The boy determined to achieve his goals, cant help but wonder. Why the hell was he is an otome themed RPG game and with no Cheats where Psychotic and Evil characters caused widespread mayhem and destruction on a whim! How is this fair! Hello author here, quick few words. This is an original fantasy story where the main charachter isnt anyone special and has to use his brains and work hard to achieve his goals. Fair warning this novel is not sunshine and rainbows so read at your own caution and dont get too attached to the characters, hmm in hindsight that doesnt seem to be a good thing to put in a synopsis. I will put 5 chapters from the start so you can get an idea of how the story is. Afterwards there will be 1 chapter update every 1-2 weeks depending upon schedule and dont worry except the beggining chapters the rest are very long like 3500-4000 words long so the wait will be worth it. 'Writing in Apostrophe to show inner monologue fo characters' "Writing in Quotation to show dialogues" [Writing in Square Brackets to show Prompts] I may later set up a petreon for those who wish to read chapters in advance . Enjoy reading the novel and please leave a review. Thanks!

A Wizardly Intervention

When he got back, he was roasted by Enid how some flowers kicked his ass. He didn't even want to argue with the little twerp. He handed the plants and the goblins ears getting him a 68 bronze coins.

He was wondering before why people didn't go and pick the flowers themselves. Now after the goblin attack, he understood. Life outside the town walls wasn't safe. Although in hindsight the game did mention that once in the loading screens, he just didn't pay much attention to it. 'damn, all that useful information and I just ignored it.' Well as they say, there is no cure for regret.

The following three days he rested in his bed so his wound could heal but he wasn't being idle. He paid a waiter to bring him some basic books about spiritual arts and magic.

After reading the books related to magic, he realized he couldn't understand jack shit and would need a tutor for it but the ones about spiritual art he understood better.

The world was filled with both mana and spiritual energy and one could use it as his will provided if he knew how to.

Spiritual energy gathering was similar to meditation where one willed the energy into the body and they entered through the pores of the skin.

The energy would be supplied to all the cells of the body strengthening them and also acting as a storage so they can be used later for spiritual arts.

These three days he was focusing on feeling the energy of world, the spiritual energy. He couldn't pick up anything so he asked Jerome for some help. He told him to imagine being submerged deep into a pond and the feeling of wetness that it offers.

After 3 days he could feel something different about the air. What helped him was that it felt different compared to his world when compared, now that he focused on it. It had a sort of soothing and calming effect compared to the polluted air of his world.

At the end of the third day, he could finally feel something seeping into him as he willed the weird feeling on his skin inward. It was something calm, something serene.

It was refreshing feeling like finally getting rid of a stuffy nose and being able to breath, he could feel the spiritual energy filling his cells.

One thing he found about spiritual arts was that they were closely guarded by the organizations or families that owned them using them to stay ahead of their competitors, while in the public only mediocre spiritual arts were spread around unless one found superior arts in ruins.

Still magic was more encouraged almost everywhere due to their being less number of mages compared to spiritual art users, with magic being considered more superior and talented individuals could create their own spells while creating potentially new spiritual arts was almost impossible.

He Meditated late into the night ,after he thought it was finally enough for his 1st try, he went to sleep.

The following day he checked the status page once again and found that both spiritual arts were unlocked but he still didn't have enough spiritual energy to activate any of them which he could feel instinctually.

"Very soon I will be blowing people's mind with sick flashy moves." Reinhardt chuckled and then left the room going downstairs.

His wound had already healed in the three days of recuperation which surprised old man Jerome as well since such a wound at least takes two weeks to heal and much more time to walk properly.

Reinhardt just shrugged and said 'I am built different' to which the old man just snorted and returned to his work. Reinhardt himself was conscious enough about the fast recovery but shrugged and chalked it up to being the effects of living in a fantasy world.

He just went out for a walk and wanted to freshen his mind, three days in the room was suffocating for him.

He didn't mind it when he had a PC and video games but now it was just torture. Damn he already missed his videogames and most of all he missed his family. '*sigh* lets get sentimental some other time, too much work to do.'

In the three days he was also trying to guess how he came into this world and the only conclusion he came to was that it was either some higher being or a ritual of some sort maybe one such as the hero summoning one made popular from modern culture.

