52. Proper closure

Prof. Kapoor was quiet. He didn't say anything, he knew if she didn't want him to interfere then there's no way he can . This daughter cum disciple of his ,is quite scary sometimes and he knows she can handle it .

She looked at him and said ,"The reason I was busy , was because certain someone handed over all his surgeries to me before retiring .So ,besides my scheduled surgeries I also had to complete his surgeries , hence I didn't even had time to eat. " And because of that , others targeted her. They became more daring since you were retired .

She left the last part unsaid , she didn't want to make him unhappy .

Prof. Kapoor's expression changed , he looked guilty and tried to explain ," You know na , I couldn't do it coz of my hand tremors . And you are the only one who I approve of , so it was handed to you ."

D looked at him for sometime and closed the topic she didn't want to talk about work now .

She turned her attention to Mrs. Kapoor ,"Aai , how's his condition now ? He's taking his medicines on time ,right ?"

Mrs. Kapoor looked at her husband who was quite nervous,"He is fit and healthy. You don't have to worry , pillu . You should just take care of yourself . Now that you are here , why don't you stay and take a break . You can look for another job after some time , first take a good rest ."

D smiled and nodded ," I was thinking about taking a break . "

She turned to Prof. Kapoor ," Baba , plz plz plz plz plz tell me na , where is he ? "

Prof. Kapoor couldn't hide his anger ," You are still Searching for him !! I told you, he doesn't want to meet you. Why can't you just let him go !"

D appeared as if she was greatly wronged and tears filled her eyes , she turned to Mrs. Kapoor and with pitiful gaze said ,"I just wanted to talk with him . If he doesn't wanna meet me , I should at least have proper closure , no . And I have time now , so I just wanted to meet him ."

Mrs. Kapoor chided him ," Hon , just tell her na . They are grown ups now , they can handle their matters . You should tell her ."

Mr Kapoor," But .... "

Mrs. Kapoor interrupted him ," Are you being stubborn now ! Do you want her to mourn over him for lifetime ? Do you want her to go out of contact with you again ? "

D gave Mrs. Kapoor thumbs up and controlled her laughter .

Now Mr. Kapoor has no choice but to give in to his wife ," Alright , I will talk with his parents ?"
