Chapter 2

Morning came but I raised early myself before the sun came up. I figured to do a little looking for possible schools in the area of each property with information and distance. I made sure to have each property and school in the area of each property. Looking at the time it was time for my daily morning workout.

Getting dress and start to head out for the start of my run. As I got outside my team that normally go out on missions and who were like older brothers to me started to show up. They have learned my routine and started to meet up with me for the morning exercises. Without a word I started out in a random direction in all truth I always change the length of my runs and the direction. This way my body will never get use to the work out.

The guys all close to my age in my team, the oldest being twenty-three. Everyone who works for my family were rouges at one time. As I grew and my anger became a problem because both my wolf and I did not understand why or birth parents would abandon us. It took saving some stranger, who also was a werewolf, life from other rouges who intend to kill him. That day I never expect anything in return but he surprised me by cutting my hand and his as he swore his loyalty to me. After that more werewolves followed his example and in this process put my anger in check.

I always loved to run and think about the past as I remember how everyone came to be so loyal to me. As for the humans that are part of the pack, well the followed the first wolf's example and did a blood sworn loyalty oath to me.

There are times when my uncles tease me but always remembered how that wolf who first came into my life helped out with my anger trouble. Being an older wolf, Josh had introduced himself and joined in my father and uncles team.

I remembered the day I asked him about my wolf and why he used blood.

Flashback

"Josh, why is my wolf and I always anger?" I asked.

"Well let me start with the fact that you are alone with a human family," he started to explain. "See in a normal werewolf culture you are either born in a pack or a rouge. If you were born in a pack you are like a big family but a rouge only have themselves and their immediate family."

"Okay," I said.

"So with you it stands a little different," josh continued on. "By being abandon and shifting at a young age to protect yourself it gives you insecurity. Your wolf remembers and your subconscious is triggering your anger. Your human family can only help so much."

"So what you're saying by my shifting early and being abandon it is gave me the feeling of having no one there for me. My father and uncles can substitute that family connection for only so long," I summarized how I understood it. "Also by not having another wolf there only made matters worse. Am I following you so far? But that does not explain why you call me an alpha or swore loyalty to me by blood."

"Okay you are understanding a part of it," Josh said. "Which is what I want you to grasp. When you risked your life to save me, my wolf recognized you as a powerful wolf. Yes unstable at the time but still a strong wolf. In my mind he called you alpha. Meaning when it comes to the bottom line he would follow you till the end of this earth and risk himself to protect you from danger. Now the blood and swearing loyalty is where I am making a connection to you. Where now a days everyone in the werewolf society just swear to the alpha and they accept them as a part of the pack. You how ever do not hold that power and my wolf wants you as his alpha. By using blood it is more binding instead of just words and accepting it."

"So you are saying that because of the fact that my wolf and I protect you he sees me as his leader and no one else," I responded. "Are you saying that the blood is just an add step that is more binding than words?"

"Yes Phoenix," josh said. "Blood is power and to us it to swear loyalty to someone adds strength to that conviction. By using the blood as we did creates an unbreakable bond that only death can undo it. When I used our blood, I created a bond link that your wolf was missing and by naming you alpha to top it off gave her something to strive for. Now I will say that many will want to challenge you but because blood is involved it will be hard for someone to over throw you to be alpha. In a sense only death can end your alpha rein. As for humans I have no clue how this may affect them by using a blood oath like I have done for my loyalty."

"So not only did you settled my wolf you gave her something other than her own problems to handle," I filled in the blanks. "As for naming me alpha you are giving her a responsibility to tend to. So in other words you are mine to lead, protect and provide for. As for humans and blood oaths we will cross that bridge when we do and find out. Thank you for helping my anger problem. My family been able to be around me with ease and train me more. We run a security business and I help out while doing my homeschooling. It looks like you are now a part of the family. How do I explain this to my dad and uncles?"

