The female Omega in front of me, looked like those female witches in cartoons I watched as a kid. Her long black hair is tied up in a double ponytail, with a few escaped strands fanning her face. Her cute round blue eyes would have looked cute had it not been for the dark expression on her face. She looked as if I matched her cat or something like that.
My eyes trailed down to the clothes she was putting on. Unlike me, she's putting on the black gown female students wear to bed.
I raised a brow. Why is she putting on her PJs? Who is she trying to seduce? I furrowed my brows. Storm?
"Who are you?" She placed both hands on her waist and glared at me. She's a foot shorter than me, so she could only glare up at me and not down at me.
"And why should I tell you that?" I folded my arms and raised a brow at the short Omega in front of me.
"What are you doing in his room?" She gritted her teeth, looking like she was in the process of hitting me.
Hmm.
Where did this feisty omega emerge from? I've not seen her around, which will mean she's either a new student or she's not part of my class. The latter seemed to be the right answer because the school isn't accepting new students.
I bet they are trying to locate the missing ones first before they accept others.
"Whose room?" I asked when I noticed she was waiting for my answer. Her eyes narrowed, but she didn't say a word. If she were to be a dragon shifter, I bet she would have set me on fire long ago.
"Storm!"
The door to his room immediately opened, and the Alpha stuck his head out. His entire focus went to the female omega, whose expression changed the moment she saw him.
"What are you doing here?" He asked in a voice so dark, it sent shivers down my spine. It sounded as if something were trying to crawl up my arms.
Before this, I thought I'd seen a pissed Storm. But none of them can compare to how pissed he is now.
"Storm!" She called out in an annoyingly shrill voice. I stepped to the side to avoid a collision with her. "I came to visit you! You were not among those who went with the teachers, so…."
"As you can see, I'm okay. Now, you may return to wherever it is you came from." He gritted his teeth, looking pissed. His blue eyes seemed like they were on fire. The animosity in his gaze can't be mistaken. A look is all it will take to know how much he detests her.
"But…"
"Brys, thank goddess you are still here." Storm smiled at me. The dark glares he sent towards the female omega weren't present. It seemed the Storm smiling at me and the one growling at the Omega were two different people.
"Storm—"
The female Omega started to say, but he cut her words short. "Mara, I'm busy. If you have nothing important to say, I advise you to leave." He took my hand in his and tugged me into his room before he shut the door close, in the Omega's face.
It's unclear to me why I felt giddy by his actions. But I didn't dwell on that more. Instead, I faced the big-head Alpha.
"Why—"
"Shh." He motioned to the door and mouthed, "She's still there."
As much as I would have loved to shout, I only nodded.
He gestured to one of the couches. "Have a seat. There are things we need to do before classes start tomorrow. Your teacher asked me to help tutor you on the survival techniques of Omegas."
I gasped, "how did you know I lack in that class?" I folded my arms, with a suspicious brow raised at him. Aside from Ray, who does the assignments for me, I don't think anyone else knows of that.
"Like I said, your....." He paused and turned to the door before a smile graced his face. "She's gone." He sighed before he plopped down on the bed.
"Who is she?"
"The Omega?" He peeked an eye open. "She's no one important." He sighed, "thanks for playing along. Without that, she would have stayed with me until Theo returned. They don't see eye to eye."
"Who is she then? Your sister?"
In the comic I read, I never saw another character. Hell, most of the characters I've met so far, weren't in the original comic I read. And that left me wondering if I'm actually in the right comic.
Aside from Storm, Theo, and a few others, the rest are new. And let's not forget the missing Omegas. The original plot doesn't have any complications like that. It was filled with Brys' and Storm's scenes.
"Strawberry?"
I blinked at the sound of his voice.
"What's wrong? For a moment there, you zoomed out on me."
"Oh," I rose from the couch. "I better leave. Ray must be back by now. I don't need him to get worried, thinking I've been taken by those damned omega kidnappers."
"I won't let them take you." He rose from the bed and advanced towards me. "I will protect you, Strawberry. I won't let any harm come to you." He closed the distance between us, and stood in front of me, with his entire attention on me.
I scoffed at his words. "I'm capable of protecting myself, Storm. I might not be an Alpha, but I'm a strong Omega."
There is no way in hell that I will rely on him to help me when I can protect myself just fine. Well, that's until an Alpha releases his pheromone. Like other Omegas, I'm not immune to that. However, should I be marked by an Alpha…
Wait a minute, what am I even thinking?!
"I know you can, and that's what I like about you, Strawberry." He stretched his hand and caressed my jaw with his palm.
His touch felt light and soft. It seemed so soothing and warm.
"But I still wish to protect you. Just give me a chance to prove that I can keep you safe, Strawberry." He leaned down, so his breath fanned my face. "I will be your Alpha, and I will keep you save."
My breath hitched in my throat when he brought his face closer. I was trapped. I couldn't blink. And worse of all, my eyes were trained on his lips. I felt this urge to kiss him. It was stronger than anything I've ever felt.
"I wish to be the only Alpha you run to in times of trouble. Please don't deny me this, Strawberry. I wish to mark you and make you mine. This way, other Alphas will know who you belong to you." He kissed my eyebrows, my nose, my cheeks, and my —
The door to his room opened, perfectly breaking the spell. Theo stuck his face in. However, the smile on his face froze when he saw us. "Oh, my goddess! I hope I'm not interrupting something?" His eyes brows twitched.
"Bye!"
I pushed Storm and raced to the door. Luckily, Theo didn't attempt to block me. He moved to the side to let me pass.
"Strawberry!" Storm called out, but I didn't stop. I banged the door behind me, and rushed back to my dorm, with my heart beating so loud in my chest.
What did I just do? Goddess gracious. Had Theo not made an appearance, I know what would have happened.
I would have let that damned Alpha kiss me —I wouldn't have resisted. I entered the door and banged it behind me before I slid down on the floor, and leaned on the door.
I tugged on my hair and gnashed my teeth. What the hell just happened?
"Brys, are you okay?"
