Chapter 28: Blood & Water

"And who might you be?" Lava asked her as they all stare at the woman who might be in her forty's.

"You are one of them" Oma said drawing their attention towards her

"Witty, you must be the brain here" Olga said to her

"She is a mermaid too? How do you know that?" Lava asked looking startled as Imelda draws back in fear.

"I have been around one to know what they always look like and how they act" Oma responded "How did you find us? you are the one killing those people right?" Oma questioned Olga

Olga looked at her for few seconds as if she was thinking about something, she blinked her eye in pretense looking so emotional

"How can you say that to someone who is trying to help you? I am just here for my daughter before they find her first" Olga cried out

"What do you mean by your daughter?" Imelda asked her

"I need to get her back to the sea; my kingdom had a fight at the sea and i told her to escape from the sea for few days and hide; I came to find her before they find her first" Olga cried in pretense

They both looked at each other when she had said that as they had suddenly grown an emotion towards her fake words.

"How do we know you are telling us the truth? you can sugarcoat your words for us to believe in other to gain what you want" Oma said to her

"The pearl necklace around your neck; I gave it to my daughter" Olga silently said looking at the Pearl necklace Oma had around her neck

Oma quickly hides the necklace inside her T-shirts

"I am a warrior just like my daughter, I can get my daughter out only if you lead the way" Olga said to them. 

"We need a sure plan then" Lava said.

Vashi quickly washed down the blood drops on the washing sink when one of Mr. Charles maid had come in

"I am sorry for intruding, i didn't know you were in here" the maid quickly apologized

"It's nothing, you don't have to apologize" Vashi said to her

The maid turned to leave but stopped herself from going further...

"Can I say something to you?" the maid asked

"What is that?" Vashi asked

"If you are really searching for your daughter, Mr. Charles is the last person you should think of helping you; he is going to let you go after Mr. Hansel alone and do his dirty deeds, you will only end up just like his previous messenger" the maid warned

"Why are you telling me this? You work for Mr. Charles" Vashi curiously said to her

"Yes, I do, I just don't see any reason why you should work alongside Mr. Charles and beside; you are sick" the maid told her

"You saw the blood" Vashi said

"Yes I did, I have known for long and I think you should get yourself treated instead of involving yourself with all these politicians' drama" the maid told her

"Thanks, I will keep that in mind" Vashi told her.

(Under the deep sea)

"Have any of you find something suspicious yet?" Princess Adunni asked the five Riveria warriors with her

"Nothing your highness, whoever planted the piranhas at the sea; definitely have bad intentions for the Riverian" the first warrior said

"No Siren could have swim pass the Riveria main walls without falling into a trap" the second warrior said

"Piranhas wouldn't have attacked only the Kingdom of Riveria if it wasn't a setup" another said

"What if the culprit is an insider or might have been inside the palace to plant them earlier?" another asked

"It can't be true; no Siren can leave here without a pass from the royalty and beside... the Royalties from Oceania and Marco are the only Siren who had passed the Undersea wall guarding Riveria" Amanda who had come with the Princess said.

Princess Adunni had been thinking deeply during their whole conversation, she had thought about everything they had said and how possibly they could relate with the whole situation.

"Let's go" she quickly said interrupting them.

"But your highness... the killing could spread overnight if we don't find any solution today" one of the warriors said

"Her highness demands we go back; she must have had a reason for that right" Amanda said to them.

They quickly bowed to the Princess as they prepare to leave that part of the sea.

(Mr. Charles Home)

"Where has the strange looking woman gone to?" Mr. Charles asked the house maid

"She said something about going out to meet Mr. Hansel" the maid told him

"Why didn't she update me about that earlier?" Mr. Charles angrily asked

"Maybe she forgot" the maid responded

Mr. Charles fumes in anger

"I need her to tell me the fucking secret before Mr. Hansel finds a way to regain back his business that is going out of control, I don't care about her damn daughter" Mr. Charles angrily said

"Do you really believe that she knows the secret to the fish business? she might just be a homeless woman looking for a place to stay" the maid told her

"She is no damn homeless woman; she is a fucking sea monster" Mr. Charles angrily said

"Sea monster?" the woman asked in surprise trying to understand him

"I own this Mansion, going into the fucking pool for privacy won't stop me from knowing what is going around my own home" Mr. Charles responded,

He stares at the maid who stood there in awe not understanding any word from him "If this gets out, I will end you" he warned her.

"Yes sir" the maid responded

(Inside Lava's Car)

"Are we not there yet?" Olga asked

"Um, it's a really long distance journey, if we take the shortcut; Mr. Hansel's guards might see us" Imelda quickly responded,

She inhaled and exhaled when Lava had stared at her from the front mirror.

"It would have been easier if you had told me the location instead of endangering yourself, what if something bad happens to you? you could die..." Olga said to them

Oma swallowed her own saliva as she silently glance at Lava who was driving, she was sitting in front with him and Imelda was sitting at the back seat with Olga.

"You don't have to worry about us, they won't touch a hair from our body" Lava said to her.

"You know I can hear all of your heartbeats" Olga said with a smirk

"We all have heartbeats, that is why we are alive" Oma responded with a grin

"Let me make myself clear again; I can hear all of your heart beating so fast just like when you tell a lie; especially the heart that beats of fear coming from this side" Olga said looking at Imelda

"We ought to be afraid, you are a mermaid" Lava responded immediately even though he was shivering in fear.

Before they could think of saying another word, their body was suddenly rained with splashes of blood they almost blinded Lava's view as he almost caused an accident.
