Worrying Everyone

Yue Ying stared at the canvas in front of him, eyes hidden in his long bangs. His hand held a brush loosely, bringing it up and down, never once touching the canvas. He was in a rather beautiful room.

It had a singular canvas in the middle of it, without any other decorations. A cabinet was placed to one side, presumably filled with painting supplies. Massive windows decorated one entire wall, letting in lots of natural light.

About a month had passed from the party accident. Yue Ying, following the original's personality, locked himself inside here most of the time, pretending to be meek and quiet.

Of course, most of this time was spent lazing around, much to Zero's annoyance. So she had forced him to sit in front of the canvas, stuffed a brush in his hand and left, off to do something. Yue Ying could only helplessly sit in front of the canvas, following Zero's orders.

Yue Ying looked at the canvas in front of him, sighing softly. Muttering to himself, he eventually dipped his paintbrush into water. Picking up a dab of paint with his brush, he held it in front of the canvas, sighing.

"I just wanted to laze around for a bit…when we get to the sentient programs, it's going to be a lot tougher…"

Pressing the paintbrush to the canvas, he stared painting slowly, looking extremely bored.

Zero had been busy with watching the male and female lead. Seeing that her host didn't intend on doing anything, she pulled her own weight, helping him watch the two leads. But seriously…

"That stupid host… only lazing around. He doesn't even know how to paint…" Huffing and puffing, she watched the female lead go about her day at her established company. So far, whatever happened in this month was within expectations flowing according to the plot.

Well, except for the male and female lead's interactions. Yue Ying had destroyed their first meeting, causing their interactions afterwards to be strange and stiff. Rather, it was like they didn't even talk, acting like strangers.

Zero admired her host for a second. He had only worked for a few hours during the party and had managed to mess up the two's interactions to this state. At this rate, the whole story may be skewered forever, without Yue Ying having to do anything.

Abruptly, the female lead paused, causing Zero, who was watching her, to nearly float past her. Zero tilted her head as she saw the female lead stand still. The female lead had on a strange expression, touching her phone slightly. She then rushed to her office, opening the door, and slamming it behind her.

Zero floated through the door, watching the female lead take out her phone and dial a number in. Hands trembling, they pressed the call button, bringing the phone to her ears. Curious, Zero floated closer, listening to the call's contents.

"Lixue, how are you doing?"

"Spill, why did you call me." Xue Lixue had on a pissed off look, whispering at the phone angrily.

"Ah Lixue… you can't be this mean… I've been helping you from the back all this time…"

"I didn't say I needed your help!" Xue Lixue nearly yelled at the phone, but hurriedly restrained herself. She proceeded to pace back and forth in her office, causing Zero to have to catch up with her now and then.

"Could you have done all of that without my help? I'm hurt."

"Look, I even prepared a small gift for you."

"Don't you think that boy Gao Cheng is quite nice?"

"Stop it. I don't need your stupid help." Xue Lixue hissed.

"Ah… too late. Hm… just take this as a gift, alright?"

"Black eyes and black hair, a little small cutie. Go and save him, alright?"

Hearing this, Xue Lixue paused, eyes widening. "You… what did you do?!"

"Love you honey." With a small click, the phone call ended. At this moment, both Xue Lixue and Zero had similar expressions on. Both were shocked to the core. Zero in particular, quickly flew out of Xue Lixue's office, rushing back. An ominous feeling overcame her.

"Yue Ying… wait for me."

As Yue Ying finished the painting, he looked at it with satisfaction. It was a lovely painting of a fairy in white, wings translucent, with beautiful patterns in silver showing themselves.

"Ah… it should start now, right?" Yue Ying looked at the door, smiling slightly. He took another look at the time on the wall clock, before stretching, yawning.

Evening had come about and the light from the window was streaming in, dyeing everything a golden colour. Underneath the rays of light, Yue Ying looked like an angel, black hair tinted gold with the light. However, without wings, he looked more like a fallen one rather than an angel, coupled with the wicked tint in his eyes.

A hint of a rose fragrance blew past his nose, filling the room with the scent of roses. Yue Ying smiled. Producing a small glass bottle from his pocket, he pulled the cork off, emptying its contents into his mouth, licking his lips. He held the bottle to the light, admiring the way the light refracted in the glass.

He took a deep breath, breathing the rose scent. He held that breath for a second, before breathing out slowly, smiling. Walking to the side of the room, he opened the cabinet, pulling out a pure white cloth. Taking it, he walked back to his now dried painting, covering the painting with the cloth.

He then dropped the glass bottle on the floor, watching it smash into pieces. Then, ever so carefully, he laid down beside the glass shards, letting some cut into his arms. Blood flowed out from the cuts, creating a scene of absolute beauty.

Underneath the golden light, Yue Ying laid beside the glass bottle, looking absolutely beautiful.

The scene was smashed apart by the servant that came in. Looking suspicious, he called out to Yue Ying.

"Young Master? Young Master?" Hearing no response, he seemed satisfied. Picking up the small boy from the ground, he pulled out a black cover from his pocket, covering his face with it. He snuck out of the room afterwards, being careful to make sure nobody noticed him with Yue Ying slung over his shoulder.

He walked out of the house, placing Yue Ying into the black inconspicuous car before getting in himself. The car then sped away, leaving the house at a fast speed.

By the time Zero got back to the house, she only saw glass shards scattered on the ground beside a covered up painting.

She examined one of the glass shards. Its sharp edge was covered in blood, looking enchanting in the golden light. However, Zero wasn't in the mood to admire it, floating out of the house. Searching the vicinity, she let out a frustrated sigh.

Worried, she flew, following the roads, muttering at the same time.

"You better still be alive, Yue Ying."
