Chapter 13 Benjamin (2)

The earth started rumbling and the pocket realm of the World Tree started shaking. "You are their son?" A shocked and incredulous expression surfaced on Yggdrasil's face.

Ben didn't know why, but the trembling and shaking of the place he was in right now did not affect him at all. "Yes." Instantly Yggdrasil asked. "How?" On which Ben answered nonchalantly. "Probably through sex."

Yggdrasil was taken aback. "You don't know the significance of your existence, do you?" The World Tree knew now why Ben has such a large impact on fate. If the existence of an offspring of two of the most strongest races ever seen in the vast universe is spread, it will have unimaginable consequences.

And if it comes to light the Elves are nurturing this offspring. The whole of the cultivation world will hold its breath and pray this existence won't become a wicked cultivator.

'Should I just kill him right now?' The thought passed Yggdrasil's mind and wouldn't leave.

"No." Ben says. He looks around. "Where are we anyway? And by the way, who did you take with me inside this place? You said a marble-card can take 5 people with it for the first entry or something." Ben suddenly asked, bringing Yggdrasil back from his thoughts.

"I took the people with you who have the most intertwined fate with you." Yggdrasil split his mind to check up on the people he took inside. They all had their own pocket space, for individual nurturing.

The World Tree didn't check who he took with Ben, because he was too curious as to who would have a marble-card. And the thought of using the abundant fate surrounding Ben for his own world's advantage played a big part.

He saw the 4 friends of Ben and an Elf with crystal white hair, sleeping soundly on the ground, she probably fell asleep because of the teleportation.

'Luna!? She has a strong connection of fate to Benjamin?'

Yggdrasil didn't know what was going on. As an existence who lived for 3 whole eras, being revered throughout the universe, having unimaginable power and he should have seen and heard everything that the universe has to offer.

But now he is getting flustered and shocked, making mistakes like not paying attention to who he took in, losing partial control over the pocket spaces for a second, and not paying attention to what is going on. All because of Benjamin. Yggdrasil wondered if it was because of the incredulous amount of fate surrounding Ben influencing him.

The World Tree nodded to himself. 'That should be it. I should be more cautious and regain my bearing.'

"You're four friends and the elf you talked to, Luna." Yggdrasil says.

"The white-haired elf? Why her?" Ben asked confused.

"Does it matter?" Ben thought for a while. He doesn't particularly care for the people inside the plane. His only connection would be that they are fellow humans and come from Earth. 'But I don't feel anything, no sense of responsibility or any concern for what is happening to them.'

What he did feel was an incredible excitement, the feeling of discovering something new. Earth joined Tiered worlds? What does this mean? Elves exist? Cultivation?

It is said that every kid has an unmeasured curiosity, this wanes over time because we grow up. Growing up is just taking more responsibility. You have no time to be curious anymore. Your sense of adventure will get suppressed and lay dormant, never to see the light again.

And now, Ben found his curiosity again. He wanted to know, the universe he is thrust into, discover this new world of Elves. He got excited to discover what the future held.

'I did feel an incredible attraction towards Luna.' Ben thought to himself. Thinking back to him finding Luna act pretty cute. "No, I don't think it matters that she is here." Ben says with a small smile.

"Okay, that's good. Anyway, as for your other talents." Yggdrasil shifted his attention to the crystal cube. You would think after recollecting himself, as an unfathomable existence, he wouldn't get flustered anymore no matter how talented Ben would be.

But that didn't happen, all thought left his mind as Yggdrasil stared blankly at the crystal cube.

Inside the crystal cube floated a grey humanoid figure, no face no genitals, its whole body shone a bright grey light. Surrounding the figure floated a few objects, one bigger than the others and some smaller than the rest.

"Martial talent; Martial, which includes fist and kicks, rank 9, Greatsword rank 9, Bow rank 7, Spear rank 4, Axe rank 2."

After a moment of silence, Yggdrasil says. "Don't resist, something isn't right, with your talent you should have awakened the moment you came in contact with qi."

Ben felt what felt like a looming eye looking at him from all sides like he had nothing to hide and was essentially see-through. Ben felt very exposed at this moment. But he tried to suppress this feeling.

"I see. Brace yourself, for the pain you will experience."

Ben felt the looming eye locking onto something inside him, which felt even more uncomfortable. As the feeling of the looming eye retreated from his body, Ben's eyes constricted into pinholes. What began as a feeling of restrictions on his body being removed and a freeing feeling overcame him, slowly morphed into excruciating pain.

As Ben was going through his awakening, Yggdrasil observed the three floating golden seals that came from Ben's body. 'This is so intricate. So, this is what the epitome of array mastery looks like.'

Just as Yggdrasil wanted to start comprehending the intricate seals, to learn from them, they dissipated into thin air. Yggdrasil si stunned. 'How!?' After some thinking, it dawned on him. 'The seals needed Benjamin's body as a medium to work. Array's normally need an array plate to stay in existence. Cleverly done Lady Fire.'

Gasping for air could be heard from Ben as he breathed out the question. "What the hell was that?"

'He is still conscious? Guess that is the talent for you.' "What you just experienced is called 'The awakening'. Normally this would happen at birth and your body would be pure enough for no pain to assault the body. Then when you matured enough you would start cultivating.

But you haven't awakened yet due to seals inside your body. This way your body accumulates waste over time and your meridians dry out. The awakening is essentially water for a dehydrated body. But you can't regulate the influx of qi entering your body, while you can with water."

As Ben was listening to the explanation and recovering from the pain. A ring around his finger lit up and pricked Ben. Ben suddenly felt a connection being formed with him and the ring.

"You have a legacy ring? And a rank 9 god grade one at that!"
