"What do you mean harsh? Do you see the damage that has been done to Zhi Yi? His hand is bleeding!" Hearing Xue Lixue's words, Wei De immediately flared up, glaring daggers into her.

The female lead seemed to be completely fine with the staring though. With brisk steps, she walked up to the scene, standing in front of the waiter smoothly, blocking Yue Ying and Wei De's view of the waiter.

She glared definitely at the Wei De, showing no signs of backing off. Meanwhile, Yue Ying had been abandoned to the side to watch from the sidelines.

Yue Ying, perfectly fine with this, communicated with Zero in his mind.

[Zero, don't you find this situation funny?]

"What do you mean host?" Zero had been busy flying around the wound, checking the severity of it. Yue Ying smoothly hid his hand from Zero, much to her annoyance.

"Keep your hand steady and stop moving it."

[It's fine. I'm not going to die from such a small wound. I've been through worse.]

"…Your hand is bleeding. A whole lot of blood is coming out. You want to say that again?"

[…I take back my words, then.]

Yue Ying looked at the bunch of people who had crowded around the place. The female lead and Wei De were arguing a whole lot, and with the help of the halo around the female lead's head, Xue Lixue was slowly winning the argument, with more people leaning to her side.

Yue Ying observed the look in the female lead's eyes. She looked sincere, which surprised Yue Ying. However, he ignored the sincerity in her eyes. It didn't matter whether she actually cared or not. His mission was what mattered.

And for his mission… Yue Ying narrowed his eyes. He still needed this character Wei De.

"Mr Wei… my hand hurts…" Yue Ying pitifully tugged on Wei De's sleeve, looking up at him with watery eyes.

For the sake of saving this plot point, he'll pretend to be pitiful.

Everyone's eyes slowly shifted to Yue Ying. A small, malnourished boy stood there trembling, blood still leaking out from his wound, spilling onto his shirt. His face was pallid, devoid of blood. Seeing this, everyone started to feel a slight guilt.

They had been so involved in watching the fight happening in between the female lead and Wei De, that they forgot about this tiny boy. Instantly, the atmosphere changed, with most people looking at the Yue Ying now.

[Ack, I hate acting the pitiful role.]

"…Host, if it weren't for your thoughts, I would have bought it."

[Flaunting my lack of a life.]

"What does that even mean."

Yue Ying didn't answer, tugging on Wei De's sleeve once more before turning to the female lead. Looking at her pitifully, he spoke.

"Miss, my hand hurts. Is it possible to leave first. I… I forgive the waiter…" Looking at her with scared eyes, he showed off his acting skills, pretending to be pitiful to the max.

Now that the female lead had been signalled out, people's eyes naturally fell on her, annoyed. Look at this. How dare you make such a small boy feel hurt! However, Xue Lixue didn't seem to notice this ire coming from the people around her, nodding and going to help the waiter.

[Tch, I had hoped that she would do something extreme.]

"…Host, what on earth do you want?"

[Just the blood of everyone around me, chunni style.]

By now, the servants had finally come. Escorting Yue Ying, they walked briskly away. Wei De wanted to follow, but was stopped by the servants, who said that only Yue Ying was allowed to go that way.

Wei De could only nod stiffly, waiting there. Yue Ying followed the servants obediently. Black eyes slowly observed the people around him, who stared at him like he was a peacock on display.

[…Hm. Do you think that they will punish me for doing something this extreme?]

"The Gao Family?"

[Who else? God?]

"I'll summon god to kill you, host."

[…I'm joking. Of course the Gao Family. Ha… to think that after avoiding all the champagne glasses, one will still topple on me. What should I do? Fate is based.]

Zero ignored her host's complaints, sitting casually on Yue Ying's shoulder.

Yue Ying was escorted to a neat looking room. Upon arrival, a servant took out a first aid kit, bringing out a bandage. Yue Ying watched as the bandage was wrapped around his hand, laughing silently in his head.

[No antiseptic or anything. If I thought they cared even a little before, those thoughts are dashed to the ground.]

Zero didn't respond, only looking down at the wound from her seat on Yue Ying's shoulder. A white light flew out of her hand, covering the wound. Instantly, Yue Ying felt less pain.

[…thanks Zero.]

"It's nothing."

