Trying To Take My Mask Off

My dream came true but I'm not happy. I became a legend in the entertainment world, and everybody knows me. But I sacrificed too much to stand here. I don't even know myself anymore. If you ask me what my biggest regrets are. It is that I don't know myself anymore, that I don't feel what I used to feel, that I don't know what makes me happy, that I'm now almost like a robot. It would be nice if I could change myself. If I could just turn back the time or go to another world, it doesn't matter what, if I could do it I would. And then I would change myself and search for what I want and become a person again. The girl smiled and said: "I'll give you a change." [Will you take this change and change yourself or will you stay the same? I really hope you'll change and be happy this time.] ---------------------------------------------- A boy who achieved his dream but felt alone met a girl who gave him a second chance. Will he be happy this life? ____________________________________________ THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW: English is not the language that I speak normally. Jiyu

29_Jiyu

Both sides knew that they would meet each other in Jiyu. They knew that the last battle would end there. But not only they knew that it would happen. The residents of Jiyu knew that they would be coming. Coming here to destroy the peace here, to destroy their home.

In the east and in the west, on both sides at the same time came soldiers marching. They came with a lot of people. All dressed up in armors. Some were new while others looked old.

But in the end, it looked intimating to the citizens of Jiyu. Here there were no knight or soldiers who would protect them. The only one protecting them would be their own fist.

"STOP!"

A young man stood in front of the soldiers of the west with a wooden stick in his hands.

"DON'T COME CLOSER!", he screamed even when he was trembling.

[I'll protect my home.]

This was all he could think about.

Suddenly other people stood by his side. They too had the same intention as this young boy. They wanted to protect their home. The home that they made with their own effort.

"Don't stand in the way if you don't want to die."

A cold voice with killing intent came at the back of the group of soldiers. He came forward with a sword in his hand and repeated his sentence once again.

"Don't stan in the way if you don't want to die."

"NO, I WON'T GO AWAY!"

The young boy screamed back with all his might.

"If you say so, don't blame me."

*SWISH*

His sword came towards the young boy. He would have died if he weren't protected by his own father.

"NO DAD!"

The young boy looked at the wound of his father. He was terrified. He thought he would die, but he didn't die instead his father died because of him.

"WHY?", he screamed to the sky.

"WHY?!", he screamed at the person who killed his father.

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US THEODON?!"

Theodon looked coldly at him and didn't answer back.

"Who still wants to die can stay here."

With that people ran away, ran away to a place where they could be safe even when they knew that there would be no safe place here. But not everyone ran away some stayed. They stayed because they knew that there would be no safe place anymore. They thought that dying would be better than seeing their home go down.

"Kill everyone here."

With that a one-sided slaughter happened. Not only the west was being slaughtered, but the same situation was also happening in the east.

Everywhere in Jiyu you could here screams and cries. Cries of having robbed their loved ones, cries of asking what they did wrong. But even when they cried out no one came to save them.

.

.

The soldiers came to meet each other in a wide green place with a big tree in the middle. It looked like a holy place. A place where they shouldn't fight.

But it was already decided that their last fight would be here in this place.

They made their tents and were planning their strategizes. When suddenly someone came running.

"I found him, duke."

With that the tent that once was full was now only occupied by two people.

Theodon and Morpheus were both searching for someone, and they finally found him.

"Where is he?", they asked impatient.

"He- He is already dead."

They both learned that the person that they were searching for was already dead.

"But we found a letter of him."

"Give it to me."

They took the letter from the messenger and sent him away.

Theodon read the letter once and then twice. He read it so many times but didn't find what he was searching for.

If you are reading this, it means that I'm already dead and the disaster is currently happening. If you wanted an answer how to stop it, I'm sorry that I can't help further. When predicting this I only saw a bad ending. But that doesn't mean there is no way of stopping it. Even when I don't know how, but I know that if this stupid war stops there would be a long-lasting peace after. I once again want to apologize that I couldn't help you any further. But I'll hope you'll be able to achieve it.

While this letter was polite the other one was freer and more direct.

If you want to know how to stop the war. I'll tell you that there is no way of stopping it. I asked my God if there is a way, but you know there isn't. Only if a miracle will happen will this god damn world be saved. So yeah, I'm sorry but you wasted your time reading this. So, you can only pray for that miracle, I guess.

"This- This can't be true."

Morpheus who was reading this letter felt frustrated. The only hope that he had was now gone.

"What should I do now."

Without anyone knowing the two dukes were breaking, breaking inside.

Once

Twice

Trice

That is how many times they already fought here in Jiyu. The once green square was now filled with blood. But their emperor was still need satisfied. They wanted the war to end soon. He wanted the head of the person who killed his beloved ones.

They ordered to remove the big tree that stood in the way of the war. Everyone knew that it stood in the way, so they didn't mind it that much. They cared more about staying alive.

But who would know that after they talked about how to chop the tree that their general would be missing?

They were gone for one day, for two days. But they returned one day before they remove the tree The generals didn't say were they've been or what they were doing.

On the day they decided to remove the tree they saw their general on the other side of the tree. While the general of the other side stood before them.

It was quiet so they could here the generals voices quite well.

"I, Theodon Athavarus."

"And I, Morpheus Xudiano."

"We know that we did a lot of bad things, things that we can't take back anymore. That's why please bring peace back, please stop this meaningless war. This war that shouldn't have happened. Instead, please bring misfortune to the evil ones like me. Please let the one who created this war die painfully. And please let the innocents one die in peace. In return I'll give you my everything, even my life."

Blood sputtered around. The two dukes killed themselves before their enemies. They killed themselves with the sword of their supposed enemy. Even when they were dying, they had a smile on their face. It looked weird, it looked disgusting, but most of all it looked peaceful.

Even when they didn't say anything amazing, it still shook their heart. What shook them, they didn't know. But what they did know was that they lost their general, the one who should lead them.

"What do we need to do now?"

Someone asked aloud.

"Fight?"

Someone said, with a voice full of doubt.

"No, I won't fight anymore."

They all looked at the knight who said this.

"I don't want to fight anymore. We already lost too much.", he threw his word to the ground with a sad and angry face.

One by one they threw their sword just like the knight to the ground. They had enough, enough of this war.

They buried there generals together. They buried them beside the big tree. Hoping that they could rest in peace here in the once holy place.

*PIT* *PAT* *PIT* *PAT*

After burying them it began to rain. The rain washed the blood on the ground away. The beautiful green place will look breathtaking after the rain.

But the soldiers went back to the place they came from. They didn't want to stay, no they felt that they didn't deserve to stay here.

With that the war in Jiyu ended.

When they returned their emperor and kings went mad. They ordered them to fight, but they didn't want to fight anymore.

But who knows why, but they somehow seemed to be the once rightful leader after a good night sleep. They seemed to realize what they did and felt shameful about it. They searched for the real culprit, but they already escaped.

They posted a wanted poster of the once called Marquis Millaetish of the Empire Kraezenda and the once called Duke Pereano of Yuimara,

Six months later, the peace restored, and they founded the culprits dead. It seemed that they didn't die peacefully, it looked like they died a really painfully dead.

There were no more world wars, sometimes there would be small wars between kingdoms. But most of the time it was peaceful.

Hey readers!

I didn’t had school today, so I decided to upload today. Maybe I’ll update another one if I have time.

This chapter is quite long, right? I’m really bad at speeches and all that’s why the thing that Theodon and Morpheus said was really weird. So please don’t mind that part.

Thank you @Drapho for the power stones three days ago. I didn’t have the time to write that is why I’m only thanking you now. So, thank you!

I wish you all a good day!

See you guys in the next chapter!
