45. Legal Raid

Well, he actually still does illegal raids to this day, even when he was in Jakarta. He left some clones back home to raid dungeons. They won't disappear as long as they didn't get too much damage even if they are separated so far with Indra.

So he could still control them even though he was in Jakarta and they were in Bali. But he makes sure to only send them to low level dungeons to minimize the possibility of them being destroyed because they are only as strong as B-Rank Hunters now.

The reason he still raids dungeons even when he was in Jakarta was because he didn't want to be suspected as the mysterious hunter. If the mysterious hunter suddenly stopped raiding dungeons when he left, then people would suspect him or his sister as the mysterious hunter.

But now, he doesn't need to raid dungeons illegally because he can do it legally and even sell the materials. Now is the perfect time to stop because he and his sister have been acknowledged as S-Ranks.

If the mysterious hunter stops now, people will think that he is wary of the 2 S-Ranks Hunter and decides to stop. The 2 S-Ranks might find him and it might not end well. That's the scenario that Indra has thought of a few times.

Anyway, Indra and Dewi will join 3 raids in 2 days. They will use those raids to try their abilities, so they will be the main attackers. The other hunters will just tag along and will only fight if both of them can't fight anymore, which is highly unlikely to happen.

So they will most likely kill all the monsters by themselves. But the other hunters will still get paid the same so they shouldn't complain.

The next day, they go to the 1st C-Rank Gate at 10 in the morning. Both Indra and Dewi don't have any gears. They just come wearing short pants and T-shirts, very contrast with the other Hunters that at least wear leather armor and carry weapons.

Well, it's not unusual for 1st timers or low rank hunters that don't make much profit. Besides, they are S-Ranks, so everyone doubts the C-Rank monsters can even scratch them. They are just staring because they never saw S-Rank hunters before instead of them not having any gears.

'U-um, can I ask for autographs?"

A girl in her 20's approaches them and suddenly asks for their autographs.

"Ours?"

"Y-yes, I might not have other chances to raid with you again, so I want to ask for autographs when I have the chance."

"Me too."

The C-Rank hunters suddenly ask for their autographs. S-Rank Hunters are celebrities and the idols of many. Even though both of them are new, people already start idolizing them.

Indra was very bold and brave even when arguing with the President. But he gets shy when these people ask for his autograph. His sister is enjoying it though. They quickly give their autographs before also taking a photo with the hunters.

Then, after everyone is ready, they enter the Gate. The one that leads the raid is a C-Rank male Mage that often leads raids. Usually, the highest rank hunter will lead the raid, but both Indra and Dewi are inexperienced.

Well, they've talked outside and there won't be a need for the C-Rankers to fight unless it's really needed. Both Indra and Dewi will be at the front to fight so they can try their skills. But the experienced C-Rankers can give them pointers from time to time on how the raid team usually works.

After they enter the Gate, Indra casts buffs to everyone except for Dewi. She wants to get used to her original power first before trying Indra's buffs when hunting monsters. That way, she will have a grasp of her original abilities.

Dewi transforms into her Moon Rabbit form and everyone is amazed. Indra's buffs also amaze them because they never get such powerful buffs before. Furthermore, he gives them multiple buffs at once as if those spells are snacks.

"Sis, I want to try fighting the monsters too, so don't kill them all by yourself."

"Sure. I will leave 1 or 2 for you, hehehe."

"Eh? Young Master Indra, you can fight? You are a healer, right?"

"I am a healer, but I also have some battle skills."

"D-do all S-Rank Healers can fight too?"

"I don't know about other S-Rank Healers, but at least I can."

Indra will only show a fraction of his skills to show that he is a rookie that trains his skills. He knows the Hunter Bureau will ask these C-Rank Hunters about his skills later, so he will only show a little of his skills to them.

What he shows is his Muay Thai skills because he has told the Hunter Bureau that he has the same physical power as A-Rank Hunters. He wants to show them that he doesn't have combat magical skills and can only use the Martial Arts he has trained for years to make use of his physical strength.

"Hmm, it seems I have sufficient physical strength to defeat these 4-armed Gorillas. I don't need to use buffs on myself to beat them."

Indra shows a little bit of 'struggle' when fighting the monsters, unlike Dewi who has it easy. She struggles more about the killing because she only ever kills insects like mosquitos. So her problem is the mental burden, but she gets over it rather quickly because these monsters are very different from normal animals.

"How are you doing, sis?"

"I'm fine. I was feeling uneasy at first, but now I feel a lot better. Probably because these monsters look hideous and ferocious, so I can't see them as animals anymore."

"That is normal for a first timer, Young Miss. Most hunters have never even killed a chicken before, so they need time to get used to the killing. Only a few percent of hunters can't get used to killing even if their enemies are monsters. The toughest to kill are humanoid monsters because their bodies are very similar to humans. They usually chose to work at the Hunter Bureau."

"Humanoid monsters, huh?"

"You should just think of them as monsters. Don't think of them as humans even just a little or you won't be able to kill them. It's especially the case for Goblins that have small bodies. I heard some people couldn't kill them because they have small bodies which remind them of children. But then they got mercilessly slaughtered by those 'children'. In the end, they are still monsters that are trying to kill humans. If we don't kill them, they will come out of the dungeons and kill powerless citizens."

They continue to move deeper into the dungeon and Indra also 'tries' using debuff spells. He asks his sister the difference before and after he uses debuff spells. But she can't really feel it because all the C-Rank monsters she attacked, died in one blow.

It's useless asking his sister, so he asks the C-Rank hunters to try fighting a monster without debuffs and a monster with debuffs. He is genuinely curious about other people's opinions on his debuff spells' effects.

The result is they can kill the monster with debuffs in just 5 seconds while it took almost half a minute for the one without debuffs. Maybe it's because he used almost all of his debuffs on the monster, so it got weakened too much.

"We probably could kill it faster if we knew it was weakened that much. Our attacks could easily damage its body, so the Tank wouldn't even need to hold it in place and the damage dealers could just attack it."

"I see. So we can get better results if my team members understand the effects of my buffs and debuffs, huh? Thank you for your cooperation."

Indra is actually impressed by the C-Rank male Mage that leads the raid. He has a good analyzing skill and has a lot of knowledge that he happily shares with everyone else.

'Oh? His maximum potential is actually an A-Rank. It's only at the bottom of A-Rank, but it's still much stronger than C-Rank. Maybe I need to recruit him, but let's not make a hasty decision. I need to investigate him first to know his character.'

They keep moving deeper until they eventually find the boss room.
