Chapter 3

Heading toward the meeting about where we were going to live. I wonder what my family may choose to do. Of all the properties that I haver foiund they have no building. Why have building already on when you can build what you need for your family or those you protect.

So my team that I put my life in their hands every time we go out follows me in. All the guys listens even as some of the werewolves ask me who is my second and so on.

So my team mates that always go on missions with me their names starting with the youngest. Ralph Smith, Jake Trump, Dylan Wolf, Blake Walker, Colt Lightening, Domanic Bear, and David Thunder all joined me after I saved Josh Peak. The day that my very own pack was formed and blessed by the moon goddess herself.

The closer I got to our make shift confrence room where we hold meeting the more I felt excitment through my pack bond. My whole pack want to have a home and a place to call their own. What can I say so would I. The business can still continue on and keep us all busy a team at a time going out on missions. Only keeping so many home to protect our home.

"So I found five different properties that could fit what we need," I started the meeting. "the first one is 90 thousand acres. It has a lot of trees that we could turn to lumber, water, and produce our own power. Oh and before I go in to deep I should say that all the properties Are similar but the acres are the only difference. Also each location is at lengths takes quite a time to get to. This first one of 90 thousand acres has mountains as well as wooded area. The next one is 1 thousand acres and has some mountains but not as many. after that is a 900 acres with mostly flat land. There is also a 800 acres as well which is all flat land. finally 700 acres which is close to a town and is nothing but flat land."

"well," Dad responded, It is clear that you have done your homework on each property. Including towns and schools. I believe that if we start with the 900 acres would do great for us. if we need more we can look into buying more land but for us and those who follow you this would be a start. Also if you get more that would want to follow you as well."

"I would have to agree with your father Phoenix," Josh responded. " If we need more than 1 thousand acres we can build to get more acres."

"All right," I said. "If that isthe property that everyone agrees on here are the schools, towns, and neighbors in the area. as well as all the resources that would be involved in building everything we need. I have also contacted each lumber mill in the area price about if we do a trade for lumber or the price for turning our logs into lumber. As long as we haul it we can pay for the lumber being made. If we trade it will they are willing to cut the logs, make a nice clearing for us and hauling the lumber we need. I figured any piles of wood they leave we can us as fire wood. Also we can chip any wood limbs that are left and may be able burn that as well."

"So by the sounds of it," phil interjected. "We would only have to by a limited amount of suplies and most of what we need wil be acessed after everything is built. Looks like you have drawn up all the plans that we need right now."

"Well let contact the seller and tell them that we want this seal the deal," James jumped in. "Now can we eat breakfast. Than we can continue on plans suchas Brain, Phoenix and her team going to the property first."

"I will go a buy the property," Dad said. "Get everything signed for and taken care of. Phoenix contact the lumber mill and we can do a little trading. Also we will need to have construction workers. We wil keep everything up to codes so there will be no problems."

"Okay so we need to have our go bags," I started to list off. "On top of that have our rooms packed and ready to go so it is less work later. be best to bring weapons as well to be on the safe side. oh yeah that property is a days drive from us and is very remote. we could be there tomorrow but get in contact with every one today. That way they will have the paper work drawn up and ready to be signed to start. I have already found a team of construction workers that move town to town doing work such as repairs. I think they may be the best to contact to do this work plus as the teams finish up their assignments. There will be plenty of hands to build the buildings. The house that we can call as a pack house will be the main priority. From there we can work out the rest."

"Well looks limke we have a plan set now," Sam said. "Time for breakfast and than we will make phone calls and pack up everything. those who are leaving pack your rooms so all we have to do is go in and grab everything."

With that being said we head to the dinning room to eat.

For the rest of the day those who were going to the new place worked on packing their things but still did the normal routine of exercises. From this point it was decided.

I had always kept my stuff packed because of all the moving we have done when I was younger. out of habbit i only unpack what I needed to have out and that was all I had to pack was mostly my school supplies and some clothes.

Since my father was driving his truck and most of all our bags were light. the go bags made it into the pickup as well as equipment. on my team we always used our motorbikes as mode of transpotation but one of us would drive a vehicle with a trailer and their bike would be on that trailer.

Since dad was coming he got the job as driving the equipment while we ride our bikes. We all had mikes on that worked for comunocation so no one asked questions. Yes we could all mind link but we wanted no questions on how we talk to each other so the mokes served as our cover.

My dad made all the need phone calls and appointments including to the lawyers. Our number one rule was keep it legal so there will be no problems. The lawyers works up the contract after dad tells him what is needed in it to cover all bases. One for the mill that covers both the possible in trade or paying amount. Another is done up for the construction workers so they know what is going on.