Either way he would need to leave the town soon to get more proof and find a way back, since the local library here was small and didn't have enough information. He laso couldn't aske someone since he didn't want to be treated like a lunatic.

Meanwhile he would travel to the places with the best loot, he already knew it from the game and would be an idiot if he didn't do so. As for him stealing the main protagonist cheats, well fuck that bitch but still it wasn't a compulsion to take all the cheats.

As for the plot, he wanted nothing to do with the plot given how convoluted it is, it would only delay his search and most of all he didn't want to interact with those braindead male cast that opposes the villainess.

While he was travelling the street, he saw that the people were being rather talkative today. They were a gossipy bunch, the people of this town, but today they were especially chatty.

He went towards a man with a head resembling a dragon and the rest of his body covered in yellow scales.

They were the Dragonites, a race thought to be a deviation from the dragon species. The man in his tribal clothing stood 7 foot tall and was talking to another one of his kin. Reinhardt asked him what the fuss was all about.

The Dragonite replied that the wizgommin had come to the town and were asking the people about any peculiarities they noticed.

Reinhardt arched a brow at the reply. The wizgommin were basically magic police.

Magic being an incredibly destructive medium was often feared being used in the wrong hands, the solution they came up with were the wizgommin.

Some centuries ago, a few prominent magical families after the first Mage wars, came together and founded the wizgommin. Their job was to mediate the magical organizations from going into war with each other given the low number of magic users and prevented others from using magic to harm innocents as well.

Since then, they had stopped many evil magicians from wreaking havoc on the world and prevented tragedies like the Mage wars and Runifications which was essentially mages conducting mass huntings for harmless magical beings leading to their extinction for magical ingredients.

They had incredibly sway in the world and were tasked with keeping the balance of magic in the world and would often hunt down rogue and dangerous magicians but their real enemies were magicians that used blood magic, void magic, black magic and necromancy being considered taboo among the magic circle.

Still thinking about the wizgommin, Reinhardt went to the marketplace of the town which sold stuff really cheaply but sometimes stuff could be faulty as well. He was looking for a low-priced magical pouch to take all his stuff once he was ready to leave the town. He would be lying if he said he didn't want to see a magical pouch capable of storing anything.

It was a wide open area in the town where people had set up tents and stalls selling goods and magical item and some other miscellaneous stuff.

The good thing about these marketplaces was that you could barter more freely with them compared to shop owners.

He walked among the stalls looking for one that sold a magical pouch that had enough space and was cheap too.

He found a bunch of them but some were too expensive while others were faulty after Reinhardt checked them despite the stall owners vouching for the quality.

Eventually he found one and was going to go the guild to take another task but he bumped into a kid.

"Sorry sir, I didn't mean to." The kid said in a pitiful expression.

Reinhardt smiled at the kid, "It's okay kid, no worries" he turned around and took a few steps before he tried to feel his coin pouch only to find it missing. He turned around and found the child sprinting away with his pouch. 'Sonuvabi-'

He was wondering when he would get into the cliché of being pickpocketed by a child. What now? He is going to chase him and encounter an important character in the story?

Reinhardt ran towards the child hurling obscenities at him. The little twerp was fast and slippery.

He chased him for about two minutes when the child took a turn and disappeared from his view.

When he turned around the corner intending to give the kid an ass whopping, a bald man with a purple robe and golden inscriptions was blocking the child.

He said in a kind voice, "I believe that pouch isn't yours child. Please return it." the child looked distressed as he looked at the man and then at Reinhardt.

He turned pale when he saw Reinhardt with bloodthirsty smile on his face promising the kid an ass whopping of a life time.

"But…but I am hungry." The kid looked again at the bald man before he said in a pitiful voice.

The bald man nodded in understanding and waved his hands as a gold coin appeared in it. "Here, now give the pouch back to its owner, stealing isn't right."

The kid had stars shinning in his eyes he took the gold coin and turned around. He threw the pouch into the unsuspecting face of Reinhardt before he ran way.

Reinhardt frowned from getting hit in the face with a bag of solid coins rubbed it to soothe the pain. He couldn't believe how fast the kid changed his act.

