Chapter 10

(Mc pov)

"Move now, mila!" Harribel yelled, seeing me disappear. Pushing mila as my sword came down. The ground cracking as both made distance.

"How long, do you think you can keep her alive? Huh Harribel?" I said, swinging my sword as the smoke cleared. Looking at them slide back on the sand.

"Don't call me that name, I should have known what kind of creature you were, like the rest in this hell." Harribel spoke, jumping towards me.

"But you took a liking to it, is that not what she called you. Either way, struggle, it won't change anything." I yelled, smiling as we clashed.

Sparks were seen as our blades met, deflecting her blade as I kicked her in the stomach. My spiritual pressure climbing as I did, seeing her fly back and hit a mountain like structure. Cracking it as I flash stepped in front of her, bringing my blade down as she moved. Firing a beam point blank at me. Holding my hand out as I crushed it.

'Lady Harribel, I'm so useless. While I sit here, she fights for me, just like when she saved me so long ago. No! I'm not like back then.' Mila thought, feeling the weight of my spiritual pressure weigh down on her. Seeing Harribel fly across the sand as I disappeared.

"Mila!" Harribel yelled, seeing my sword come down, she closed her eyes. Only to open them as a clash was heard. Opening her eyes to see Mila standing over her, her brown hair blowing as her head was pressed down, stopping my blade.

"It would seem your weak link is ready to die, what do you think Harribel?" I said, kicking Mila in the side, sending her sliding and in to a massive stone.

'Please Mila, stop. Just run away. Why are you still here.' Harribel thought, looking at me walk over to the dust that was kicked up.

'You saved me, if you need my strength or ear I am here my lady.' Mila's words echoed in Harribel's mind. Seeing me hold my sword up as she could only watch.

"I will protect her!" Harribel yelled, her armor cracking as she rushed forward. Her body changing as her armor moved, changing as she blew sand around her as she made her way to me.

"Hmm, this level changes nothing." Looking back at Harribel's blade I caught, I looked over her armor, seeing it looked like the armor I had seen her in, while I watched the anime.

"Move now! Mila!" Harribel yelled, grabbing on to me as she fired a beam point blank, mila jumped back as a massive explosion of energy shot out. The sand folding as it lit up the everlasting night.

"My lady." Mila thought, turning back around as the light died.

"What a waste." My deep voice rang out, swinging my sword as the cloud vanished, holding Harribel's body up by her neck.

'Not even that could stop him, uhh.' Mila thought, feeling my spiritual pressure grow. Frozen in place as I walked forward.

'If I can not win with my power alone, I will need to rely on the power of a group.' Mila thought back on the words said to her, her body refusing to move as the world crashed down on her shoulders.

'And here I am, unable to do anything. Am I, truly that scared? So what, if I die like this. Even if I don't want to die, how pitiful am I? I won't, stop fighting, just like you did for me. I will save you.' Mila thought, even as her veins ran cold, and sweat dripped all over her body. She raised her head, slowly as she looked at me, even as it weighed down on her more. She pushed against it, steadying her legs as she looked at me.

'That is what it means to be a group, pushing through whatever obstacle you may face. Even if it means your death,' thinking as I looked onward, seeing the burst of spiritual pressure shoot out, a mix of red and gold. Watching as Mila stepped forward.

'Don't do this please, Mila rose. Just run.' Harribel thought, turning her head back as she watched the explosion of spiritual pressure.

The light grew as the place around us shook, seeing her body morph as she shot at me. Holding my blade up, I felt nothing but I slid back. Feeling Harribel be taken from my hands as I stood there. Looking at Mila who held Harribel, she didn't look different from her arrancar form just a lot more bone covering everything.

"My lady, are you ok?" Mila said, placing Harribel on the ground.

"Mila, you, you became. A, vasté lord." Harribel said, looking up in to Mila's eyes, seeing the care she had for her.

"I don't know, I just know. I will protect you, my lady Harribel." Mila said, her sword made of bone in a broadsword Like style. Standing as she saw me walk forward, feeling the spiritual pressure grow. Watching the world start to shake.

"Mila, don't. Please" Harribel reached out to Mila and said, pulling herself up. Slowly as she looked at the back of Mila.

"You always, protected me. I was so useless, no matter how much I wanted to help. But this, this I can do. I won't run, my lady. I would, I would gladly give up my life for you." Mila thought, looking back at Harribel, every word held meaning as she spoke what was in her heart.

"Mila, no. This time, we will not face it alone." Harribel spoke, shaking her head for how dumb she had been. Understanding Mila's feelings and putting it together with what I said. Raising her sword with Mila.

'Each root must, burden the weight given to them. I was so dumb, I could not see. That, that you wished to carry this weight with me.' Harribel thought, thinking about why she saved Mila, the very reason she wished to have another beside her and what it truly meant to fight as one.

"We will fight together." Mila asked.

"Together, like I said before. If we can not win alone." Harribel said, nodding at Mila before looking at me.

"Then we will have to rely on the power of a group." Mila finished, nodding her head as they both accepted this as there end.

There spiritual pressure climbing as they held their swords out, getting into a stance as they watched me run forward. Looking at each other they pulled there hands back. A mixture of yellow, red and gold came to life as they shot towards me. The air shook as I shot forward, the massive rocks around us blowing from the pressure as we collided.

'You truly did find, a strong root.' Letting go of my sword, I thought as I held my hands out to the side. Embracing the light.
