Grandma's birthday part 5

I didn't reply, I was still contemplating the probability that she didn't recognize me besides, I looked pretty tonight. Soon enough, I came to the conclusion that she didn't know who I was so I shoved the bad thoughts off my head and smiled at her.

"Thank you, I didn't notice it at all".

"Yeah yeah, of course, you didn't course you're dumb like that".

Now that was weird, why would she insult me like that? It's not like we are close or something.

"Either way, here". She said and pointed the bracelet to my face. It was obvious she remembered me.

"Thank you".

They took the waitress in for questioning and the party was back on. The rest of the evening was pretty eventful, grandma called me a couple of times to introduce me to some elites.

Even though the party was going well, I was really bored so I decided to go outside and get some fresh air. I went to the garden and I have to admit, it was really big and beautiful. I saw a swing so I decided to sit on it.

"I see you're bored huh".

I turned around and there she was again, the lady from the mall. I immediately stood up, judging by the look on her face, it was obvious she wasn't pretending not to know me anymore.

"Are you stalking me?"

"Haaa, and why would I do that? After that day, I stayed in the hospital for three solid days".

'You are lucky it was just three days. Why are you saying it like I broke your ribs'.

I said in a very low voice that was only audible to me.

"What did you say?"

"Ahh, nothing. Thank you for earlier even though you didn't have to". She smirked.

"Don't be delusional, I didn't do it because I wanted to help you".

I looked at her a little bit confused by what she said.

"I did it to gain your attention".

Now, I was completely confused.

"Tell me, how exactly did you win Lu Jinho? Apparently, the news says he is gay and it's been that way for years but then suddenly, boom you show from nowhere and he is suddenly straight? It's pretty suspicious don't you think?"

"Haa, what are you a reporter? Haven't you heard about the word 'love' L.O.V.E. I spelled it out in case you don't understand".

I knew what she was doing, she was trying to see if I would be intimidated to spill any information. I knew her type actually, her type didn't require me to talk too much just the wrong facial expression and they could tell if I was lying or not. But too bad for her, because I'm not as naive as she thinks I am. As a matter of fact, I didn't know if I could say she was being pretty stupid or brave knowing that I could beat her to a brim in split seconds.

I moved closer to her and I could see she was taking tiny steps back even though she was putting on a nonchalant face.

"Listen, miss, I don't know who you are, and to be honest, I don't care. But I'd really appreciate it if you ignore me forever. Just act like you don't know me. That way, I won't have to do anything I'll regret later on".

I could see the fear in her eyes and since she had already contaminated my fresh air, I decided to go into my room.

"I'm sorry but I can't ignore you, and neither can you ignore me".

I turned and looked at her with one of my brows raised. I was already getting irritated.

'Is this lady that desperate for a fight?'

She walked towards me and stood right in front of me.

"I'm Lu Jinho's cousin".

"Yeah, yeah, yeah and I'm his aunty. Yaa!! Are you crazy?"

She laughed and though she sounded more like a lunatic, it didn't have any kind of spite or anger in it. It sounded like she actually found what I said to be funny.

"Why are you laughing?"

"I'm the daughter of Quin Li. Automatically, I'm a princess even though I can't be a queen. I'm the second child and I'm not really an ideal child for my parents so not many people know about me".

She gave me her hands to shake but I didn't take them yet.

"I'm Li Sina, second daughter of the royal family of City F and granddaughter of the Lu family in City C. Nice to meet you".

I took her hand but then something struck me.

"Wait, if what you are telling me is true, then why did Lu Jinho pretend not to know you that day? And you weren't in any of the family dinners before the birthday, to sum it all up, no one has ever said a thing about you".

"You ask too many questions at a time". She said and went to sit on the swing and I followed.

"First, Lu Jinho probably doesn't remember me. We might be family but it's not like we all feel love and connection between us. It's been years since I last saw him so even I wouldn't have known him if I hadn't seen him on the news and papers and magazines".

"Ahha, so that's what happened?"

"Plus, have you met my mum? Haaa, she doesn't even like seeing my face. I only came because grandma asked me to and I wanted to see uncle Lu Jung Min. But the rest of the family? Hell nah, I'd puck".

"Why doesn't your mom want to see you?"

She stood up and it looked like it was something she didn't want to talk about. I heard her sigh.

"Haah, I killed my elder sister".

After saying that, she looked at me and smiled. And just like that, she walked away.
