General Zhu

Shen's P.O.V

"Shen is so powerful that she is still smiling even though she is against someone on par with me."

"They pose no threat to me, as Lady Chen will avenge me if they bully me."

"Oh?"

"Oh?"

"Goodness. My disciples are so lively."

Master Zhao had appeared so suddenly that gave me a heart attack. He combs his beard as he laughs hysterically. I cross my arms as Lady Chen looks away, as if saying that she did not know this buffoon.

"Lady Chen is not happy because you are here, Master Zhao."

"Haha! I just want to make sure that my disciples won't overdo it as they are very strong."

"Haiya, we are not children anymore, Master Zhao."

"Indeed. Disciple Chen is of marriageable age."

Lady Chen reacted. She had pinched Master Zhao as Master Zhao yelped in pain. Graceful as she is, even her pinching looks elegant. Gah! I sound like someone in love! I am in love but it sounds so cheesy.

"I am not for sale, Master Zhao."

"You are already to be wedded this winter."

"I have no such knowledge."

"Wait, she is to be wedded?"

My world started to crumble.

"Haiya, she is. You are to worry if you want to marry disciple Chen."

"I believe that that is just to make you give up on me."

"We will see," my heart sunk.

I look down, not wanting to give a damn to the world. As soon as I realize that I am in love with Lady Chen, as soon as it's given me a hard time. I do know that Lady Chen has many suitors, too many to count, but I figured I'm too complacent that I did not do anything remarkable for Lady Chen to really notice. My status and power did not waver her feelings for me one bit.

"Winners of each team, I ask you to come and exchange greetings."

Ah, it's starting. Better watch and forget the misery that I am currently in. I guess I can still be with Lady Chen, a-as friends.

Lady Chen walks to the elevated platform, as the winner of the other side, Fang Lin. He smiles sinisterly as he eyes Lady Chen up and down. My senses alarmed me of something disastrous. I look around and I see General Zhu smiling the same sinister smile. I flicked my tongue and walk towards Master Zhu.

"Stances!"

I took another step.

"Ready?"

And another step.

"Fight!"

I was in a considerable distance from where General Zhu was. He was with someone else but I know that it was from his family. I fake watch as I listen to their conversation but since it was quite noisy due to the clashing of powers, I made use of my qi to enhance my ability to hear.

"Chen Qingshan, I doubt she will win."

"Ah, did Master Zhu give Fang Lin the strength empowering pill?""

"I fear that your voice is so low that I doubt one can hear us."

"My apologies, Master Zhu. I had yet to refrain myself from getting excited."

"Haha! We shall have a feast tonight."

It was prohibited to use pills. As I would like to punish them right this instant, I wanted to watch how Lady Chen will counter this situation. By now, she must've noticed the slight enhancement of power. I do not doubt Lady Chen's strength but I am curious as to what extent Lady Chen can handle such dirty situations.

Fang Lin has mastered fire technique, and Lady Chen mastered ice. I can see the disadvantage Lady Chen has. If it wasn't for that pill, I bet Fang Lin's fire isn't as enormous as a boulder. This was why that old hag has trained me to master all element, to avoid situations like this.

Fang Lin summoned small fire balls and sent it flying to Lady Chen. Lady Chen managed to fend those fireballs by creating small ice shields. Without a second to spare, Fang Lin charged forward to where Lady Chen was at. Lady Chen saw through this and jumped high while summoning her sword. She started spinning as she descend to where Fang Lin was. A smile had crept to my face as I remember doing that move against her. Of course, Lady Chen just had to improvise.

As she descends, she had summoned daggers and smaller swords and sent it to Fang Lin as a welcome. Fang Lin was too busy fending off the daggers and swords coming his way from all directions, he did not have time to dodge Lady Chen's attack.

*CLANK*

Fang Ling overheated. He had managed to shield from Lady Chen's attack by powering up. A fire barrier engulfed his entire body thus protecting him from the attack.

"Hmm,"

Lady Chen backed away as her ice sword melted. Fang Lin withdrew his fire barrier and laughed. I saw his lips move but I did not hear a single thing that he had said. Lady Chen was still stoic though, never one changing her expression.

Their clash continued for some time until Lady Chen decided to stand up straight and took a deep breath.

"Oh?"

Lady Chen opens her beautiful eyes and grabbed the hilt of her sword. I sense that she had dropped her elemental power. Lady Chen was more serious than ever and I am so shocked because I did not know how I knew that when I haven't seen her serious look yet.

She readied herself to charge. She grips her hilt tighter and with just a flash, she had bypassed Fang Lin. 2 seconds passed from the action and Fang Lin's uniform were torn apart, leaving him only with his undergarment on.

"Haiya!"

Fang Lin runs like the speed of light, screaming.

"Woooooh!"

"Senior Sister Chen is so powerful!"

"Sister Sister Chen is a savior!"

"Mhm," I say before going back to where Master Zhao was.

"Where did you go, Shen?"

"Ah, somewhere important."

"More important than me?" my saliva suddenly got caught in my throat as I cough.

