Speeding Through

I soon arrived at the small lodge in Gol Var, way to the south of Ulfar's Den, it was sitting right in the top of a hill by the mountains, it had the look of a cozy place where an hermit would retire to.

I went to the library of the lodge and started to pull all the books from the bookshelves, without a single care to look for the right one to pull.

The bookshelf soon clicked after pulling one of the books, and soon a secret entrance with stars leading downward showed up.

I followed the stairs, coming before many statues as I went on, I was very aware that those were not simple statues, but rather the remnants of the Drust army, who after being slain had their souls put into constructs made of stone amd wood, powered by the twisted energy Gorak Tol commanded.

Two statues rose to life at my flanks, I gave them no heed as I imbued the Light in both my wings while doing a wing strike in each of them, shattering them to pieces and making them howl agonized shouts before its souls were dispersed.

The Light was very effective against death magic ans shadow magic, which were what these construct were glued and powered by.

I kept pressing on, fighting increasing numbers of constructs in these catacombs, looking for the damn book.

The more the constructs came my way the more I became impressed at my newfound strength, what would take me seconds to conjure was now an instant to cast.

Bigger constructs started to show up, they were made of hardy stone and ancient agonized souls, so to fight them I used a mix of Sand Breath with the Light, effectively dissolving whole chunks of them in a single breath.

My abilities now were much less limited, I was able to use dragon breaths once every twenty seconds without feeling pain or tiredness.

The draconic powers that came frlm the titans also were improved upon, I now could stop ten seconds of time before it strained me, also my healing could save anyone from death for a couple of seconds, like if I bounded their soul to their bodies and willed it to heal.

My elemental might and prowess noe extended to about a hundred meters from me, making me able to perceive anything that had a spirit around me, be it living or an object.

My Arcane Knowledge was also useful in calculating spells, it allowed me to weave and use my mana effectively reducing waste and improving cast times.

Taking the book called [Tome of Silver and Ash] I read speedily through it, helped by the calculating powers of Arcane Knowledge before finding the recipe for the alchemical fire used against the remnants of the Drust.

I would give these recipes to the alchemist I asked Emmeral to fetch, that would give us the firepower to go and fight Gorak Tol.

I only needed to hurry him up and check if Trag and Mona could get hold of Brother Pyke for him to send us to Fate's End, if not I would barge in there myself even if I had to tear the storm apart, play time was over... I needed to save Selia.

Emmarel managed to buy silver and commission a blacksmith in Falconhurst to make arrows out of it, it took quite the xoin for that, but as she knew the smart drake was able to pay it back in many folds, she didn't mind.

The only troubling part was making that slighty quirky alchemist make the recipe she just received from Theo, not only it was highly explosive but also required some rare ingredients, which she had to grudgingly go after due to time constraints...

And after bringing him the ingredients and him nearly killing himself a couple of times, he finally managed to make some more stable products.

But at that time the authorities were starting to get concerned at the many explosions and fires that were being put out daily in the district... rushing someone with already bad safety standards was trully a dangerous thing to do...

She also saw some shadows lurking in the Crimson Forest, people she knew had bad intentions, likely those twilight fellows Theo was interested in...

The big tree in the center of the forest seemed to be their aim, she decided to inform Theo about it and see what he does, she also wanted to interrogate them to understand this new organization she never heard of.

-----

In the north of Kultiras in the Stormsong region, tales of a cowman that brought along a shapeshifting pet was starting to spread, they had already fought a couple of patrols who wanted to stop them, making a bounty be put on their heads...

Soon some groups got notice of this cowman, people who were searching all over for Theo and his group.

But atleast Trag and Mona managed to get in contact with Brother Pyke, even if they had to kidnap the fellow and then explain what they needed him for... Something which caused their already big bounty to soar, but thankfully Brother Pyke had a close to legendary patience and agreed to help them as long as they didn't do anything that went against his morals.

As for Theo, he was making trips visiting Selia, getting the ingredients for [Liquid Fire] aplenty and scanning the Emerald Dream around Kultiras to see how serious was the damage, which he would sometimes take his time to cleanse and remove any effigies and ritual sites that connected to the Nightmare.

The Twilight Cultists were already in the shadows and had taken notice of him, now it would be see who stood standing after their confrontation.
