Miscalculation.

"Phew!" Draven let out a cool breath, as he shook his hair with a towel.

"For some reason. I'm brimmed with so much energy. I would not even be surprised if I could break the wall with my strength." Draven then made a bitter smile. "However, if that happens. I might lose a shelter."

Draven's had quite a lot of neighbors. Around his neighborhood, many rundown uneven apartments and ramshackle houses were built entirely by hand with no equipment. It was clear the place he lived was made up of people who could not survive in the district city.

It was also for this reason Zeka country was only a C-grade country for its people living with different statuses. In a particular area similar to where Aiden was living, where people with distinguished and lofty reputations and standings lived. While in the area, which was quite far away and almost reached the border of the city district, lived Draven and his neighbor.

Although Draven has his own apartment in Zeka high school, it was a shared apartment together with his batch mates. However, Draven could feel they did not like him and always picked a fight and argued together with him, and thus Draven wanted to move out.

Not only that, Draven needed a quiet environment, for he preferred to be in solitary to have peace of mind. Hence, Draven decided to live here in a slum.

Although he anticipated people who live here must have nothing to do but always pick a fight which might be the reason why they stood so low in the social hierarchy. He was quite surprised that they were minding their own business.

"Selena, wake up!"

Draven stood before a sleeping Selena who was having an awkward position. Draven could not help but scanned his gaze and could not help but be astonished by Selena's beautiful body outline and face. He could not help but smack himself thinking he might have become a pedophile.

Selena still wore her dress, which adjusted once the older Selena reverted back to normal. Hence, Draven had been feeling afraid of people in the slum, and once sets their sights on her gorgeous dress, they might covet it. If it reached this point, he would not be surprised that he needed to make a decision to move out before his place was ravaged by theft.

Snore!

However, Draven received a constant snore, as if Selena was in a deep sleep and was having a dream that Draven could not interrupt despite he was trying to interrupt it with Reality. Draven frowned, and his eyes widened with realization.

"That's right! It should be better for her to continue sleeping." Draven nodded his head and took a paper and bullpen out of his backpack. As he wrote something in the notebook, it created scribble sounds before it halted.

"Leaving this note, "I'm in school. Don't wander around without my knowledge. Better to stay put and watch TV…. Maybe only for a few minutes, for I don't have money to pay for the extra Electrical charges, your guardians, Draven!" this should suffice." Draven nodded, feeling satisfied.

"I hope she will listen to my reminders. Or else…" Draven shook his head sideways.

"Anyway, I will be late for school. I should save more money, so I can only jog to school. However, I needed almost five hours if I continued jogging without rest. What can I do?" Draven was anxious.

"Sigh. I will be late for three hours, then. There was no noteworthy happening today, aside from the few lessons that I had already finished reading from the library. However…." Draven imaged a particular person. "Will the guard allow me to enter once I'm late? Although the protocols say I can't! With reason, I might have the chance to enter!"

"Now… Now… what is the reason I have to say?" Draven reached the door, as he tapped the door's body, and gently pushed it.

He was afraid it would break if he placed more strength, for not only the door does not have a doorknob but only a handmade lock, but because its body was uneven and looked so old. With the boosted strength he had if he placed more force, who knows what would be the result?

"I guess I will think over it once I reach the gate."

Draven finally left the rundown apartment and was met by a solitary scenery. People could be seen walking in and out of their place, but their haggard face explains their current situation. Their lifeless, hopeless, skin and bones with unsightly skin-filled impurity and repulsive odor explained their appearance.

Draven did not react in any way nor smile at them to greet them. He appeared to be indifferent to their circumstances, but something within Draven's heart was filled with the resolution not to become like them or even think of a grandiose dream. To fill the humans with equality on their human rights! However, it was nothing but a pipe, an impossible dream!

It was akin to a mortal trying to become immortal in a single night!

Draven hasten his footstep and before he knew it, as he was lost in thoughts, he had stood in front of the area where the Dimensional zone appeared. Now, the zone had been filled with people working to excavate and investigate the remains. Draven stood dumbfounded, should not he need to take half an hour to reach this area? How come he appeared here when he only took a few steps?

Draven decided not to dwell more about it, as he decided to redirect the path. The Dimensional zone covered a huge area, thus the supposed 3 hours of a long walk to his high school, became five hours. Draven was an expert when it comes to the path he take, but in the end, five hours was already the limit.

"Let's see. After that crossroad, with a few turns, I have to take. The high school will be within my sight. However…" Draven scrutinized his vicinity, and his gaze landed on the people who were walking as they minded their own business. "How come are they moving so slow and so sluggish?"

Draven gazed at each of them, some of the latter wearing their suits for their work, some planning to enjoy the day without work, and while parents bring their children to their school. However, despite the clear difference between them, there was a noteworthy thing to Draven's eyes, as his pupils reflected the people taking their time to move.

For them to take their single step, Draven could feel like they needed three seconds to complete their single step before moving on as they proceeded with their other leg. With that time frame, they might need dozens of seconds to perform a few steps.

"Is this the work of the power of time from the fantasy book I read? How come I'm unaffected?" Draven contemplated.

Almost two hours passed, and Draven stood before the majestic gate with cars and motors parked at the side, with a dumbfounded expression on his face. Before he realized something, he was busy contemplating how the world worked so slowly. He reached his destination with a few students who appeared to be running to the gate in a hurried manner.

Once, Draven stopped walking. The world appeared to be back to normal, as Draven could see them walking normally, unlike the previous slow and sluggish movement. However, his mind was preoccupied with how he reached his destination without his understanding.

"This is the first time I miscalculated…"

=====

A/N: The country's grade is the same with city, but of course they have different name. For example, The Zeka Country, which the capital city is Dreka City, had the same grade because the capital city represented the whole country. This inspired by our country's history, which the problem of the capital city is like the problem of whole country, smh.

In addition, if you notice some inconsistencies like the author making a mistake that Zeka Country became Zeka city, please point them out, and the author will fix them. This commonly happens because the author naturally makes errors, just like the author describes the girl as "he". I hope you understand.
