Chapter 33: The Proposal

Oma blinked nervously when Erica had withdrawn her lips from her.

"You know you can't randomly kiss people" Oma silently said

"I thought humans always do this gesture to people they love and cherish? i saw that in movies" Erica said with a scoff

Oma waved her head in amusement "Some people could take it the wrong way" Oma told her

"That makes it more interesting" Erica said with a grin

Oma chuckled before looking back at her "How did you get out without an injury?" she asked her.

Erica looked up at her ready to say something as she flashes back to yesterday's incident.

14 hours ago...

" You are going to die and your daughter will never know you as her mother, you can never rest at the underworld" Olga told her as she applies more force

Vashi chuckles silently " What is bound to happen will happen, no matter how much you try to cover it; my story will never end here" Vashi said, with that she threw the Shiny pearl as far as she could to Erica's tank, before Olga could turn backwards, everywhere went dark with noises of shattering glass on the floor.

Vashi transformed back to her mermaid form forcing Olga to go down with her because of the weight of her tail, screams were heard accompanied by sharp sounds of flesh tearing and wild slashes. 

Olga raises her claws up to slash back Vashi but was held back on the hand, the light was suddenly turned back on revealing Erica who was standing in her own feet

"Do you think that beating up a siren who is in human transformation makes you a hero?" Erica asked Olga.

Olga looked at Vashi who was in agony and weak on the ground, her body was wounded and covered in her own bloods, she silently looked back at Erica faking a smile

"The Queen ordered she be killed for taking you away from me, i should finish her up before she gets back to haunt us again" Olga said

"D... don't listen to her, I am..." Vashi coughs out blood from her mouth without finishing her sentence

"Is that a new trick for the both of you? I don't care about the both of you nor whatever brought you here, you are endangering our own kind in the stranger's land" Erica said to them

Olga burst out laughing "You are just as ruthless as the people describes you to be, you don't want to know about your mother?" Olga asked

"You are the sea witch? you shouldn't exist among us; you are a traitor just like her" Erica said making eye contacts with Vashi who was almost dying

"What makes you think so high of yourself? you are just the queen's little puppet" Olga said to her

"Yes, at least I don't leave in the Queen's shadow just like you" Erica said to her with a smirk.

Olga angrily grew thorns on her body ready to devour Erica but Erica was fast enough to stab her on her left eye with a piece of the shattered glass.

Olga screeched and flew immediately in agony.

Erica looked back at Vashi who was almost dead from her injuries

"You are not healing? that's strange" she said to her

"M...my disease won't let me heal" Vashi responded choking on her own blood slowly

"You are dead to me the moment you left me alone; I am not going to let anyone shake me with those motherly emotions" Erica Icily said to Vashi. 

Vashi coughs out blood from her mouth as she tries to reach Erica's hand slowly, she ended up dying before she could reach Erica's hand. Tears drops from Erica's eye when she had seen Vashi's lifeless body

"Farewell mother" she said.

Back at the hospital...

Oma hugged Erica who was having an emotional breakdown.

7pm at the Laboratory...

"I can't believe the three creatures did all this damage" Idris said coming inside the underground building that reeks of bloods and dead bodies.

"This is how dangerous they could be; we need to be careful of them" Mr. Hansel said

"What if these creatures are hiding here?" Idris asked

"They are probably back at the sea; they came looking for each other" Mr. Hansel said

"It would be really bad if that video goes viral, the people will stay in fear and chaos" Idris said to him

Mr. Hansel looked at him as if he wanted to say something...

"I told you to come alone" Someone said from the room

"Well, i don't know if this is a trap; he is harmless though" Mr. Hansel said "Stop hiding, i am here now" Mr. Hansel said again.

The stranger wearing a hoodie walked in to face them

"You look familiar" Idris said at the sight of her face

"Yes I am, I did work for Mr. Hansel" Imelda said with a smile

Mr. Hansel burst out laughing "Is this a joke?" he asked looking at Imelda

"Could be, I have long waited for this day to come" Imelda said

"Do you actually think you can move me with a little threat? it has no effect on me, you are just endangering yourself and putting the people in fear" Mr. Hansel said to her

"God! been cool isn't working for me" Imelda said to herself sulking her teeth

Mr. Hansel and Idris starred at themselves and back to her in confusion.

"I don't mean to disturb your peace mayor, I just want this opportunity alone with you, I want to be able to help you this close; I have so much admired your sense of intelligence and more" Imelda said looking overwhelmed and waking close to Mr. Hansel

"Hey, back off" Idris said to her

"Sorry, my bad; I am just excited" she said

"And what do you have to offer?" Mr. Hansel asked

"What if I say I know seventy percent about the creature Erica, her friends, the creature and many more information?" Imelda asked

"And how do you know that?" Mr. Hansel asked her

"Who do you think persuaded them and lead them here? who do you think got Erica out and marked out plan for you to catch her again? who do you think switched off the light during the fight?" Imelda asked

"I am this close to everything and I know what you should do to win back the people's heart and grow your business" Imelda told him

"And what's that?" Mr. Hansel asked

"Fear, this video is enough to bring fear to the people; all you have to do is play their hero" Imelda said with a smirk.
