Chapter 40 Going out with a bang!

The leader of the base frowned at this for a moment before laughing!

Golems are known for being the best workhorses in any castle they were also easy to destroy thanks to their lack of protection from magic.

While the large golem standing before him was odd, but the Leader still relaxed quite a bit before firing a fireball spell in annoyance, as it was humiliating to be surprised by a damned golem even for a peak middle-ranked demon such as himself!

Upon doing so, the strange stick the golem was holding made a few Pshpshpsh sounds before something HEAVY hit his armor which made him stumble backwards as his fire struck it!

The wind was knocked out of him before realizing that he had just been attacked!

By a damned golem that are considered Natural slaves of this world!

So the leader was furious while his pain from earlier returned, So with bloodshot eyes, the demon fired more spells that slammed into the area where the golem was sent crashing down to, completely forgetting the whole situation outside for a moment, after then more fireballs hit his intended target The demon snorted before grumbling to himself.

'To think that a damned mindless slave would revolt!'

Feeling the pain in his shoulder increase again the man grimaced before using a healing spell that helped ease it somewhat but it failed to remove the problem, More howls and growls echoed through the base before he asked himself.

"what has this world come to?"

He clicked his tongue before picking up a few more things before the same voice from before called out to him as the golem, that should've melted from the fireballs that he was so proud of, climbed out of the flames as it was dusting itself off.

"is that the best you can do?"

The leader looked at this in surprise and disbelief before a jagged machete formed in the golem's hand as its body suddenly shrunk then it moved swiftly as its weapon swung at him in a downwards motion as he frantically tried to block the attack with his own weapon that was halfway drawn from its sheathe.

The weight from the attack made his arm shake before pushing the pommel of his sword to parry the attack then delivered a front kick to the golem that jumped back just before the kick touched it!

The leader was now gritting his teeth as the notion of him being weaker than a damned golem fueled his growing anger as the pain in his shoulder was just getting worse by the second.

So thinking that the golem was being controlled by someone he yelled out despite the chance of getting his crazed former subordinates to rush to this place.

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!?"

Jack was confused as to why the idiot was yelling but that was fine too as he wanted to test something should any of his undead reached this area.

"SHOW YOURSELF!!! DON'T THINK THAT THE AGALIE FAMILY WILL LET THIS GO!!! THEY'LL HUNT YOU DOWN LIKE A DOG AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BECOME THEIR SLAVES!!!"

Somewhat annoyed at the man's voice, Jack attacked again this time by turning his machete into a bow with an arrow nocked already!

The Demon was prepared for this as he boosted his body with magic then cut down the arrow.

"DAMNED COWARD!!! I'LL HUNT YOU DOWN AFTER I'M DOWN WITH YOUR WALKING SCRAP METAL!!!"

Jack frowned at this before speaking his mind.

"OH shut up already! who the hell are you talking to? you damned idiot, Either fight me already or I'll just end you right here and now!"

The Demon was stunned by the 'golem's' words!

He stood there in a daze blinking a few times as the leader thought it might have been just his imagination but the next words made his back drench in sweat as the next attack was too close for comfort.

As jack warned him.

"Either keep your focus, or you'll die OR you'll lose something!"

Jack Crouched down on all fours before making a mad dash for the demon that woke up just in time to block his sideswipe from the left side towards his torso, and this wasn't why the leader started sweating heavily, the leg of his adversary suddenly 'grew' spikes then made its way towards his crotch!

the leader stopped resisting the pressure from the weapon and allowed himself to be sent rolling to the side as his crotch was spared from a terrible fate but still suffered a few scratches on his left thigh.

The demon quickly got to his feet while using a healing spell to close the cut that had reached a few inches deep as his blood dribbled down his leg while leaning against the bookshelf as books, paper as well as scrolls fell to the ground.

The leader knew that things were going bad, pretty badly at that actually, however, his ego and pride pushed him on to struggle to survive as his eyes were still wondering about searching for the culprit that was 'controlling' the golem that he was facing.

Jack tapped the blunt side of his weapon on his hand before shaking his head then asked a serious question.

"Why are you ignoring me?"

Before saying some words that made the demon doubtful yet at the same time think.

'did a golem actually become sentient?'

"Look I came here to butcher the owners of this place, and i wanted to have a 'little' bit of fun before destroying this place so at least make it worth my time or I'll just kill you now, and look for someone else..."

Jack also did something that made the demon panic after saying these words.

"by the way, i came here alone~"

Jack's visor opened up showing his human features to the demon whose eyes widened before he snapped.

"YOU DAMNED HUMAN!!!!"

the Leader was completely angry at this, the whole time this human had tricked him!(not really)

Then used his confusion to tire him, injured him both mentally and physically then rub salt on his wound!(again not really)

Tired and furious, the Leader started laughing like a deranged man as his eyes darkened and changed to a purple color as his body was slowly expanding in size, his armor falling off, his clothes barely holding on.

He was manipulating his body to become more monster than his ideal form as his growls turned ghastly, before bellowing out.(A/N think Saitama's first enemy in the first chapter of the series~)

"I WILL END YOU HUMAN-"

*BANG* a loud sound cut him off as he felt pain travel through his chest as his transformation was forced to a halt as he looked down as the new wound on his chest.

The demon looked towards Jack in surprise as he was holding a strange stick that was smoking from one end before more loud sounds followed.

*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*

One thing is for sure Jack was already impatient, he sure as hell won't stand there and wait for the transformation to finish, thus the brutal ending as he resumed firing!

AH-ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH-

Even his screams weren't able to completely be heard as Jack wanting to play it safe, threw a few green objects that bounced off of the floor after pulling the pins then left to find the next demon who can either give him information or let him finish blowing off some steam.

But at least he was able to get a few things from the demon he just walked away from as his satchel had more than just a few souvenirs~

*BO-BOOM BOOM*

Using his visor he found the next demon before making a stride towards the place as the undead simply ignored him yet made their way to where the noise came from.
