Two worlds Apart:The Forbidden Love

{ MATURE CONTENT. NO RAPE} It feels like they have known each other forever but they just met. How could they feel so close but apart at the same time. The rule says no but they both say yes. The price to pay is as heavy as stone. How could something forbidden be so sweet. ..... A cough escaped her lips and she used her palm to cover her mouth. Why was it so painful? "What's wrong?" Lucas asked worriedly. She removed her palm to respond but gasped at the sight of blood that stained it. She coughed again and more blood spilled from her mouth. "Lisa!" Lucas hurriedly stood up and tapped her cheeks. She was losing consciousness. "Lucas, it hurts." She groaned and coughed out more blood. She tried keeping her eyes open but she could barely see a thing. Everything was spinning continually and Lucas's voice was becoming distant. Lucas immediately searched around the room for what was making her throw up blood and his eyes spotted the food. His eyes changed completely from blue to red when he realised what happened. 'She was poisoned!.' He gritted his teeth and scooped Lisa into his arms, teleporting to his room and laying her on the bed. "Lucas.." She groaned, her beautiful face contorted in pain. Green veins bulged under her skin and she creased her forehead. "I'm coming Lisa, please stay with me." He whispered softly as he rammed his head for a cure. He contacted his friend Theodore telepathically and he appeared. "Gather all the maids in the palace and take them to the dining." Theodore nodded and disappeared soon after. After which, Lucas climbed on the bed and stared at Lisa hesitantly. There was only one way to save her and he knew she would flip if she woke up. Leaning in, he placed his lips gently on hers. .......... Lucas was a guardian. He had done his job many times cleanly with efficiency and didn't have to worry about anything not until he was assigned to her. He couldn't stay in the same space with her without wanting to touch her. He couldn't just get enough of her doe like eyes that tried to challenge him everytime. He more than ever wanted to change the rules now. He suddenly felt himself getting attracted to her in every way possible and he hated it. This was his job and the repercussions of him doing anything else than guarding her was going to harm them both. Despite him knowing that he still took that step. A step he knew that would cost her him. Whatever was going to happen, he will allow as long as it doesn't touches her. Ever.

*GRAVEYARD-PART 4*

"Don't let go of my hand little deer, this fog is known to eat people alive."

"What?." Lisa glanced anxiously into the fog that was getting thicker, her heart suddenly drumming at an uncontrollable speed.

Why did it suddenly feel like she had been here?

Her grip on his hand tightened and his hand caressed hers immediately. And that action alone was able to calm her down considerably.

The further they walked in, the denser the fog became and suddenly it disappeared, causing Lisa to look around in astonishment.

"How did that happen?." She looked at Lucas and surprisingly, he also had a shocked expression on his face.

"The fog of the graveyard can only be controlled by the devil or his immediate blood relation, so how did the fog move? Because, for as long as I've been coming here, I have never seen it do that." He frowned at his surroundings, his eyes looking for any irregular movement.

"Oh my God! Does that mean the devil is here?." She moved closer to lucas and hid behind him, fear eating into her slowly.

"Maybe." He shrugged.

"Why are you so relaxed? It's the devil we are talking about here not just some random demon." She emphasized the last words and Lucas scratched his neck nervously.

"So you won't forget about that." He moved forward and approached a particular grave and Lisa followed him instantly.

"Yes I won't."

Finally, they were standing in front of a good looking grave compared to the others with a name largely imprinted on it.

"Lilian." Lisa whispered and the wind blew as if acknowledging the name being said.

Lucas was quiet. He was too quiet.

It was then Lisa noticed the emotion he wore.

Grief.

He bent down and placed a single rose flower on it, which she hadn't seen him pick up from anywhere. He knelt down in front of the grave and only three words left his mouth.

"Forgive me Lilian."

Lisa felt her heart squeeze at the sight. Was this how it felt like to actually lose someone you loved?.

If she ever lost Lucas would she be able to survive?.

The sound of heavy stone moving pulled Lisa out of her thoughts and she turned to see Lucas staring at the grave with a grim expression. His frown deepening.

"What happened?." She walked towards him and looking into the grave, a shocking gasp escaped her lips.

"She's gone! W-wasn't she meant to be there?." She took a step back and Lucas sighed in frustration.

"She was meant to be here but apparently she isn't." Anger laced his tone and Lisa could only blink at this revelation. For how long had the body been moved? She couldn't even begin to reason why on earth someone in thier right mindset will move a dead body!.

"How didn't I notice?." He squatted and ran a single finger through the interior of the wooden coffin.

"To be exact, it had been more than 10 years since the body had been moved." He continued searching the inside and Lisa's eyes widened.

"T-ten years?." She stuttered.

"Come over." He motioned for her to come and she walked forward, squatting beside him as her eyes didn't look off the empty coffin.

"You see this?." He pointed at the clean material inside the coffin.

"If a body actually had been here, it would have definitely decayed or have a fowl odour by now but this coffin looks like it's newly built. This is a different coffin entirely from the one Lilian had been in." He concluded and Lisa couldn't help but stare at him in fascination.

So he got all that from just looking at an empty coffin?.

"If that is so then who would have possibly taken her?." She questioned and the both of them remained silent.

Lucas knew that Lilian had a lot of enemies but going as far as taking her body didn't match the character of any of her enemies.

Even animals knew the line not to be crossed.

Then like a switch an idea came to him and he turned to Lisa who seemed to be in deep thought.

"I think I know a way we can find culprit but I'll need your help."

"W-what do I have to do?."

"You have a particular power to see what happens by a single touch. I want you to use that power now." His eyes held hope and Lisa replied.

"I don't know how to control it." She lowered her gaze and gnawed her inner cheeks anxiously.

What if she made a mistake? What if that dream she had about Lucas actually comes true one day?.

"Hey, look at me." He tilted her face upwards and they locked gazes.

"I believe you can control it." His eyes softened considerably as he encouraged her.

Lisa bit her lips nervously"I don't want to disappoint you lucas." Her voice dimmed.

"You can't. Now stop hesitating and help me solve this case!." He pinched her cheeks lightly and she swatted his hand, embarrassed.

"Okay, i can do this!." She took a deep breath and placed her hand inside the coffin. Concentrating deeply for any signs of memories and Lucas studied her, occasionally watching the surroundings around them.

If anyone were to come here, it was going to be a hassle to explain anything. Killing them was an option but he didn't think Lisa would accept that method.

"I don't think this is going to work." Lisa heaved, her breath coming out forced.

It was little but Lisa had been noticing it. The signs that her body was wearing out and Lucas seemed to be avoiding that topic.

"I know this may sound crazy but I have another idea." Lucas gave Lisa an encouraging smile as he narrated to her what she needed to do and her face drained of all the colour it had left immediately after he finished.

"No way!." She stood up abruptly, her knuckles turning white just thinking about doing it.

"Why?." Lucas asked. He didn't want her to do this. He had just suggested the idea but seeing how shaken she was he knew that something had definitely triggered an old memory.

"Do you know what your asking or me? You want me to go into a frieking coffin!." Her face turned red, the wind whipping past her face subtly.

"Lisa, Calm down." He tuned down the tone of his voice and Lisa relaxed slightly, moving to Lucas and wrapping her hands around him.

"I'm scared Lucas, I'm really scared." She didn't let him go and her words tugged a string in Lucas's heart, his mouth reacting before his mind.

"I'll be right here beside you."
