Chapter 46: A Fair Warning
(Oma's home)
"Who miss me?" Oma asked sliding the door open, she was startled at the way Lilian and Erica sat on the chair looking blank at her; her grocery bag fell at the presence of Olga
"Honey, why are you dropping the bag?" Her mother asked coming inside the house
"Hi, we meet again" Olga said out loud for Oma to hear Cleary
"Who is the guest in the house?" Oma's mum asked curiously
"She is Erica's foster mum" Lilian responded while getting up from the cushion to help them out
"Am sorry for visiting without informing anyone, i came back to the city days ago so i decided to pay a surprise visit to Erica" Olga lied with a cunning smile
"I never knew Erica had a mother, I never asked; i enjoyed her taking care of Erica so i forgot to do the necessary thing" Oma's mum said returning the smile
"It's nothing, i wish i could be in good terms with Erica and enjoy her the way you all enjoy her presence; i can't thank you enough for that" Olga said silently
"Come on, i should be thanking you; it's almost like Erica was my own daughter, you did well raising a daughter like her" Oma's mum said gently feeling grateful towards her
"Mum, maybe Lilian should help you prepare something for the guest" Oma interrupted the annoying moment she had refused to witness between them as it was beginning to piss her off
"Make yourself comfortable here, i will get something for you" Oma's mum said "Join me" she said again to Lilian as Lilian Icily stare at them before joining her
"Of course, i feel comfortable" Olga said smirking at Oma.
"What do you want?" Oma asked her
"Nothing, it's not bad to pay visit to someone who helped me find one of my kind" Olga said
"We didn't help you, you threatened us" Oma angrily said coming closer but was stopped half way by Erica
"How is your injury by the way?" Olga asked looking at the very place she had pierced on Oma's body
"Fuck you!" Oma cursed
"Now that's a very bad thing to say to someone who kept you alive" Olga said with her eye color changing to that of a monster
"You are coming with me outside; you have overstayed your welcome" Erica angrily said looking back at her with her own eye color changed.
"Do you want to fight me here? why not try and see who is at loss?" Olga asked coming closer to her
"Threaten me and you will wish you never step a foot here" Erica angrily said back to her
"You must really think you finally have a family but once her mother finds out the kind of monster you are, you will kill her like you did to your own mother; there is nothing like family between monsters and humans" Olga told her
"The only monster i see here is you, Erica is nothing like you?" Oma told Olga
"Really? she looks so human staying with you, wait till she gets angry; she won't even think twice taking you down and everything you love, she is a mermaid who killed her own king per an order" Olga told her with a grin
"Stop forcing her to be like you, that was Erica before she met people who truly cared about her" Oma said
"Well, i don't care about any of you, i just want you all to have it at the back of your head that you can't hide from me" Olga silently said to them. she walks closer to Erica and bent her lips towards her ears
"I am going to destroy your relationship with everyone until you feel alone just like you were, you are meant to be the queen's shadow for the rest of your life. Am filled up just by feeding on the fear of everyone today, the next time i come; i will be taking one of your eyes with me even if i have to kill human in this neighborhood" Olga whispered silently into her ears. Erica clenched her palm letting her finger scratch out blood from her palm, they watch Olga open the door leaving in happiness.
"Don't listen to her, she is just trying to mess with your head" Oma said immediately to Erica holding her hand.
"What about your mother? i don't see her" Oma's mum said coming out from the kitchen with some baked snacks
"She had an urgent meeting to attend, I will bring her the snacks later" Erica responded
"That's okay, she seems like a nice woman; am really glad that i got to meet her" Oma's mum said looking thrilled.
Oma glanced at Erica who was just quiet with blank expressions on her face, she couldn't read what Erica was feeling inside of her.