When everything is done and said we always keep a copy of documents so we have proof. One copy with us, one copy with who we do business with and the original goes to the lawyer to file away. second rule for us is always have a paper trail. that way it is proof of where you were and what you have spend money on.

Towards the end of my day I am always doing paper work. Everyone who joined my pack did not want to have money handed to them. That was until I told them that they will be earning every cent because we run a security business and they needed a bank account. the final deal with them was I keep track of everything. So i handle everyones bank accounts and keep track of all our needs.

In return at the end of each week they have the job of making sure I recieve all reciepts. This way I can check it to there transactions and make sure that everything is accurate.

"So," Blake started. "Are you excited for our new home?"

"Yes," I said. "I am excited. I do have a concern that we may not looked at as of yet. The on question on my mind. Does this property boarder or is apart of a pack territory?"

"Actually that is what I have been looking into," Josh spok up from behind us. " I had a feeling this may come as and issue and warned your dad and uncles. as soon as you made that decition on that property I reached out to alpha richard who you have helped out and he pulled up all the boundries of every pack and found that the area we are moving to has no pack it, it is what we all call as no mans land. this is were mostly rouges live."

"Well my concern is for the property not the town our those who live in it," I told Josh. "I do want to reach out to those rouges and give them the option to join my pack if they want and also talk to them that if they need a safe heaven that they are welcome to come to me. One thing I do refuse to do is kick some one out of their home just because we as a pack just moved in. I would prefer to live in harmony with them."

"How about when you do that talk with them also ask them to have a spoke person that can aproach you and talk as well," Suggested David. "This way they have someone they would feel comfortable to approach if they do not feel liuke they can with you."

"Yes you are right," I said. "By the way Josh has mention multiple times that I need to find myself a beta. So far i have thought and looked into everyones actions. Many of the other wolves feel comfortable with me but have trouble steping up into the second in command possition. but every time I turn around in some situations where i have to leave the group or the pack for a few days iI find out you have tooken over the leadership role. So now I am going to ask this of you and yes you can think on this. How would you like to be my beta, David?"

"I would be honored to be as such," he responded. "I only stepped up because I did not want you to come back to a mess and a lot of work. I also figured it would take some weight off of your shoulders. I did not realize that i was stepping up as a leader under you."

"Do not feel bad," Josh said. "Not everyone can be a beta or can handle that role. Just like being an alpha. Now phoenix needs to find her third in command and head worrior."

"Josh you have been acting mostly as an elder," I said. "In my eyes that is what you are an elder. using your wisdom and knowledge to help guide me on the right path but let me find who is right for what in time. Yes I will find a third and head worrior but it will alltake time. I do not wantto ask some one that is not already stepping up to it. I like to watch their actions because that tells me if they are going to be in the right place if i asked them to be."

"That makes sense and I have to agree. by take your time and watching everyone in action before you make the decition if they are right for that position," Josh praised. "All you are doing is asking them to take up the mantal when they already are doing the requirements for that position."

"Yes," I agreed. "David this is how I decided that you would make a good beta for me. By the fact that you already decide on your own with out realizing it by yourself that you were doing beta work. That is why I asked you. This is how I make many of choices by seeing what is best for everyone. I have talked with the rest of the pack and they have agreed that you are the best choice for beta. I had called and talked to them individually and they have notice the same thing I did. That you make the choice to step up when ever I am away and keep the pack together. That is part of the reason why many just followed what you say because as a pack they already see you as the beta. Now I make it offical."

"Thank you," David said.

"I, Alpha Phoenix Zeva Winter, name my Beta today officailly," I started out loud as well as through the packs mind-link. "As the Reaper worriors we stand strong and I look into each of us to find a place that best suits each of us. I hold each of our actions to tone for what we do. As a pack we need strong leaders and those who will step up when needed. throught the actions of this wolf I have asked if he would like to become the Beta and acept. Now I ask the moon goddes herself to if she sees David Thunder as a worthy wolf. If she does bless him for he already is willing to take the next step. I ask you David Thunder infront of Elder Josh Peak and the moon goddess herself do you accept the full responsiblty as the beta? Are you willing to hold together and protect this pack from danger?"

"Yes Alpha," David responded. "I am willing to step up and be the Beta. All of the responsiblities that come with the beta position I accept. As a fellow wolf I will follow you till the end. For this pack I would die to protect and to the moon goddess if she deems me worthy I accept with an open heart. I always see to my family and this is my family."

After David finish accepting the role, he let out a hiss of pain. We took a look at his pack mark and it shows the wearth just like mine. So in the end the moon goddess accepted who I chose for my second in command, my beta.

"Well time for dinner and bed. we have an early morning," I said. While everyone was congragulating David through mind link.
