3. Memories!

Dhvani just kept looking at her reflection in the mirror infront, in silence! When she was done applying the lotion, she opened the very first desk, and took out a box! Closing the desk, she opened the box!

As soon as she opened it, a simple yet beautiful thin chain with a butterfly pendant welcomed her, she cupped the pendant with her thumb finger!

Memories of her childhood surrounded her!

Eight years old Dhvani was sitting near the riverbank, observing the river flow as if without looking back into the past, the sound of it's flow which was soothing for ears! She found peace in it!

Soon a boy running and panting, reached her and as he did, he started taking deep breaths cause of the run, and when he stabilised his breath, he sat beside her!

"You are late!!" she claimed, without looking at him!

"I had to come hiding from my parents!" he replied, looking at her!

She just gave him a nod, and then questioned, "Why had you called me?"

He smiled with a nod, and soon took out a thin necklace from his pocket, and held only it's hook, making it clearly visible for her, "Look!"

She tilted towards him, took a look at it and soon a frown settled on her face! "Are you gifting it to me?"

He bobbed his head, "It's your birthday present from me! Happy Birthday Dhvani!!"

She just looked at him in silence before turning away and continuing to observe the river! "How do you know about it?" she asked him yet seemed not so curious!

He nodded, and just like her, tilted his head and looked ahead towards the river, "I noticed it when I saw your biodata in the register!"

She raised an eyebrow, and looked at him, "And why did you?"

He shrugged, "I just happened to!", and he soon turned towards her, "Won't you have it?"

She just looked at him in silence for a minute before taking it and wearing it, around her neck, the chain that fell down her collarbone, and the pendant which just added up to the glow of her fair skin!

"It looks nice on you!"

She nodded, "But why does it have the letter 'A' behind it?" she questioned as she held the pendant!

He looked away, "It is in the remembrance of me! I specially asked to make a mark on it!"

She kept silent until she looked away like him, and spoke up, "Thank you!"

He smiled, "I especially picked it cause you like butterflies!"

She frowned again, "What had made you conclude that?"

"You always observe those butterflies in our school playground after having lunch! So I just assumed it to be! Am I wrong?"

A moment of silence followed until she replied, "No!"

He smiled out again, and her lips almost curved up which she managed to hide!

That day he was the only one who actually wished her, and this was the best present she ever recieved! And now she didn't know where he lived, what he does, she might only if she hadn't gone far away!

"I definitely will find you one day!"

She sighed and closed the box placing it back in the desk!

A new morning haven't even been any new to Ajay, today as he woke up, he soon took a shower and went back to Star! He observed the team practicing again early in the morning, which he created two years ago! Even after so many failures, the team never lost hope, may be, this was the reason why he always kept his hopes high!

Without thinking much, he went to the company whom they had presented their work so that they could invest in them if they liked it! Taking the latest song the team had produced, Ajay reached him for the final decision! For some odd reason, this time he didn't took Mr.Choi with him!

Dhvani was sitting infront of the piano, as usual she was alone in her own home! She started playing the tune that was still incomplete! Her assumptions were to create the song before the first concert she was going to perform this month, and it actually arrived, yet she still didn't completed it! As she started to play the tune, her fingers on the chords almost seemed like a female dancing on her toes, the tune slowly started to pace up, yet it sounded so soothing!

In the process, she even noted some corrections which were needed, and when she was done, it was almost evening! Flowing through the process she didn't even noticed of time!

Yet, she didn't regretted it, as now, after a lot of efforts she put in, she tuned the song! And she was sure enough for it to be her own masterpiece! After all, this song was what she felt for years and was feeling too, rather than those like of her other songs which she created at the moments!

With a sigh, she got up, and as soon as she stood, she felt her body sore, probably because of sitting at one place for hours! She streched her arms and soon a yawn escaped her mouth, how good would it feel to have a sleep now?!

She shook her head at her own thoughts, she can't!

Choi was waiting for Ajay from the morning, he felt very odd that he went to meet the soon to be partner without him! He never did that actually!

As he was almost sending off the team who practiced very well till now, Ajay arrived, in his car! Ajay saw the team leaving, he gave them a nod as they looked at him while leaving and then reached Choi!

"What about the deal?" Choi questioned him directly without beating around the bush! He knows better than asking questions that he will never get answer for!

Ajay just looked at him in silence, "Did they all left?" he questioned not answering his question!

Choi sighed, this question was always his way to skip or escape his questions! "Yes!" he replied!

Ajay nodded, and handed his keys to him, "See me home Mr.Choi!" said he before getting into the back seat!

Choi just took the driver seat and started driving him home! An awkward silence followed, Choi felt bad about him skipping to answer his question! Did they again got rejected?

Ajay just kept looking outside the window as the car went on moving, and suddenly he spoke up without looking away! "Don't worry, he asked a little of more time for coming to a decision!"

Choi who suddenly got his answer just halted as he tried to process it! More time? Was it good or bad?!

"Do you know what we exactly need now so that we can have a good future Mr.Choi?"

Choi stiffened, how should he answer it? They weren't just getting rejected cause they lacked talent, because all they had now with them were talents and skills with deep efforts!

"A little bit of luck perhaps!!" he replied!

Ajay chuckled, "Absolutely!" "But I am not sure when will we have it for ourselves!"

Choi just sighed, "That one day will surely be coming!!"

That's all what he could wish for as of now!

"Why had you never left me uncle Choi?"

He stiffened, the man stated him that very rarely! Even though his voice while phrasing it felt void of emotion, he still can feel the depth it contained!

"Do you wish me to leave?" he questioned instead!

"It's not bad of you to choose what you need, instead it's wise of you!!"

Choi shook his head while taking a turn, "Sometimes good and bad won't matter, all that matters is what your heart says!"

Ajay kept silent! He was his uncle's driver! And when he passed away, the man worked for him! Even though he was a driver, his role for him was much bigger than that! In every situation of his life, the man stayed, observed, noticed and sometimes even helped! So, he could understand, for him not being able to leave him! The man might bring in emotions, but he himself can't see the man working for him without any enough salary! It's been 2months that he didn't give any salary to him, yet the man never questioned him, not even once!

He sighed inward, this situation of him really needs to be changed, if not, he should change! There are people who are having hopes on him, while he had hopes on the people's talent he choose to dig in!

Ajay's thoughts ended as suddenly the car stopped, and he realised that he wasn't home yet!