As Yue Ying and Zero watched the wound get bandaged, the door suddenly slammed opened. The door seemed to creak under the impact, surprisingly Yue Ying and Zero.

"Zhi Yi." A handsome male appeared at the doorway, looking at Yue Ying with indifference apparent on his face. Black hair was slicked back, revealing his face. Brown eyes looked at Yue Ying with slight annoyance, not even a hint of care shown on it. The servant who was wrapping the wound immediately left, leaving them together alone.

Zero showed a reaction, looking at the man with surprise. Patting Yue Ying's shoulder, she pointed at the man, speaking.

"Host, that's the male- "

[I know.]

The man in front of them was the successor to the Gao Family. The one who would rise to the top one day, the son of heaven for this world. The male lead, Gao Cheng.

[…this really is on easy mode, huh.]

Yue Ying inwardly commented, watching the male lead carefully. Gao Cheng seemed to be rather stiff, watching Yue Ying.

"…I thought the butler was supposed to be with you."

"He went in first. I couldn't find him afterwards, so I stuck with Wei De."

"…Weren't you asked to stay out of trouble?"

"I'm sorry big brother." Upon hearing the words Yue Ying said, Gao Cheng's eyes softened. Walking up to him, he very naturally rubbed Yue Ying's hair.

"It's fine. You got hurt right? Show big brother the wound."

Yue Ying very obediently extended his hand, showing Gao Cheng the bandaged wound. Although no medicine was applied, the wound was very well wrapped, giving off the impression that it was cleaned properly. Seeing this, Gao Cheng's face relaxed, rubbing Yue Ying's hair again.

"I have to go attend to guests. You stay here first, okay?" Gao Cheng seemed to see no problems, smiling as he said those words. He then walked out, shutting the door behind him softly. Yue Ying watched him go out, eyes cloudy.

Now that nobody was there, Yue Ying relaxed, walking to a chair to sit down. Sitting cross legged, he placed his head on his hands, thinking about something deeply.

Zero curiously watched Yue Ying as he thought, flying around him, seeming bored. Finally, she floated in front of Yue Ying, waving her tiny arms in front of him.

"Host, host, what on earth are you doing?"

"Zero… did you by any chance…" Yue Ying looked at Zero disbelievingly, before shaking his head.

"Not possible." Yue Ying muttered to himself, watching Zero once again. Zero returned the gaze, slightly uncomfortable.

Yue Ying was the first to break the staring, looking up at the ceiling. It was nicely decorated, with a chandelier hanging from the middle of the ceiling.

"Do you realise something?"

"Realise what host?" Zero looked at Yue Ying, confused. He was in deep thought just a second ago, before looking up at the ceiling suddenly. She really couldn't understand his mind sometimes. Although, they did just meet a few hours ago.

"Their actions are all stiff. It's almost like they weren't expecting some of the things that happened to happen. Particularly the male and female leads, they seemed way to stiff." Yue Ying looked back at Zero, smiling carefreely.

Zero tensed up unconsciously, looking at Yue Ying with suspicion. She spoke. "And what do you mean by that, host?"

Yue Ying let out a short laugh. Speaking, he gave off a refreshing feeling, as though having found out something that interested him. "They are bounded to the plot by an astonishing degree. If something appears that didn't happen in the original plot, they go stiff, not knowing what to do."

"For example, the female lead was supposed to argue with the people around the original because of the split wine. Now that the wine was split, she had to follow her plotline to argue with someone about the wine."

Yue Ying stopped sitting cross legged, walking to a comfy big sofa to lie down comfortably. "But I interrupted before she could meet the male lead, going off the plotline. That's why she was so stiff and walked out strangely."

"The same thing happened to the male lead. He was forced to skip some of his lines, causing him to be rather stiff until he found a line he could follow."

Zero listened quietly, shocked. She didn't expect that her host would think so deeply into the main characters. Thinking of something, she said it carefully, watching her host's expression.

"So they are like robots?"

Yue Ying smiled, gently poking Zero's shoulder, as if patting her. "Yup. Robots. If their programming messes up, they are left there without instructions."

"Whoever programmed them is an idiot."

Yue Ying smiled happily. This meant that a lot of plotlines could be disrupted to mess up the plot easily. Sure enough, this world was on easy mode.
