chapter 28

The guys came along after they had finished what they were working on. As soon as they found me they immediately knew what I was needing help with.

"I can look at this place and already tell you a lot of things. The most important is that building in this area is going to be hard but doable. Are you going to want a bunker of some sort for any reason?" Mike asked.

"yes, we may have to have one for those who are unable to protect them selves and non-fighters," I answered.

"I am this the area you would like to build our homes on?" Mike asked.

"Yes, it is but I was not sure until you told me that it was possible," I responded. "I have no idea how to put the building or where it would go. But I do want the pack house to be the center place. Everything else can spread out. If possible, I would like to see everything spread out. As for the family homes the people need find a place that will l work for them. If anyone fights over a place than it will be no ones."

"My input to all this is similar but I have a rough idea of how we can do the other building. The area you pick is the best location I have seen so far. Has the best defense to fend off intruders and we can have everyone safe as well. How about you tend to anything you need to and let us handle the rest. As for individual housing they must go to you first before they can start building. This way no fights will break out. Also it will encourage them to know that they can only get the place through the alpha and not someone else," Mike said.

"I believe that will work on the personal housing situation," I agreed. "Before they can build I will enforce the three area rule. They will have to find three locations that they like. So if someone else picks it they have another to choose from. I will do the first come first serve rule. Also they would need to work out a plan to pay me for the spot."

"I see what your doing," Mike responded.

"Hmm," I started, "if anything does not look right. I want you to draw up plans. Show it to my father and uncles. They will go through it and see if it works as well. If it still not quite right I want you to ask the warriors and any one else that may have an idea for good defense. What I want is our pack house to be a safe place for everyone. Add some of the females, they may not know much but could have seen something that was missed or needs to be address."

After our little meeting I need to go attend to other issues that need my attention. I have always been busy doing. I sometimes get messages from other packs that are in trouble thanks to Richard.

Richard has a lot of packs come to him for help since I had step in to help. After the help I had gave him, many packs came forward when they are struggling with their protection and need a lot of help to fend off the rouge wolves that kept on attacking. Instead he refereed them to me told them that this group is who had helped him to fix their own problems and reorganize how somethings are done.

So I help and give them what the cost would be. If they can handle the food for extra people and handle the place we stay the cost would depend on how much help we have to give them. Also depending on how well and quick their wolves can learn what I am teaching. 

In the end I have helped many small packs and they have come to understand how to handle their protection better. On top of this I help them build up resources that can help them in the future for their packs. In return I ask for a small part of the profit to pay me back for a year. This type of payment each month is all I ask of them. After the year is over I contact them to let them know on top of sending the notice that all the payments have been met and that the contract that has been fulfilled. 

This keeps the pack in a balance and not at a big lost. What surprises them is the amount I ask them to pay a month at a time. Especial when I look over their finances and how the pack is doing. 

I do not need a lot of money from them. By setting up a year payment plan just for some help but they provide housing and food, everything balances out for each other. 

At the end everyone has learned what we need to teach them. The pack that we help feels safe and more secured. 

I love my lecture I give to the non-fighters when I go to start the training. It goes something like this:

I do not expect you to go out to fight on the front lines but I do expect you to be able to defend yourself and the pups until help comes to your aid. What I am doing is giving you guys a chance to hold on longer til help comes just by knowing how to protect yourselves. By the time I am done the females and children will know the basic knowledge of protecting them selves til help comes. 

Also the pups will be taught how to hide from any enemy to keep them selves safe. The more skills you learn from us the better off you guys will be when it comes to protecting yourselves in the future. I am strengthening the weaker members so your warriors have a better chance to come to your aid.

On another note maybe this will in courage some to become more and want to become a warrior. When I leave I want to see the non-fighters to have at least some ways to stall or protect yourselves. 

For the warriors, well I am going to put you through hell and keep on pushing you. I want you guys to be strong for your pack. This pack is what you are protecting so I have to play hard ball with you guys so you can stand up to what may come your way. When I leave you guys will have at least be able to hold your own against one of us in a one on one fight. 

As for the training schedule, I will help the your Alpha and head warrior set up the training so that it will work after I am gone. This is to help you guys as a pack. I am not taking over anything at all just rebuilding a new system that will best help you guys out.
