In the romance novel I read before I died, "The Dark Catastrophe: The Holy Saintess Saves the World," Cash was the younger twin brother of the second male lead, Cole. He was also the second-born son of Duke James Reran.

The reason why I was freaking out was that Cash was fated to die in the very first chapter of the novel!!! I have to somehow find out what part of the novel I transmigrated into because who knows, I might have transmigrated a day before the main plot starts!

In the first chapter, it described Cash's life story. This was because he was a very important character. Although he was only mentioned once in the novel, he played a very crucial role. He was the sole reason for the novel to exist because the novel plot only began after Cash died from a mysterious illness.

It turns out the illness was caused by dark magic due to the Demon Emperor of Tyranny, Cyrus breaking free from the seal placed on him 1,000 years ago.

Because Cyrus was weakened after spending 1,000 years locked away, he needed someone to host his dark magic. So he chose the person with the darkest soul: Cash.

Cash had the most hate in his heart due to always being overshadowed by his older brother Cole despite being the same age. Cash was always jealous of his older brother Cole and hated him because of his high achievements. Cole's high achievements caused their father to ignore him.

The Duke even went as far as to send Cash to another estate because the Duke thought that he would be a bad influence for Cole when Cash was only 6 years old.

Because of their neglect, he grew very temperamental and rude causing all the nobles to dislike him. But this was only due to him being deprived of love.

After entering the Academy at 14, Cash was finally sent back to the main estate to live with his father and older twin brother.

But, Cash had an extreme hatred for both his father and older brother Cole.

As the dark magic lingered in Cash's soul, it began to slowly eat his soul causing Cash to fall ill. Despite the many doctors who came to treat him, they all could not figure out what caused his sudden illness.

Seeing his son suddenly fall sick, the Duke realized his mistake of neglecting Cash and regretted sending him away for 8 years.

Cash's older brother Cole also felt regretful that he couldn't spend time with his younger brother during the 8 years Cash was sent away. He felt that the lost time was all his fault because he was the one who told their father that he thought Cash was a nuisance to be around.
