27 Time to Evacuate the Town

She walks in the building with Leo guiding her. "Yes, the drive will be hard. It'll be more harder on you than myself." They reach his room. "I'll be back I am going to talk with Julie before I go to sleep. Wait for me in the room I won't be too long." She stands on her tip toes and kisses his cheek. She turns and walks to Julie's room.

Leo opens the door to his room and goes inside. 'She must have to talk with Julie. I can't force her to go to sleep. Kitsune has a lot of her own things to do.' He goes and sits at the table until she returns.

Kitty goes to Julie's room and knocks on the door. "Julie, It's Kitty can we talk about what I would like you to do?"

Julie opens the door and smiles. "Of course dear. Come in."

"I hope that I am not intruding." She smiles and walks in. "I'll keep this short. I want you to send out the message and get everyone who wants to leave to abandon everything. I do not anyone unnecessary bloodshed after all. I am leaving tomorrow and Cindy is ready to go as well. I am torn to see you leave and I understand that you are doing this for the clan. You are the most loyal and faithful person I have ever met. I love you so much." Kitty starts to cry.

"Don't cry, Kitty. I am happy that you have finally found your other half. I am grateful for everything that you have done for myself and Grant. I have seen you work hard for the last ten years. You are the most admirable leader ever." She smiles and hugs Kitty. "I will always love you like a granddaughter. Protect the clan and I will do what needs to be done here. Now go back to Leo's room and get some sleep."

"T-thank you so much, Julie. I will never forget you for the rest of my life. It pains me so much to have to say goodbye like this but I know that you wouldn't change your mind. I will see you in the morning. Have a good evening." She leaves the room and tears are streaming down her face. She reaches Leo's room and she knocks on the door.

Leo heard the knock at the door rushes and opens the door. "What's wrong my love." He pulls her into his embrace.

"Is there truly nothing that I can do to save all my people? It hurts so much to lose them." She wraps her arms around him and buries her head into his chest and cries even harder. "I don't want to lose anyone else that is close to me anymore."

Not sure what to say Leo stands there rubbing her back and her head. He can feel her crying decrease. "Let's get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day."

Kitty nods and steps back. "I'm sorry." She says and rubs her eyes. "I didn't know I would react like this." She looks down at the ground.

"It's quite alright. You can't be strong every day. I will always be your support." He runs his fingers over her eyes wiping her tears away. "Let's go to the room." He kisses the top of her head and gently guides her back to the room.

She lets Leo lead her to the room and then she changes her clothes. "Thank you. I knew this was going to happen but it still hurts so much." She lays down in the bed.

Leo changes his clothes and lays down beside her in bed. He pulls her in close so that her back in against his chest. "I'll be here." He kisses her head.
