As I was thinking such thoughts, a zombie flashed its fangs near Vanessa. My eyes widened in surprise, but a shockwave of air went coursing through the place and stopped the zombie in its tracks, making it keel over to its side.

I looked around to see Eric with both his guns pulled out. The man had a stern gaze in his eyes as he covered the path for everyone, going out of his way to help even the knights and soldiers caught up. I thought it unnecessary, but did not say a word.

For some reason, I didn't want any more deaths either.

"GRAAH!" The zombies squealed again as our folks got closer and closer. It was time clear this site up for once and for all.