"Wh- no. It was, uhm, just, yeah, you know, right?" I could not form comprehensive words as I do not want to worry them both. I will have to deal with General Zhu later.

"Mhm," was all Lady Chen could say before looking away from me.

Haiya. What is this situation?

My battle had ended quicker than I initially thought. Fang Lin did not come back after his humiliation thus giving us extra time to rest. Everyone eats their lunches joyously while talking to their close acquaintances. I stare at them in awe, not noticing that a dagger has come flying my way.

*TING*

I whipped my head to the side, my face directly facing a dagger's tail. I gulp.

"Shen is so busy thinking about something that Shen did not notice a dagger going her way."

"But, it was not intended for me."

"Hmm?"

"A letter," I pointed to the letter at the back of the dagger.

"It is for Lady Chen,"

I grab the letter and read it on my own before burning it with my blue flame. Scoundrels.

"As you just burnt my letter, then you are Lady Chen."

"The letter is of no importance, Lady Chen."

"No reason is equal as to why you had burned the letter."

"Lady Chen can beat me up later as I have matters to attend to."

"You can leave a lady by herself?"

I rub the back of my neck and excused myself. Did she not want me to leave her side? I don't want to but I need to go to General Zhu. That bastard is as sly as a thief can be. How dare he send a dagger and threaten Lady Chen. He shall perish.

I sneak and take a peek from the corner of the wall, hiding my presence so as to not alarm those scoundrels.

"Goodness! A lady can take her time."

"Master Zhu shan't fret over it."

"I have written something that she may not have a chance but come."

"Oh, ho, I reckon you're smart."

"Thank you, Master Zhu."

Tsk. I summoned my fire talisman.

"You know what to do." my talisman nodded and went head on to the both of them.

I watch as my talisman beats the two scoundrels. I could not believe that they are so weak yet they are considered as high rank. The system disgusts me. I do not need to wonder anymore as to why that old hag left this place. Even if under command or a rule, they would not stop their dirty ways.

But guess what. General Zhu summoned a water talisman and of course, my fire talisman got executed. Why did I not summon my electric talisman. Sometimes, I am so stupid.

"Who's there!"

Without a second to spare, I charged forward. General Zhu had smiled when he saw me, just a small fry in his eyes. What a ridiculous general. Underestimating an opponent is not the ways of a general. When he saw that I had an electric power, his smile disappeared.

"You! You're not only Platinum Tier?!" he screamed before I zapped him with my power. I look to his acquaintance and he immediately bowed down before me.

"Listen," I kneel down to the both of them, letting them sense that I am of much higher rank than them, giving off my aura to kill.

"If I see any of you doing this to anyone again," I lean further.

"Off. With. Your. Fucking. Heads."

"Y-y-y-yes, Master!"

"We-we-we-we-we apologize!"

"And,"

"Please don't tell everybody!"

"Yes, yes! We'll keep your identity a secret!"

"We-we'll be your slaves!"

"I have my eyes on you both."

I start walking away from them while dusting off myself. Such treacherous men!

"Take this, motherfucker!"

Ah, such a poor man. I turn around, letting the dagger hit my shoulder. I let the dagger stay there and summoned my thunder talisman.

"You are to guard these two and zap them three times a day. If they do bad things, zap them as many as you like." my tiny thunder talisman saluted and went his merry way to the both of them, zapping them many times before sitting on top of them, smiling.

I skip happily to Lady Chen with a smile.

"Lady Che-"

"Goodness. What ever happened to Shen?" Lady Chen directly came to aid.

Huh? Oh! The dagger. That should explain why everyone was looking at me weirdly. I had forgotten that a material is stuck on my body and that I let it be, and that I let everyone see. Lady Chen grabs my hand and lets me sit on the cloth she had prepared for us to sit down for lunch.

"Why is it that whenever you run for something, you get injured."

"I apologize but I did not mean for this to happen."

"You are to sleep with ice water tonight."

"Whoa. Lady Chen, I am injured yet you want to punish me?"

"You slept with a boulder on your held while you beg your mother to spare you as you were gravely injured."

"Oh, uh, right. Lady Chen is so generous."

"Take off your sleeve and I will murder you."

"Lady Cheen,"

An angel is trying to murder me! But if it's Lady Chen then I might now mind dying in her hands. A grin had escaped my lips as she wraps my wound before grabbing the dagger and pulling it out of my body. Instantly, my blood stained the white cloth.

"Do you not have healing powers?"

"I do but Lady Chen is taking care of me."

"Such a needy child."

Before Lady Chen could turn away, I saw something that I did not see before. A smile! A genuine smile! When Lady Chen had sat beside me, I had hoped that her smile was still there, yet it wasn't. Oh, well. That was a nice image.

"I saw a rather interesting talisman on my way here."

Master Zhao, again, appeared out of nowhere.

"What of it, Master Zhao?"

"Ah, for Shen to use her electric talisman this early," Lady Chen suddenly turned to me, glaring, as if robbing me of an explanation.

"I had cleaned some small fry."
