Tlou slowly opened his eyes. "Hmm?", he looked around and wasn't in the room he slept in. The room he was in now looked like the interior of a mud hut. The straw roof had let some light in, he could see dust slowly fall. Other than a straw bed, the room really had nothing. 'Did my HP fall again once I fell asleep? That's a bit unfair, I could barely get my barrings yet I died. Is this the price for reincarnation? Extremely short lives? Unfair! I have already died twice, both times I was afraid and not at peace. What horrors will I have in the future? Will I never rest from now on?'. Tlou felt indignant, he thought rebirth was a new start but now he was getting slapped in the face. Tlou was no saint while he was still alive, but he was a believer. And so he started to think that instead of hell, The Lord decided that Tlou would spend eternity living in fear and constantly dying. He wanted to cry but then shut his eyes tight and took a sharp breath before exhaling and opening his eyes slowly. 'That's not the right attitude, I lived a horrible life because of that attitude. Who hasn't experienced injustice in life? What exactly is fair? There's no such thing as a hopeless situation, only hopeless people. Maybe this is a test to reform me!'. With his spirits lifted he quickly got up and tried to summon the system, but there was nothing.'Huh? Has it been revoked or do I need another system fragment? No matter, it didn't help much anyway'. Suddenly, Tlou was hit with extreme vertigo before everything went back to normal again. He then looked around before looking at himself. "System? What am I on about.." Heydar muttered to himself. " Heydar!" a voice shouted. " Oh no the Lord's breakfast' Hydar said in an anxious voice. He got off the bed and ran outside. The outside was a flat grassland. Heydars hut was surrounded by 3 others forming a triangle to a large mud hut in the centre. He quickly ran into one of the huts. This was the kitchen. The inside was plain with a wooden cupboard and a tripod next to it. Heydar got a bucket with maize meal from the cupboard. He scooped some out with a bowl and poured water before stirring. He put a pot on the tripod and extended his arm with his eyes closed. *Gush*, water materialized in his hand and floated into the pot by his command. He kept his arm extended and closed his eyes again, fire shot beneath the tripod. The water quickly boiled and Heydar poured the maize inside. Heydar closed his eyes again and a layer of hair grew over his arm unnaturally and he began to stir. Some maize would splash on his arm but he was unaffected. "The lord has a lizard mollasc like inscription on his arm *sigh*, when will I reach that level?" While distracted some porridge splashed on his bare chest and his face contorted in pain. He finished making the porridge and added sugar before running to the building in the center. He dashed in and went passed the stairs to a room passed the living room. The room was hot with steam. There were weapons of all sorts everywhere. Deeper in a man was inspecting a sword on an anvil. "Failure.." he muttered before tossing the sword to the side. Heydar rushed to the man in silence and gave him the porridge. "I suppose I should eat with my hands?" the man said without looking at Heydar. Heydar got flustered and quickly ran to fetch a spoon. After handing him the spoon Heydar watched the man eat in silence. After about a minute the man looked at Heydar. Heydar lowered his head in fear of disrespecting him. "Go fetch yourself a portion and join outside. Heydar was startled but didn't stand on ceremony. He fetched porridge and ate with the man outside. He sat on a stump while the man sat on a wooden chair. They ate in silence.

The man finished after Heydar and put his bowl on the floor. Heydar picked it up and went to clean them before he could even take 3 steps away from the man said: "Heydar, once you are done with the dishes meet me in the smithy, it is time you learned to inscribe glyphs on items and enchant objects". Hyedar was so excited he forgot to move, it was the man's gaze that woke him up from his state. "Thank you for this opportunity Lord Yaghma!" He knelt on the floor with tears in his eyes before running off to do the dishes. 'The lord is in such a good mood today, he did not chide me for forgetting the spoon or waking up late' Heydar mused. Although Heydar lived in worse conditions than his master he was not begrudging. His master had raised him from birth and had been taking care of Heydar in exchange for labor. He never treated Heydar harshly but he was not particularly kind either. He was strict and spoke little. Even though Heydar was not his son he had inscribed a few glyphs on him to help him! "After learning inscription I can do so much more!", Heydar thought of a time when he was young and saw wolves for the first time. Though they were not ordinary wolves. They had markings of fire glyphs. Heydar was frightened and called for Lord Yaghma. Lord Yaghma was extremely calm. He simply slashed once with a fire-inscribed sword and killed 12 wolves in the blink of an eye! Heydar never thought of reaching such a level till his master inscribed him more and more. He started entertaining the thought of being an inscriber if not another type of magician! He quickly finished and ran to Lord Yaghma. Lord Yaghma had already tidied up the smithy a bit and was not sitting on the table. The table had an odd-looking quilt and 4 daggers next to other miscellaneous objects. He gestured for Heydar to sit next to him. Heydar sat next to him and waited for him to finish arranging the objects. "Heydar, from what you have seen me do, what do you think is inscription?" that was the first thing he asked after finishing. Heydar didn't immediately reply, he sat in silence with his mind elsewhere. Thinking of all the things he's seen Yaghma perform. He then collected his thoughts and vocalized them. "Inscription is the craft of carving limbs with magic and enchanting items so the spells can be stored and cast upon mental contact," he said in one breath. He then waited with his hands clutching his pants in fear that his answer might have been disappointing. "That is not a bad understanding, in fact, there exist a few institutions that do just that when inscribing. But that is not the true essence of inscription. True inscription is not just "storing spells" true inscription is essentially inscribing objects and limbs with a spell that does not require the caster to construct it. Seeing Heydar's confused expression he picked up the quill and began muttering strange words, the quil slowly started glowing till the tip was glowing with bright gold. He picked up one of the daggers and started inscribing odd symbols that glowed and released faint smoke. This was not the first time Heydar watched him inscribe, that didn't curb any of his excitement. Once he stopped the dagger stopped glowing, the words disappearing. He then stabbed the desk. Frost immediately formed and spread slowly where the dagger stabbed. He plucked the dagger again but there was no more frost. "This is what you and many believe inscription is" After saying that he picked the dagger up and inscribed it again. This time after inscribing he put on a serious expression and muttered more words. The inscriptions popped off the dagger and revolved around it a few times before landing and disappearing. He stabbed the dagger again and the same effects happened. Then again, and again, and again. The frost kept on spreading! Heydar was dumbstruck, all the inscriptions on his body disappeared after usage. This led him to assume this is how things work, after all, what lasts forever? "This is the true way of inscription," Yaghma said in a solemn tone while staring at Heydar in the eyes.
