Chapter 90
When I returned, Philip and Richard were back from their trip to Gran’s and waiting for me in the library, so I said, “How did it go?”
Philip said, “All right, I think. I stayed long enough to show her how to use the machine and to get her to talking about the subject at hand. I think she’ll do just fine, but I promised to stop by tomorrow evening and check on her progress.”
“Great. I’m ready to call it a night, how about you?”
“Right behind you.”
“Is that a promise?”
“What?”
“You’ll be right behind me all the way to the bed?”
“If you like.”
“If!” I spun him around, grabbed him, and stuck my tongue down his throat. He came up for air, and I repeated, “If!”
“Shut up and take your clothes off.”
Which I did. In that order.