"How about you let me do that my young alpha," Josh answered. "This way if they have any question I can answer them but I do have one thing to add on. It is the fact that you may have many wolves coming to you now. They could be thrown out of their pack for a crime, ran away from the pack or been a rouge all their life. It is up to you how you want to handle this."

"As for those thrown out of a pack for a crime," I told him. "Everyone deserves a second chance. Those who ran away would have to have a very good reason why and for the rouges well no one chooses what they are born as. So I will accept them all with open arms. But I will ask questions of them before we do the bonding with blood. I feel with a blood oath of loyalty it will weed out those who could turn against us. This way they have a choice to take the final step or not."

"That is a great outlook and solution to all possible problems," Josh said as we walk to my current home with my family. "Also it gives every wolf a sense of belonging and a chance to decide if it heir path lies with you."

"Thank you Josh," I said with great happiness. "You have answered and help with a lot of problems that I had trouble trying to ask my dad and uncles."

"No problem," He said. "But you may need to think of a pack name. This way it will give your family something to pride themselves that they have built with their alpha."

"I was going to ask that and I think I have it," I responded to him. "How would it feel to be called Reaper Warrior Pack? I thought of the reaper because of the blood oath that is involved in bonding as a pack. Warrior well how can I say this everyone needs to have the knowledge to fight but to protect those you love and think as family is a true warrior. I can see a scythe and sword with a wolf howling to the moon as the symbol."

As soon as those words cross my lips a burning sensation happened on the front and back of my right shoulder. Josh hissed out a breath with clenched teeth.

"What was that?" I Asked.

"Well," Josh answered as he looked at his right shoulder. "It seems that the moon goddess heard you and wants to give you the symbol that you describe for your pack to finalize everything. See since we are wolves and it was the moon goddess that created us. We are her children and she wants to give us a good life. However that never happens. So no wolf can say no to your pack because the moon goddess herself blessed this pack."

I looked at my shoulder and sure enough the symbol was there. It was exactly how I had described it but with one twist for me. While over the top of my symbol there was a crown with a wreath around it.

"Josh what does a crown and wreath mean?" I asked.

"Well as it only showed up at you," Josh showed me his mark. All it had waste symbol I described. "I am figuring that the crown means the alpha or leader. The wreath standing for the moon goddesses blessing. In other words no one can under mind you because she herself sees you as a strong and powerful leader. She also believes that with you that a difference can be made."

"All I do now is my schooling and training to be a part of my family business," I said.

"Oh but you did made a small difference without trying," Josh said to me. "You gave me an old wolf who is considered as a rouge a chance to be a part of a family and pack. You open up a new chance for people just by accepting and giving them a second chance with no struggles. By providing and giving a home to those did not have no home. New connections to better ourselves."

End of flashback

As we continue on the run to the area where we practice our fighting to keep our skills in the best condition. After a quick drink and the normal pushups, crunches, plank, and all the other stretches for our muscles. Combat was next.

In our combat we have three stages. First is human vs human, than human vs wolf and finally wolf vs wolf. When we practice it is always to use our heads and never let our emotions to get involve. No matter what. Those who were just human could only do two of the three but in this they have a chance at survival by practicing with the fight against wolves. By having the humans learn how to fight the wolves as well puts them in a safer position while working for my family.

Since the last wolf pack we had ran into I have not ran into another wolf pack but that could all change now that we are going to have a home post for my pack.

A prayer that old Josh taught me I sent for the land.

The prayer went along this:

Mother of all wolves hear me,

I pray to you for the guidance,

I pray for your protection of those who you watch,

I pray for those I protect and the strength to lead them.

As I walk this path you will help me in my time of need as I meet you half way.

For this time in prayer I am asking that my family adopted and pack can have land that we can call home and live in peace.

If there is other packs in the area I ask that we have peace between us and that we can get along.

In your name the Moon Goddess and Mother of all wolves I pray and wish we can succeed in this.

After the prayer I head on to the next part as I go to present this to my family about what I
