She Forces Herself on Him

The news that Kara might be pregnant jolted James out of the mood for work. He was often distracted during meetings.

"Mr. James, Mr. James, what do you think?"

Nolan called out a few times, but James was still in a trance. Nolan started worrying that he was not feeling well.

"Mr. James, are you feeling sick?"

"What?"

James finally snapped out of his daze and looked at Nolan blankly.

"Mr. James, what do you think of the plan?" Nolan reminded him in a low voice. James glanced around and realized that all the board members were staring at him.

"What do you think?" he asked Nolan.

James caught him off guard. Nolan adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, cleared his throat, and nodded.

"I think it's okay, but it can be done more meticulously..." Nolan said.

Nolan went on to make a long speech, but James just nodded perfunctorily.

"Yes, what Nolan said makes sense. Listen to him. However, I hope that next time, there will be reports that interest the audience even more."
