ME TOO. GET OUT

Braun took the cross from the table as he examined it. "But none of this answer our question. Why are we alive?" He asked the obvious question everybody was thinking of.

"My guess is because of that cross" Zander motioned Braun to give her the cross, which he did. "Listen…" she takes a pause as she watched everyone's expression before she continued. "…when I pointed the cross at the creature, it ran away not because of us but for the cross and then we blacked out. We were the last three standing" she pointed at Braun and Benjamin. "I'll fix your puzzle prince" she looked at him intensely and he pushed his seat forward eager to hear what she was about to say. "We don't and can't have equal memories because we "lost consciousness" she airs quoted. "Starting with Nic first" she pointed at Nicolette "and her last memory was throwing the cross at me, right?" She directed

"Yeah" Nicolette confirmed

"You each last memory was seeing Nicolette die" Prince chuckled at this. He hated to admit that she was right. He was used to solving the mysteries and clues for his friends but never did he think that he was going to be outsmarted. "Look, the cross clearly left a message and the message is right before our eyes." She squeezed both her eye and stared at the cross. "We are having… this cross is…" she paused. She had forgotten what she wanted to say. She looked closely at the cross before she spoke "we unlocked this cross"

Before anyone could speak, the door of the café suddenly jammed close. They're stood Rex with Larry and harry by his side. He scoffed immediately he saw them and headed towards where they were sitting. Larry, the twin brother of Harry who is slightly less handsome than him pushed a chair forward closing the gap between Zander and Nicolette. Harry did the same thing but received a glare from Nancy which made him retract his step. Rex stood in the middle of the table, his eyes immediately landing on the cross zander was holding. This made the cross to release a shock and caused Zander to drop the cross on the table in pain. As Prince was about to take the cross, Rex moved faster and grabs the cross-beating Prince to it. He looked at the cross light and the cross reaction was to increase in light. As the cross light began to increase, the cups on their table began to shake. Zander immediately takes the cross from Rex and placed it in bag. No one could react as they were astonished by what just happened. Rex had never felt this close to something before as it seems that the cross was speaking to him.

"What is that?" he asked Zander in confusion.

"A necklace" she quickly responded giving him no time to think she was lying. Rex stared at her bag. He had never felt that way before. He felt power, trust and memories with the cross that he couldn't comprehend. That cross wasn't normal he thought. Zander wasn't going to give him the cross because she was adamant. So, he had to probe further. And the only way he was going to get answers was by intimidating the weak link, Nicolette. He composed himself and looked directly at her.

"Hmm. We lost track of you guys after the tour" he made a general statement. His eyes still focused on Nicolette

"Yeah. Where we you guys?" Harry butted in.

"Not obviously in a cave dying" She finally mumbled under her breath. Rex plan worked. He continued to look not tearing his eyes off her.

"What?" Larry asked. Rex gave a grin. He heard "cave" and knew they were hiding something relating to the cross. He walked over to her, placing his left hand on her shoulder. The tension the café grew and no one was saying anything. It all seemed there were linked telepathically to not say anything or pretend Rex was not there. Just to ignore was the best option at this point. But Nicolette didn't seem to understand their eye language. At this point they had to join in the conversation.

"I heard cave. Right guys?" he looked at Harry and Larry who stared at each other before responding positive in unison.

"I didn't hear anything" Braun commented using his hand to comb his hair. Prince stood up and walked up to Rex "what do you want?" Prince wasn't going to back down from making Rex leave and he knew this. I guess it was time to leave. Rex signaled Larry and harry with his head that it was time to leave. They stood up and walked towards the door

"I'm going to make this short and simple…"

"Me too. Get out" He got cut short by Nancy who was busy typing on her phone. He swallowed back his words taking a quick glance at Zander's bag. He looked at Nicolette again and nodded goodbye before walking away with an evil smirk on his face.