'He is gonna see the light from beyond once I catch him for hitting me in the face.' Reinhardt glared in the direction where the boy left before he looked at the man who smiled at him.

"So young man, who are you if you don't mind me asking?" the man asked.

"A prophet."

This intrigued the man, "Oh really? How so?"

"No man I am just messing with you, can't you see?" but still Reinhardt was a little scared how his prediction came true and he did meet someone.

Someone from the Wizgommin, that purple robe was a standard wear for its members.

The bald man laughed, "As a matter of fact no, I am blind my young friend." Reinhardt now looked closely at his eyes which were murky and noticed the man was indeed blind hinting towards his disability.

Reinhardt immediately started apologizing, "Sorry, I didn't see…" before he immediately face palmed. 'Dammit, two times in a row.'

The bald man laughed, "Don't worry my friend, I don't need my eyes to see, the mana shows me the world."

Reinhardt remembered an innate magical ability called mana sense where one sent mana pulses much like sonar pulses of a bat to scan surroundings, he was guessing it was something similar to that.

"So what are the wizgommin doing in a far out town like this?" Reinhardt was curious, the wizgommin were heavy hitters in the world of Astarga and thought to be free of politics and a righteous bunch.

But he wasn't going to be fooled by such an act, he knew that they were really corrupt and the wizgommin might have had the goal of being righteous when they first formed but during the time of the game story, they were responsible for a bunch of fucked up shit. Still it didn't mean that they were all bad.

"A creature or multiple creatures have been detected to appear from a rift separating the void and our world near Orwell Forest. We are here to neutralize the threat. Which reminds me, Reinhardt you came into this town the exact day we got the reading." The bald man said with a relaxed smile still on his face.

But Reinhardt wasn't feeling so relaxed as the old man.

His eyes widened in surprise at how the man knew his name, showing he had investigated him before hand and was suspicious of him. Their meeting wasn't a coincidence.

Reinhardt wasn't a void creature but his appearance sure was suspicious. They would have already investigated that his identity would have been only recently created giving rise to more suspicion.

An unnamed person brought into the town at the day a void creature entered the world. That didn't sound good.

Being helped by Celine wouldn't matter to them, they held enough sway to offends a duke's daughter on such a minor issue of taking a nobody's life with just cause of suspicion on being a creature from the void. Also he wasn't sure Celine would even care.

The atmosphere suddenly turned tense as Reinhardt put his hand of the handle of his sword while the Wizgommin's smile faded a bit. If a fight broke out Reinhardt had a 99 percent chance…..a 99 percent chance of dying against a trained Wizgommin.

"So what? You think I am some shape shifting void creature that came here to cause wanton destruction in the form of a human?" Reinhardt said as he started sweating from the tension. If He made one wrong move, he was dead.

The bald man laughed which surprised Reinhardt, "Don't worry, the mana shows me that you are not a void creature. I am just simply curious young man and I admit it's a bad habit."

Reinhardt relaxed but was still was a little wary, "Okay….. but why did you bring it up then?" he was talking about his identity, no one would be comfortable being confronted like that…..except B movies villains, they love it when someone figures out their identity even having a whole speech prepared beforehand.

The bald man said with the same smile, "Like I said…..I am a curious man." He said to Reinhardt.

He was blind from birth but he could see the world in terms of mana. Everything for him was different colors with smoky wisps emanating from them. He could even tell about a person from their mana density but Reinhardt…..he was like a bright beacon in the dark, it almost hurt his mind looking at him. He had an untapped potential for magic and was sure could go very far in the field of magic but he didn't tell Reinhardt that, he didn't want to spook the kid a second time.

The Wizgommin turned around and started to leave, "The name is gor young friend, I am sure we will meet again. Until next time."

Reinhardt looked at him as he left and disappeared from his view, "Okay...that wasn't weird at all." Now he had the attention of a wizgommin. 'Great! adding magical maniacs to the list of things to be wary of.' He decided to go the guild to look for some more tasks to get rid about the thoughts of the wizgommin.

...................

A few days later he had already completed some tasks such as finding a lost cat, delivering some goods from one part of town to the other, giving a love letter to a girl from an admirer and some other easy F grade tasks.

