecca as they walked through it all. Heather loved seeing all the big signs and how flashy everything was. Heather was impressed with the animals and the people there.

"I'd think Heaven and Hell are just like earth, only if you make segregation extreme here," Heather jokes to Rebecca, and she rolls her eyes.

"By the way, why am I here?" Heather asks

"I can't stay on Earth for too long because I have work to do, which is why I decided to train you here in Zion," Rebecca says, and Heather comes to the same realization.

Rebecca: "Is heaven actually Zion, and hell called purgatory?" Wait a minute, why did I just heck and not heck? Can I even shoot? "What about the fork?" Heather was confused.

"First, the real terms are actually Zion and Purgatory; Heaven and Hell are just nicknames." "Secondary residents of Zion have felt it's very inappropriate and highly offensive to use vulgar terms, especially in a place to encourage good behavior," Rebecca says, and Heather nods.

"Understandable Heaven is a free place, but it also has rules. "Also do you think I should read the Bible or go to church in order to understand more about Heaven and Hell?" Heather asked, and Rebecca stopped walking.

Heather stopped walking and noticed her reaction.

"See, gosh, okay, most of the things there are false or their names are just different." "For example, the name of the angel of death is not Azrael; it is Charlie; and God's firstborn child's name wasn't Amenadiel; it was Michael, who is an archangel as well," Rebecca says, and Heather understands.

"But what Bible can I trust?" Heather asks

"You can trust the ones here; I could give it to you at my job," Rebecca says, and the two continue walking until they arrive at the building.

"Oh my god, this looks like LexCorp." "I hope I'm not getting into some supervillain corporations," Heather jokes, and Rebecca punches her softly.

"You're lucky I ain't known the devil cause I would beat your butt," Rebecca says, and they both enter the building.

"Rebecca, we need to talk." Someone says with blades, it's just Heather's

"Heather, this is Charlie, and for some reason he's here in the building. Why are you here?" Rebecca asked

"Abel is not dead, and Cain is missing," Charlie says angrily, and that surprised Rebecca.

" Cain was the first ever killer and the son of Eve," Rebecca explains

"And Abel was the brother of Cain, who supposedly killed him," Heather says.

"How is that possible if not only Cain admitted to the murder but God did so as well?" Rebecca asks, and Charlie shrugs his shoulders.

"You're the timekeeper; you should be making sure nothing shotty happens," Charlie says, talking with his hands.

"And you're the angel of death, so you should make sure dead people stay dead," Rebecca says.

"Wait a minute, how do you know this?" Rebecca asked

"I'll show you," Charlie says, picking her up before flying out.

Heather ran outside.

"What about me?" Heather asked

"Just wait till I get back," Rebecca says, and Heather rolls her eyes.

Heather went back inside and saw Rebecca leave her phone on the floor. Heather noticed how it was opened on messages and saw who she was texting.

"GRIFFIN!?!?" Heather shouts, and everyone hushes her.

Heather read the text messages and was surprised by how he acted.

Heather was actually heartbroken by the text messages because Griffin did say he was sorry, but he's also in love with Rebecca.

"Why does this feel like some weird butt k-drama?" Heather whines, and everyone shushes her again.

"Fork you all," Heather says, pointing at everyone there.

As soon as Rebecca gets back Heather pushes her phone into Rebecca's chest.

"I want you to get back together with that poor man who is so in love with you and has done nothing but shoot for him," Heather says, shaking her head in disappointment.

"First off, don't ever look through my phone, and second you don't know about our relationship in the past and how he's been cheating on me," Rebecca says, and Heather puts her hand in her face.

"I didn't ask, did I?" "You better get back with that Griffin, or else I'll use my powers on you," Heather says, taking out her blades, and Rebecca didn't even move a muscle as all she did was sigh.

"Me and him were just young people who never understood love, so what if it's what I texted him, I don't mean it," Rebecca says, and Heather just crossed her arms.

Heather grabbed her phone and started texting him.

"Hey, what the heck are you doing?" Rebecca asks, trying to get her phone back.

"Griffin, can we go on a date this Friday? I'm free and totally bored," Heather says out loud and sends it

Rebecca was so embarrassed.

"Now take me back home because I have already had my adventure for today," Heather says, taking in the fresh air while she can.

"First off, you did nothing, and second you're not going anywhere," Rebecca crossed her arms as she saw Heather mimicking her.

"You can't keep me hostage; I'll call people." Heather is now crossing her arms.

"Call what people?" You'll get lost if you run away or call someone, because you just arrived here. "I know this place like I know the people here, but I don't," Rebecca says.

"What theโ€”so why should I trust you as a guide?" Heather says

"You shouldn't. I just know how to walk from the gate to this building and maybe to my apartment, but nowhere else at all," Rebecca says.

"Besides, we have brutal training to do." "Now follow me," Rebecca places her order and leaves Heather with her jaw dropped.

Now the only thing she could do was pray to her parents that training wouldn't be as brutal as she said it would be.

"Please, mom and dad, bless me one last time," Heather prayed as she followed Rebecca.
