Alex laughed, "Really mother? "

She nodded," I always wanted you to take a brave step up to her but you never did. I could do it cause I thought it would cause problems for you. But after what Cynthia told me I was so happy I decided to organise a picnic as a celebration"

Alex hugged her, "I'm glad your not angry mother. I thought you would be"

"You finally showing this side to you will make her stay in her place. And am glad you have someone to protect you" she said.

Alex sighed holding her hand, "Thank you, mother"

"So tell me more about your boyfriend," her mother said.

Alex giggled, "I told you all about him last night"

"Yes, you did but tell me more," she said.

Cynthia ran into Alex's Office Wednesday morning.

"Cynthia I have a meeting right now, what is it?"

"It's James, his back," she said.

Alex froze dropping the documents she had.

"You remember him right," she said.

Alex gulped losing her balance, "What's wrong?" Cynthia grabbed her.

"Am fine" she murmured.

Cynthia frowned, "Are you sick, you can't just feel dizzy out of nowhere?"

"No, it's okay" Alex took a deep breath.

Cynthia sat down, "If you say so. Anyway I got news from our friends that James is back, his father's company is facing problems so he returned to help"

"So why are you telling me, for at concern us," she said.

"Oh I thought you needed to know since he had a crush on you back then," she said.

"But you know I didn't, so you don't need to tell me anything about him" Alex got up, "excuse me I need to go to my meeting"

Cynthia watched her sister leave in a hurry with a pale face. She wondered if something she said had made her angry.

Nathan received a call from his father.

"It's done son, his back," his father said.

"I know I just read the article about them. Thanks, father" he said.

"So what's next?" his father said.

"We wait for them to come crawling to us. Then I can go ahead with my plans" he said.

"And Alex.. won't this affect her?".

"I know it will but in the end, she will finally get over her trauma. He needs to pay for what he did" he said.

"Since the news has spread, she must have found out already. Check on her" his father said.

"I will Dad". After he hang up Nathan told Becca to get the car ready so he could go see Alex. He wanted to call but decided to see her would be better since Cynthia had told him about her being sick.

"Does she know you're going to see her?" Becca asked on their way.

"No"

"Then what if you miss her? When she left work already"

"Don't worry her sister just told me Alex is there but sick" he frowned.

"Sick?"

"Mmm, she almost fainted," he said.

"I hope it's not serious," Becca said.
