Chapter 37: Didn't Feel Right

 Carlos heard Eva's reply, he knew she was right but what if there was something more to the note. Shrugging off the thoughts, he said, "Everything's going to be alright, okay? Let me take you home so you would rest." He offered.

Eva, with a slight nod agreed to Carlos offer as he helped her stand on her feet. Carefully supporting her, he guided her to his car. He guided her to the passenger seat and closed the door, then walked around to the driver's side and got in.

As he started the car, he glanced over at Eva and saw that she was staring out the window, her eyes unfocused. He knew she was lost in thought, and he didn't want to interrupt her.

So he simply started driving, his mind racing with questions and concerns. Who had sent the note? Why had they sent it to Eva? Was it a prank, or was there something more sinister going on? And most importantly, how could he help Eva through this?
