A car pulled up in front of The Great Towers. A tall man went straight in the towers. You could tell he is important by how the guards were opening the doors for him and his assistant following him trying to catch up with his pace.
He got into the lift and went to the 15th floor.
"Good morning sir," the staff said as he passed them.
He didn't reply. He was focused to go to his office.
"Dominic please come to my office in the next fifteen minutes with the IT manager," the man ordered his assistant as he opened the door to the office.
His office was dark with little light illuminating through the window. There was a book shelf at one side and a dark brown heavy woolen carpet on the floor. A large mahogany desk was set near the ceiling to floor window. On the other side of the office, there were sofa sets and a coffee table in the middle. The room was just perfect for him.
He went and sat at his desk. Fifteen minutes later, his assistant and the IT manager arrived.
"Here we are sir," Dominic said as they sat on the chairs opposite to their boss.
"What's the report on the X Factor Software?" He asked the people in front of him looking at them intently as if he was reading their souls.
"We finished the design Sir Xander," his IT manager said
"I know you finished it. What about the problem I showed you, was it rectified?"
"Yes sir, we did. We even used the best IT specialists in the City and they could not hack into it. The X Factor is the best we have sir,"
Young Xander took his laptop and started typing on it. His fingers moved swiftly on the keyboard. The men in front of him did not even know what he was doing. Ones he was done, he looked at his two employees in front of him.
"The speed is great. The chances of it crashing when customers use it is minimal. You did a great job gentlemen," Xander complimented them sincerely."
"No sir. We just finished what you had started sir. This will be the beginning of online market in Country D sir," Dominic said.
To be honest, X Factor was all Xander's idea. It had taken him months for him to create it in secret. When he felt that it was time to share it with someone, he shared it with his assistant and the IT manager.
The X Factor was going to change lives everywhere. It was meant for people to shop online and save them time from going to the stores and long queues of paying. It was also meant for money transactions and saving. This was actually the best idea Xander had come up with in thirty years.
Since the X Factor was ready, he could now tell his grandfather and parents about it. He was now ready to release it to the people.
"How do we introduce it to the market? Xander asked.
The two men looked at each unsure and scared to talk. Xander saw uneasiness in the two men.
"Dominic..." Xander turned to his assistant who was now having drops of perspiration on his forehead and was really restless.
Dominic cleared his throat.
"We thought we could use the media sir," Dominic said.
"Advertising?"
Dominic sighed with uneasiness. He knew that Young Xander never liked interviews. As a matter of fact, he has never done one despite being a big shot business man and the sexiest bachelor in the country. Xander rejected calls that asked him for interviews.
"No Sir...,"
Xander just looked at him waiting for him to continue.
"Interview sir. We could use interview to explain how the X Factor works. This would be direct to the people sir."
Silence engulfed in the office. The kind of look that Xander gave them, was enough to make the devil run for his life.
At that time, Dominic wished the ground would open up and swallow him alive.
"Who do you have in mind?" Xander asked.
"The Queen of Interviews. Lupe Gus." Dominic said.
