3_A chance

"My biggest regrets are.... that I lost myself, that I was too focused on my career, that I never had real friends and even lost my few friends that I had, that I couldn't be filial to my family, that I don't know what makes me happy, that I don't have any emotions anymore that makes me almost like a robot. I just want this life of mine to change so that I can be happy with people I like and love. I want a chance to change even if it is hard. But I know that that will never happen. Like dead people will never be alive and time will not turn back just for me alone.", when he said this he looked sad and lost hoping that Lin could help him so that he could live without this thought.

Hoping that she will understand him and guide him the way, but he never would think to hear her saying this: "If I could give you a change would you take it?"

Even though he thought that what she was saying was nonsense, but he couldn't help but answer seriously because what if, what if she could turn back the time. What's already written will not change", when she said all of this Lucius looked sad like all of his hope was gone but she continued: "But I can send your soul to another universe. You can call it in a parallel world. It is the same but different from yours. It's the same because the people who live there will be the same but different. After all, fate isn't placed in stone yet. Meaning you can still change it. It will be different because some people would act differently than in your world, but most will stay the same. The question is, do you still want to through this and be sent to another world?"

Lin waited for an answer, but she didn't have to wait for long because he already made a decision when he heard that she could send him to another world. He answered with hope and happiness: "I want to go there. Please let me go to the other world."

While hearing this Lin smiled and said: "I'll send you now, you will not be born as a child, but you will be a high schooler. I hope you would not have this many regrets in your next life." While saying this she placed her hands on Lucius's head. Her hands began to shine.

She began to smile and whispered something, but Lucius could still hear her. Her voice was full of warmth and fondness just like her smile.

"I hope you can be happy this time and be able to embrace all your good and bad times."

Lucius closed his eyes and thought: [I hope that I can see you again and I was really happy to know you even if this meeting was short.]

He smiled with a smile full of happiness. A smile from his heart. It was a long time that he gave someone a smile from his heart, and it was dazzling. It wouldn't be a surprise if Lin suddenly got another nosebleed.

He smiled but he didn't believe her 100% but he still wanted to believe in her because wasn't she is his first friend after such a long time?

After the light disappeared you would see that Lucius was gone. Not even a trace was found in the room that showed that Lucius was once here.

They both standing next to each other smiling. Thinking about this made her smile and she truly hoped that this would not end as a fantasy but would become reality.

Will it be a fantasy, or will her wish be fulfilled, nobody knows this question and she will only know this answer when Lucius will be together with this other person who is for now clouded with mystery.

Suddenly a voice called her out: "Lin."

"Yes brother.", she answered.

The person who called her was her younger brother they get along quite well but they still fight sometimes but that is normal because everyone fights.

"You know what you did was not acceptable. You promised that you would only talk to him and then send him to be reincarnated to another world."

"I know what I promised but he was so sad and happy to have someone to talk to. It was too sad so I couldn't help it. You understand it right?", Lin looked at him with puppy eyes to gain sympathy, but she really hoped he felt something of the situation of Lucius.

Her brother Mang looked at her, he knew what she said was true, but she still could get punished for it. A punishment from Heaven. The punishment will give you pain. It's not physical but more mental. Because it will hurt your soul. If it's not something super bad you can get away with it with only a nosebleed but if it is a serious problem, you can spit blood and even pass out and for worst, you could disappear and never be born again.

And if you pass out, you'll never know if you will be able to wake up. That is why it is best to behave and to follow the unspoken and spoken rules.

But nothing happened so he thought they weren't as angry as he thought. Even if he thinks it was suspicious, he didn't say anything cause in the end he knew how stubborn her sister was. So, he let it be.

Because what's done can't change, they could get someone stronger, but it would only complicate it more because Lucius's soul already melted in the body, so he is practically a part of that world. So, he let it slide but said: "I can't take him back but promise you won't help him anymore. You did enough."

He looked at his sister with a pleading face hoping that she would listen to him. The answer that he got was a simple nod, but he was content with it because when she promised something she would never break it that was the kind of person she was.

Mang smiled: "Good, you better listen to this brother of yours. I need to go because I have other things to do. Don't do anything dangerous, do you understand?"

Lin smiled helplessly because how can she not listen to her brother who is telling this for her sake: "Yeah I'll stay here and read books don't worry."

After hearing this Mang went away and Lin was alone in her room. It looked like she was holding something back so when she suddenly spat blood and passed out you knew what she was holding back.
