Ready for the Consequence

Standing aside, Jenny listened to Emily's comments on Kara and felt quite pleased.

She didn't understand how Kara, who had just a few advantages, could gain James' adoration. Therefore, she was very angry when Kara criticized her.

She thought that Kara deserved these vicious words.

However, she was surprised that Kara should take in every word of Emily with a smile.

This made Kara whether stupid or hypocritical.

Seeing that Kara answered her question with a polite smile all the time, Emily was annoyed.

She said, "It's been quite a while since I came here, why hasn't the tea been ready yet?"

Kara gritted her teeth as she was a little uncomfortable with serving tea and Emily had known that. She knew that Emily was deliberately offending her.

"Sorry, Aunt Emily. I'm not very good at it. Jenny is my secretary, why not ask her to serve you tea instead."

It was the secretaries' duty to make tea for the guests. Kara had the right to ask Jenny to do so.
