Chapter 54

The Army that stood in the distance really didn't understand the consequences of such actions.

Jack, who received the message from his suit, could help but laugh!

"Hehehe, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

It was a good thing that he made some preparations as while the suit helped create an infectious perimeter around the church, all of the victims of it were underground.

the Caverns the infected resided in happened to be around them; thus, Jack, who was sneering at them from behind the visor, raised his right hand in front of him, then snapped his fingers~

That crisp sound echoed out enough for the army to hear it before it seemed like the world around them started to tremble from what's coming for them.

The horses acted up Neighing in fear as they could sense the coming troubles.

The riders were clueless about this.

Only doing their best to calm the mounts that wanted nothing more than to run, then suddenly there was a scream from one of the regular soldiers.

The scream was so shrill and bone-chilling that everyone around the victim could help but look at what happened. A demon that was the size of a child was on the soldier, gnawing and ripping away at his neck!

Some of the soldiers managed to collect themselves before moving in to help their comrade in their haste created noise with every step unaware of the consequences of making such a racket.

Their weapons stabbed into the demon's torso. However, the attack didn't even faze it since the demon seemed too busy feasting on the soldier under it!

While they were focused on this demon and screaming out loud for the release of their friend, holes in the ground around them began to form as hundreds of rotting arms reached out and grabbed anyone within these arms' reach!

Bringing forth more screams that consisted of fear, anguish, and agony.

But that was just the beginning, as thousands of demons crawled out from the ground before charging at the human soldiers. The scarier part about them was these demons held no fear of pain or even of dying, causing the general, that was leading this human army, to misunderstand that the soldiers were just that loyal.

No armor, no weapons. They were just armed with their arms and teeth, causing the people they latched on to suffer until they finally died.

The General had some idea that Jack caused this, but he quickly noticed something off about them. They attacked like wild beasts, and what made him feel disturbed was what happened next as chaos within the ranks of his army began to spread!

His men that were harmed by these demons formed black veins on their bodies before dying within 10 seconds. Those that died rose from where they fell before joining the ranks of their enemies!

The general drew his blade, which was made of the most powerful metal known to anyone of this world mithril, and quickly headed for Jack's sister, hoping to use her to get the new 'demon king' to command his overly loyal troops. To retreat!

The General was slowed down by a group of these strange demons that served under their target, he was able to cut through them all, thanks only to the material the blade was made of, but a blinding light suddenly came towards his head!

There was no way that jack would allow anyone else to get near her~

Jack created a plasma cannon, that was aimed at the busy general before firing!

He was going to destroy EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!

The human that he fired at managed to block the blast with his mithril blade. The general grits his teeth as his sword shook heavily from the strain of the attack he was enduring.

The ground cracked under him. Those nearby bursts into flames from the amount of heat built up from the mithril sword and plasma beam trying to resist each other!

The general's blade glowed red one could hear the sound of sizzling flesh, which in turn attracted the attention of the demons around him before they charged towards him, leading to more of them bursting into flames, the plasma cannon began to overheat. Still, neither of the wielders was willing to give in judging from the exchange, and the mithril would outlast Jack's cannon.

But this nano suit user wasn't going to give the general the satisfaction of a 'fair' fight~

After Creating the second plasma cannon, the general caught a glimpse of this before turning pale, as jack's visor opened up, exposing his face before he winked with a devilish grin then aimed the second cannon...

The general yelled out, full of indignation!

"DAMN YOU DEMON KING!!! DAMN YOU T-!!!"

The second plasma beam cut him off before vaporizing the general's body, leaving a mithril sword that bounced off of the ground, still glowing red from the heat, creating a crisp clang for the rest of the humans to turn and see what had just happened.

Then again, a lot of them were already looking upon hearing the final scream of their leader.

The demons and former allies quickly tackled those that were too distracted by this before getting feasted on!

None of the humans wanted to stay and fight. Upon seeing the demise of the general, almost all of them lost the will to do so!

But Jack.

