Annoying friends

32_Annoying friends

After Luke and Narcys went out, the others sat together began to eat their lunch.

"Why are we even eating together?", Eira began complaining as soon as they began eating.

"Can't you sit elsewhere?"

He was eating her lunch while saying how Erebus and Ryuu should sit somewhere else and so on.

Not that anyone really cared. They just ignored her rambling and focused on their food before them.

"How do you know Luke?", Kai suddenly asked them.

Erebus looked at him surprised because Kai acted like he didn't want to get along with them. So, when he asked a question, it came out as a surprise. Not that Ryuu noticed anything like that.

"We know them since we were a child. My family are close friends since way back. So, it was natural that their kids would be friends too. Not that Narcys wanted to be friends tho.", Erebus said whil shrugging his shoulders.

"Ryuu became friends later when we were in middle school."

"I'm happy too that I didn't know them before. They are so annoying.", Ryuu added with a frustrating voice and a mouth full of his food.

"They?", Lucius asked.

He understood that he didn't like Narcys a lot, but Luke didn't look like someone who would annoy someone. He looks like someone you would have wanted to meet faster.

"Yeah, his other childhood friends.", Ryuu answered Lucius question with a look that showed that he was thinking about them.

What heh thought about didn't seem that pleasant because his face began to distort and to turn ugly.

"I'm so happy that not everyone goes to this school. But why?! Why is Narcys in our class. Luke would be so much better.", He talked with a bitter voice.

"I hate this so much."

"Aren't you being too dramatic?", Eira said with a bored voice.

She really didn't care about his hardship, she only thought about how they should go away.

"It's only because you still haven't met them. Even worse when they all are together at the same place."

"Yeah, yeah.", she answered with a not interest voice.

"You-!"

If not for Lucius, they would already have fought it out.

"Are they really that bad?", he didn't want to be rude, but he thought he kind of exaggerated it.

"Of course! Ask Erebus himself. He knew them since he was just a baby!"

Everyone turned to Erebus waiting to see what he would say. In response he only gave a smile and said with a super-duper serious voice.

"If you ever see them, run."

That was it. That was his response. The only thing they could think was how bad could they be for them to react like that.

"Is everyone that bad?", Lucius asked with an unsure voice.

"The only normal one is Luke.", Erebus answered quickly.

"No wait...", he said thinking more deeply.

"He isn't normal too.", with that he nodded with a serious face.

"If you were locked in a room, with who would you rather be?", Eira suddenly said with a curious voice.

"No one.", he said firmly.

"If you really need to choose. Who?", she said back.

*SIGH*

Erebus just sighed and began to ponder. It seemed like a hard decision because he was quiet for a whole minute. Bet he finally opened his mouth.

"I guess Narcys.", he said with a voice that said he didn't like his own answer.

"Didn't see that coming.", Eira said with Kai and Lucius nodding.

"I kind of understand you.", Ryuu said.

"You just need to shut up and he would let you be. But the other ones will annoy you till you die.", he said seriously.

"Luke doesn't look like such a person tho.", Kai said after hearing them talk.

"He's nice, you know but..."

"But what.", Eira replied with an annoyed voice.

Ryuu had a hard time answering but decided to just give up looking for the right words.

"I don't know how to explain it, but you'll understand us when you know him longer."

"How many childhood friends do you actual have?", Lucius asked Erebus.

"If you include Narcys and Luke, it would be 7. One of them is one year older while the rest is the same age as us. They do have younger siblings, but I didn't really play with them, so technically we aren't friends, so I didn't include them."

"That's a lot.", Kai replied with a bit shock visible on his face.

"I know, they are a rude bunch, so I avoided their siblings because maybe they would be the same."

"So... You were afraid of them?", Eira said with an unsure voice.

"No, I wasn't!", he replied fast.

"Call me smart.", he said with an arrogant look.

'You would understand me if you had childhood friends like mine. You wouldn't like them to increase."

"Can we talk about something else?", Ryuu asked them.

"Why should I listen to you?", She said with her arrogant voice.

"Because I feel like they will somehow pop up and I really don't want that.", answered back with a trembling voice.

Everyone could feel that Ryuu was kind of scared of them. They weren't so mean to talk about a topic were someone would be shaken so much. For his sake they switched to another topic. It would be something small; but they enjoyed their lunch. Even Eira who tried to chase them away in the beginning is now enjoying their company.

*RING**RING*

With that their lunch break ended.
