After a moment, Zephyr looked up, his eyes meeting mine with a hint of resignation. "I understand," he said quietly, his voice tinged with bitterness. "I'll do as you ask, but don't expect me to be grateful."
I nodded, accepting his words with a sense of solemnity. "I don't expect you to be grateful," I replied, my voice equally subdued. "But I hope that in time, you'll come to see that this was the best course of action for both of us."
There was silence for moment before I opened my mouth.
It was finally time to give him his first official order.