He was more worried about the person that was on the cross.

He disassembled his two cannons and rushed to this world's version of his sister, completely ignoring the bloodshed that was happening around him.

It hurt him so much in the past when Jack wasn't able to do anything for Bianca which is why she was one of the three reasons he tried the impossible.

All just to ensure he does his job.

As an older brother.

Upon reaching her, Jack knelt down as he disassembled the cross and her restraints, but remembering the amount of blood he had spilled, made the man hesitant to touch her, only to scoff at the thought the next instant since it sounds pretty foolish now.

With a wry smile, Jack grabbed her before pulling his sister close with a hug, feeling her warmth through the nano suit he began to cry bitterly as her state made him believe that he had failed her once again!

But there was a sudden shift in Jack's surroundings before a cold voice muttered.

"Like a lamb to the slaughterhouse~"

By pure instinct, Jack raised his sister into the air with both hands, before a large number of spikes emerged from out of the group, impaling everyone that was in the range of a mile from where he stood.

Humans, demons, mounts and everything else were mutilated by this attack, leaving Bianca completely unharmed thanks to Jack's efforts even though his body was now riddled in holes, his body shaking in pain.

All that he wanted to know right now was if Bianca was alright...

More fluctuations formed around him as the spikes retracted back into the ground before the one who spoke earlier made his appearance, a man wearing something that looked like a ghillie suit, followed by 100 more people wearing different kinds of armor as if trying to display their wealth and power.

They were the current heroes of this generation!

Jack coughed up blood before falling to the ground while desperately trying to keep his sister safe only for her to roll away from him, weakened from the injuries and bloodless, he crawled forward then reached out to his sister!

But the next scene was like the gods truly enjoyed playing with his life and emotions.

"No!"

Jack cried internally!

A large man with a stocky frame wearing a leather set of armor laughed out loud before talking down to jack in a demeaning manner.

"Just like what Lord Lucia said, heh, this woman is his weakness~"

The stocky man reached his hand out to Bianca then she started to float away from Jack's grasp, the person who took hold of his sister was a psychic, the man grinned widely upon getting hold of the precious lover of their former leader and demon god.

"please, not again!!" The inner turmoil he was feeling made him unable to react as the pain his body was enduring didn't help the situation!

But it was a pity, despite wanting to enjoy the woman that was the dream of all men within this world, he had orders to follow thus causing Jack to relive the nightmare.

"Now that you are weakened enough, we have no use for this woman."

The man looked to his ally that was wearing the ghillie suit nodded to the man before the grass-covered hero snapped his fingers to activate his ability.

What he feared for had come about once more.

Jack cried out with an arm reaching out!

"WAIT! LEAVE BIANCA BE! AS SHE IS THE WOMAN CAN'T HARM ANY OF YOU!"

This was true yet none of them bat an eye at his words and allowed this atrocity to continue.

Time seemed to slow down for the two siblings as Bianca smiled kindly at Jack before mouthing a few words.

"TAKE-CARE-OF-THEM."

Then at the end of her words, time resumed then Bianca was impaled by tens of spikes that made a bloody and brutal mess of her body.

Another failure.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

Jack howled halfway in a craze as he looked at what She had to go through again with bloody tears dripping down to the ground!

HE FAILED HER AGAIN!

The pain in his heart became almost unbearable but he had to stay sane, had to stay calm Bianca had given him a task that couldn't be refused!

Jack looked coldly at these men while trying to get up with his body twitching in pain, his body was shaking in so much fury that the suit was trying to accommodate the changes that were happening to his body before Jack, with tears of blood running down his cheeks, showed a crazed smile through his mostly destroyed visor that scanned their bodies, the virus was starting to kick in~

The men fell into his trap but even then it wasn't worth much since his sister was KILLED!

"Nanobots begin the assigned program!"

This was what Jack said with a cracking voice full of anger before all of the men around him froze!

He certainly won't let them off that easily, as for what he'll do hehe well let us have a 'play' happen within the human kingdoms~
