Chapter 68

Atifa's pov:

"Finally!" Amira exclaimed in exasperation as she plopped down on the couch as soon as we entered our two room house. Our 'home for the next few days.' Or until when we stay here. We couldn't be too sure about anything when we were with ammi. Especially after yesterday's events.

It didn't look too bad, the house I meant. But I could care less about noticing anything at that time! I felt so tired and sleepy. Bringing our stuff in the drawing room or living room, whatever it was, I plopped down on the couch beside her as I saw ammi surveying the house with sceptical eyes.

"I'm so tired!" I moaned while finally taking off my niqab and throwing my head back on the couch. "Turn on the ac, will you?" I asked her, now taking off my hijab.

"Don't ask me to do stuff." She pouted before doing as I said.

"Jazak Allahu Khairan." I murmured in gratitude, finally feeling a bit better.
