Khazmodan's Issues

Menethil Harbor had an interesting history behind it, this once served as the place the Horde built to make a fleet to assault Lordaeron, they wanted to go by boat due to the difficulty that assaulting the Thandol Span would bring, the two massive bridges were very defensible.

Daelin Proudmoore conquered this horde outpost and renamed it in honor of the king of Lordaeron, Therenas Menethil II, and since then it has served as the main hub of transportation for both trade and military operations between the dwarves and gnomes with their human allies to the north.

It currently was being expanded and flourishing as a city, and would soon become a multicultural center of the alliance.

This region was still heavily militarized, there were adventurers and soldiers alike in the region, bounties for hunting orcs and raids were frequent, meaning that there were plenty of opportunity for mercenaries and a big need of soldiers to maintain stability.

We could then dress like a party of mercenaries while here, of course Trag's appearance would make others attack him fue to him being confused as either a horned ogre or horned orc, there were no taurens around here and usually anything bigger than a man belonged to either the old Horde or was a hostile tribe of the indigenous population like gnolls for example.

This meant we could not let him be seen. We would camp outside cities and settlements and only go in if we needed information or supplies.

The time we chose to rest was during the day, since it was when we could be sighted if we traveled by flight.

At night it was very hard to find a flying object even if it was as large as Deathwing himself. Speaking of which, he was the number one threat around these parts, he was monitoring both the Blackrock mountains and the Grim Batol Dragowman clan, meaning that he had agents in the region and that he would sometimes come and go in the region.

If we met him we would be sheep waiting for slaughter... It made caution more important than haste, if I wanted to reach Uldaman and return alive, we had to not be seen.

-----

We found a cave to rest during the day, we had landed a couple miles away from Menethil Harbor and were going east along the mountains, there were many caves to hide in the dwarven lands, it was not by chance that alot of their cities were built on mountains and were like huge caves, the terrain of Khazmodan was often rugged with hills, mountains and valleys, making for a paradise for the small guys.

"Coming to the most dangerous places in Eastern Kingdoms to find a ruin, what do you expect to find there?" Emmarel asked me.

"Ever heard of the titans?" I asked back.

"Not really..."

"Titans were the gods of dwarves, gnomes, vrykul and humans, they were the ones who created the Dragonflights... Ever heard of Tyr? he's quite popular with the humans, he was just a titan watcher, responsible for maintaing the facilities in Azeroth working." I started to introduce the titans to her in a way that she could find their influence in the world.

"Oh.. they were also the ones who made the Well of Eternity back then, and also the Emerald Dream!" I then decided to throw this bombs on her.

Both the Well of Eternity and the Emerald Dream were known to the night elves, their civilization was birthed out of the Well and their druids were living in the Dream for thousands of years, most night elf males were inducted in druidism since the fall of the Kaldorei Empire, how could they not know the place where many among them spent most of their time in, not to mention the Wildgods which were always going in and out of the Dream.

"I guess the closest thing I've heard of them would be the Goddess then... I really don't know what to make of your words, I've lived a very long time and never heard of it." She said skeptical.

"Yes, yes... I imagine it can be hard to get around it, but it is not hard to know the reason behind them being lost in history... Their watchers are either corrupted, weakened or imprisoned... which led to their facilities and their servants to go into disarray. Alot of the races that came from the titanforged, thats how you call the races made by the titans, became corrupted by the curse of flesh, leading to their bodies growing old and with the generations to forget..." I explained the reason behind the titans being forgotten, but not the reason for their presence here nor the duty of the titanforged.

"Well... its better to see once then hear a thousand times, just wait till we get there I guess." She said still skeptical, there were too much happening the world without these "titans" ever doing anything about... how could there be gods that never were present? Atleast Elune watched over her race and responded in times of crisis, what about these titans?

Trag and Mona were adventurous but they were not interested in history that much, rather Mona was looking for animals to study while Trag was sightseeing and looking for nice fights, the reasons behind their decisions were different even if they had a wanderlust common it.
