Chapter 18 - Yuuki

Somewhere inside the Geneda City just outside of the governmental building where their ID's were made from…

"You're asking where you can buy equipment? Are you messing with me?"

"Um… No, we're just asking where and how we can buy." Yohan said nervously.

"You must be joking aren't you?"

"No, we just want an answer."

"Brother Qol, just tell them about the Marketplace." The other guard urged.

"You guys are unaware of the Marketplace?" Qol questioned.

"No... What is that?"

"Ah…! It's this, wasn't it?" Yuuki exclaimed.

"Yup, it's in your interface, and it's only accessible while in Green Zones." Qol replied.

"That's why we never saw it earlier, huh?"

Rumi then mumbled quite loudly. "Oh! It's in the [Eternal Library], we just didn't saw it earlier here." However, no one paid attention to her as they simply talked.

"Yohan, can you give me my share? I need to buy a new sword, this one's quite shitty you see." Yuuki said, looking at the sword hanging on his waist with a frown.

"Yeah yeah, here." Yohan then tossed a bag for him since he already sorted each person's share from the quest reward.

"Nice! Ah… It's this one…" He clicked on an item in the interface and the info came up. [Mythril Katana] [30 Eternium Coins] Yuuki almost spat his saliva in shock. "Eternium coins?!" He was shocked since Eternium Coins were the premium currency in Eternal World, so he was slightly surprised it's also used here because there was no mention of it ever since the game came out.

Qol then interrupted, "Kid, we don't have any Eternium Coins here, it's only found from floor 2 and above.

Yuuki asked, "Why?"

"Beats me, ask the Admins. All right, since our job here is done and you've gotten your IDs, we'll be going, don't cause any troubles, got it?"

"Uh… Yes… Thank you."

The two others also thanked them, "Thank you, sir." Yohan said with a smile, while Rumi is waiving cheerfully, "Bye, misters! Thank you so much!"

The two guards proceeded to leave, soon disappearing through the distance.

Yuuki then began looking through again in the Marketplace for weapons, and finally finding one good, and affordable katana while the other two also tries to find what's best for themselves. 

"Ah. It's this, I guess." [Cold Steel Katana] [800 Salapi]

"You seriously using majority of your money for that? Can't you buy something cheaper and get some armors or equipment too?"

"Shut up bro, I can survive with just this first."

"Okay, sure, but for me… It's these babies." He showed them.

[Enchanted Bracae +1] [190 Salapi]

"Weird… There's no tier 2,3, and 4… only tier 1? Then there's suddenly a jump to tier 5?" Yohan scratched his head in confusion.

Rumi then joined in on the conversation, "True, it's really weird. And the tier one items are not even balanced, there are some really strong and some are very weak."

"Who knows, this tier system didn't exist in Eternal World after all." Yuuki nonchalantly said as he browsed the Marketplace. "All right! I'm set!" He exclaimed as he pulled out the weapon from his Inventory. When buying in Marketplace, the money is immediately deducted from your Inventory as soon as you confirmed the purchase, and since this Marketplace, or rather, the items listed here exist in a subspace where no one is in control in its entirety and is a decentralized system with it being a somewhat safe environment. Once purchased, the item will be directly placed in the player's Inventory from the subspace.

Since the technology of the Tower is quite primitive with some touch of magical aspects, they don't have anything like modern day algorithm for verification of purchases, hence, there are these individuals called Processors, they either work by themselves, which is quite rare, but they get all the money and the credibility are their own, or they work for organizations, which is where almost 80% of Processors exist at, they work for businesses and corporations or business families in the Tower and those exist collectively as an entity of their own. Meaning, all the Processors of the same organization all share the same credibility. 

They get some cut during purchases where their services are needed but these are not really that expensive and mostly just 4% to 10% of the total price of the transaction, and they divide the cut percentage into two, getting each half from when the Buyer made the purchase and before the Seller receive payment. If in case a scam was detected by the Processor from either side, the victim will then compensate the Processor some money, with a minimum of 50 Salapi, since they ensured the clients won't lose anything for nothing. Yohan and Yuuki bought the things they discussed as their equipment but since Yuuki still had more than 200 Salapi left, he bought an [Enchanted Windbreaker +1] that was colored black for 220 Salapi.

Yohan asked Rumi, "What will you buy?"

"I'll just get better equipment for more protection and effects."

"Yup, that's good too. There's no need to buy a better weapon since yours is already good enough anyway.

"That's right, and this is what I found." She then showed the two what she found, another mage set but is significantly better than what she's currently wearing. [Enchanted Layered Mage Set +2] [999 Salapi]

"Wow, that's pretty good." Yuuki said in amusement.

Yohan then urged them. "Okay, let's buy up the things we needed and head to the trial site, some players already got into floor 2, so let's go."

They all bought up their items and finally equipped them. Yohan was extremely satisfied for what he bought since not only are they quite good in terms of the current level of the players, but they look insanely good too.

Rumi is also the same, it is somewhat similar to her previous mage set in terms of effects, but it's much more powerful. Not only that, it looks fabolous too with its detailed designs, especially the cool looking white robe of the set.

Yuuki donned the windbreaker which fits him pretty well, since the default clothing consist of plain black shirt and trousers for both male and female characters that offer no additional stats or effects, it looks quite fine even if he didn't bought something for his lower body.

"All right! Let's go be badasses!" Yuuki shouted as he equipped his katana on his waist.