Today he took a D grade task of clearing out a goblin's nest. Coincidentally it was the nest of the same goblins that attacked him, it was about time he got his revenge and create a fiery hell for them….literally.

He was surprised how the people here didn't think of a Molotov, cheap as hell and destructive as hell too. After scouting in the forest for a while he finally found a few goblins grunting their way about, following them sneakily he had found their nest which was some kind of a burrow.

When they all were inside, he slowly neared the entrance and took out the shapeshift Molotov, a bottle of alcohol and cloth dosed with alcohol stuffed in it.

He took out a flit as well and after a few tries he lit it up the doused cloth and then threw the burning bottle inside.

He backed up and let the nest burn while taking out his sword. After a few moments the goblins started scurrying out of the nest with shrieks of panic and pain as some were on fire while some were coughing their lungs out due the smoke unaware of Reinhardt standing near them.

As soon as Reinhardt saw them, he started slashing at them with his sword not giving them a chance to defend themselves.

He targeted the ones that were not burning, the fire getting rid of the rest. The goblins were slaughtered considering they were disoriented from the fire and couldn't defend themselves.

In a few moments Reinhardt was breathing heavily as he slew almost 20 goblins while the fire still burned the nest with black smoke rising into the sky. He then made sure the fire didn't spread to the rest of the forest or all the forest animals would come for him with a vengeance and he wasn't talking about the Disney ones.

He went ahead and took their ears and then started returning to the town. It was still uncomfortable to do this stuff but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. 'I shall henceforth be called Reinhardt the goblin slayer...on second thought that doesn't sound so cool.'

…..

In the dukedom of Count Restize inside the castle of the duke, celine sat on a sofa in a lavishly decorated hall wearing an aquamarine colored dress.

Sitting opposite to her was the second prince of the dyna kingdom, prince claude dyna who wore a pissed off expression.

He was tall handsome man with blonde hair and green eyes and was wearing a luxurious suit sipping his tea and eating biscuits while grumbling silently.

"Your highness you seem troubled, is something the matter?" Celine asked being polite, truth be told she didn't want to converse with the prince given how immature he acted at times but it wouldn't do well to ignore the childish prince.

Prince Claude slammed the tea cup on the table, "Yes there is, it's you." He gave a venomous reply.

Celine arched her brow not understanding what he meant. Actually, she did but she didn't want to further aggravate the situation.

"Do you know how vexing it is that father always compares me to you, always undermining my efforts telling me of your achievements!" Prince Claude said in a raised voice, showing the insecurity he had towards his overachieving fiancé.

'Do better then' Celine thought but didn't want to antagonize the hot-tempered prince too much lest he went ballistic.

"I am sure the king only wishes for you to improve by giving you examples Your highness." Celine replied while sipping the tea with elegance unbothered by the prince's rude replies.

Prince Cluade remarked with a frown on his face, "That's the point, the examples are always you. I am sick of hearing everyday about you." They remained silent for a while seemingly in thought with his head down before he faced up and looked towards Celine with a focused look. "I think we should break off our engagement."

The prince said with a determined face. Celine although a little surprised at his bold suggestion still remained calm and replied, "Prince Claude the engagement is a political marriage decided by the king, simply wishing for it won't annul it."

She also didn't want to marry such a spoiled brat but being the daughter of a duke, she didn't have the freedom of choice even if her father always put her first before everything. The king was a friend of the duke, both had promised a marriage between their children in their youth. The other point was that the nobles were increasingly becoming daring and the marriage was a way to join the two houses and alleviate pressure from the crown.

Although he said such bold words to her, she was sure the prince wasn't as bold enough to speak out his thoughts in front his father, the King of Dyna kingdom.

Prince Claude said with a determined expression, "I will convince father, I don't want to spend the rest of my life with a woman like you." Celine resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the prince's idiocy.

Prince Claude continued ranting while Celine started thinking about the boy she had saved. After a week of surveillance and not finding anything suspicious she told her men to stop spying on him given he was just trying to get by from the reports she got. 'I wonder what he is doing now?' Celine thought as prince Claude ever the more determined continued with his childish complaints.
