Xavier's Pov:

The ride from the Crescent pack was long and awkward, Liam sat next to Ric's mate whose name I learnt was Sam. They were glued to each other and kept avoiding Ric and l like plagues. Liam kept comforting Sam who kept shivering as if he was locked up in a cage with beasts and I could see the pain in Ric's eyes. Infact he wasn't the only one hurting here. I was also wanting to get close to my mate and get to know him, but Liam just kept avoiding my gaze. Something felt strange about my mate, I was informed that he was an omega, but he just didn't smell much like an omega or look much like an omega. Tho he appears to look weak but he just had this air around him like Ric's. The fierceness in his eyes were that of a beta and I wanted to ask him, but he wasn't giving me any chance to talk to him. I mind link Nik to see if he can converse with my mates wolf, infact I was starting to ask myself if my mate had a wolf, he looked too weak.
