Chapter 47: Letting Go

(Somewhere at the sea between the boundary of the three kingdoms of the sea)

The Queen had lost some of her warriors to the enemies who had attacked them, they seem strong enough and well prepared for anything. The queen had taken down five of the sea warriors on her own and the rest seems to be targeting her nonstop as ordered by whoever that had sent them.

"Come at me, you must kill me or regret not doing so if i escape" the Queen said in laughter ready for them

They looked at each other making eye gestures at each other as if they were planning something bigger. they brought out some tiny pointy pins that was made out of fish bones and placed it on another object looking like a flute

"That's poison" The leader of the Mer-Warriors said in surprise

The sea warriors blew it repeatedly at them that it pierced into the skins of those who weren't careful enough

"Protect the Queen" The warriors shouted trying as much as possible to protect the queen

(Prince Luca and his sirens swimming across the Boundary to return back to their kingdom)

"Stop! do you hear that?" Prince Luca asked while they were coming closer to the boundary

"Permit me to check your highness" one of his warriors said.

Prince Luca permitted him to go before them and see where the noises had come from.

After few minutes had passed, the warrior returned in a jiffy looking like he saw a sea ghost

"The great queen is under attack?" he said to them

"Attack?" Prince Luca asked in surprise

"Yes, the attackers uses poison" he said

"Quick, take my father back to the kingdom, i will go with the other warriors to save the Queen" Prince Luca ordered

"Yes, your highness" he responded

"Be safe" King George told him

"I will" Prince Luca promised.

"You have been quiet ever since Olga left, talk to me" Oma said to Erica who was seated on the bed looking lost in her own thoughts

"You could have been in danger, everyone could have been in danger because of me" Erica said turning towards her

"Come on Erica, not this again; she wouldn't have done so, we all know she was here to scare us and play mind games with us" Oma told her

"You don't know anything about us, we are more dangerous than you think and takes pleasure in seeing others suffer; Everything Olga said about me is right, you just don't want to believe it" Erica told her

"Your words are breaking my heart, are you planning to let me go?" Oma asked her almost tearing up

"This is for the best, I need to take Olga back to the sea before she causes more damage to the humans, you and Lava are my weakness and i don't want to lose you both" Erica said almost getting emotion "shit, i don't want to feel like this" she said to herself trying to be strong

"How am i supposed to live without you if you just leave like this?" Oma angrily said getting up

"Don't tell Lava that i am gone, it's better this way since he is avoiding me now" Erica said getting up

"You are doing it again, acting like you don't feel anything and wants the best for us" Oma said to her "Fine, you can go; i don't want to hold you back anymore" Oma said turning backwards from her

Erica tried to touch her but she couldn't as she tries to hold back her tears "I will be taking the snacks with me; you know what to do" Erica said to her before leaving the room.

Oma burst out crying after she was gone "I know you had to go someday but why is it this hard to believe it?" she questioned herself.
