Chapter 13

*Birds eye view of the soldiers each apart in the village facing straight towards the falling trees*

All the soldiers pull out their weapons ready to fight, but as soon as they do, the trees stop falling.

*Total silence*

*All the soldiers look around with absolute caution*

"AHHHHHHHH!" A loud scream sets off alarming the soldiers.

*Licht, Kazuo and Jagram full pace advance towards the scream ready to go all out*

The 3, within seconds reached the origin of the scream, only to find nothing there but each other.

"Soldiers, where is John?" Jagram tremored.

*Soldiers shake their heads to signal to Jagram of having no idea where he was*

*Soldiers then hear strange footsteps originating right behind them*

They all snapped around and waited for the footsteps to come closer carefully lowering their weapons.

As soon as the footsteps stopped right behind the house they were looking at, Jagram screamed out.

"EVERYONE FIRE!!"

*Chains of bullets and beams broke the eerie atmosphere now becoming chaotic*

Soldiers now all with the desperation of wanting to survive and kill the monsters, scream and throw their grenades.

The grenades they used were specially modified to impact only a small area but with devastating impact. These were known as Arp grenades.

On the throw, all soldiers simultaneously activated their shield armour to maximum protection to absorb the impact.

*Destruction causes thick smoke to cover the area*

Heavy smoke blankets the abandoned village.

*Silence*

One by one, the soldiers follow through and use a flare light from their armour to indicate their whereabouts.

*Soldiers slowly start to make their way towards each other*

As Jagram and Licht got closer, they both started calling out their own names to confirm their identity.

However, there was no response from Kazuo.

Strangely his light was coming closer but there was no call made out.

"Kazuo??" Licht and Jagram called out in hesitation.

*Kazuos flare light suddenly goes out*

Jagram and Licht stop in their tracks.

Jagram then activating his maximum shield turns towards Lichts light.

"Licht, where is Kazuos light?" He trembled.

Then Licht comes out from the smoke with heavy sluggish steps and stops in front of Jagram.

"Licht!"

*No response*

"Licht!?" Jagram got nervous hearing no reply from Licht who was stood right in front of him.

*All of a sudden, blood pours out of Licht's mouth and armour*

"LICHT WHAT THE FUCK!?" Jagram screamed in horror.

*Licht then slams down heavily face flat onto the ground with no warning*

Jagrams eyes open wide to the point where it looked like it was gonna pop out of its sockets.

*Graphic scene is unrevealed with Lichts fallen body with his spinal cord ripped out from the back and a deep dark wound in his neck reaching all the way to the inside of his mouth*

*Jagram starts to breath heavily with rapid speed*

"NO WAY"

*Jagram starts to back away bit by bit with his whole body shaking*

Suddenly, footsteps echo the surrounding area.

*Jagram now loosing his mind after what he witnessed, frantically points his weapon to every direction*

The same footsteps he heard just a while ago, had just reappeared out of nowhere, but this time with no clear direction.

*As Jagram turns around frantically in fright, Licht's body fades into the smoke*

*Then, out of nowhere, Kazuo appears from the smoke with the footsteps now coming to a halt too*

"Kazuo!?" Jagram cried in fear.

Except, something was strangely wrong.

Kazuo was crying with his tears flowing down nonstop.

"KAZUO, WHY ARE U CRYING!?" Jagram screamed.

Jagram then legged it towards Kazuo.

Upon reaching a few meters away from Kazuo, Jagram nervously started asking multiple questions as he slowly starting trudging forward the last few steps.

"Kazuo, why didn't you call out your name just a moment ago? Where did you dissappear to all of a sudden? Why are you crying?"

*Jagrams questions get interrupted by Kazuo who finally says something.

"I'm sorry" Kazuo cried as more tears started to flow down.

"Kazuo don't cry brother" Jagram replied back now slightly tearing up himself.

*Suddenly, Kazuos eyes instantly turn black and he stops crying*

Jagram stops abruptly.

"Kazu-

*At that instant, Jagram's whole upper body violently tears off*

*Shadow of a deformed creature is displayed over behind Jagram*

*Scene of thick smoke covering the missing upper half*

*Disturbing scene displayed of Jagrams lower body left intact with a pool of blood and bits splattered around*
