Chapter 40: Just Married
Gemma took a deep breath as she surveyed her appearance in the mirror critically. This was probably the most important dress she'd ever worn in her life and it was perfect.
Max had spent the last few days putting everything together for their secret wedding. He hadn't shared anything with Gemma, not even where they were going. She'd only figured it out when they had landed after a long flight.
Beautiful Bora Bora.
Their suite was spectacular; literal panoramic ocean views and a great balcony. The sound of the water crashing on the shore was a calming balm for Gemma's nerves.
Today was the big day so Max had booked a hotel room a few floors down so that they could get ready separately. Gemma wanted that moment when he first saw her in her dress to be as magical as possible - even if it sounded silly.
