Klein rented out the rooftop of a restaurant close to his girlfriend's off campus apartment for her birthday party.
He is proposing to her with an expensive ring on top of buying her an expensive birthday gift.
That must have cost him a lot. Either he has a part-time job that pays much or Harper has doubled his allowance.
It could be the two reasons I mentioned. Because Harper loves her siblings so dearly she doesn't count the dollar notes she places in their accounts or palms when they ask. And Klein is hardworking, too mature for his age. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a part-time job whilst being the best player on his hockey team and a student with good grades.
I was a bystander as I watch Klein hold his girlfriend's hand to cut her birthday cake with their friends surrounding them.
I feel ancient being in the mists of 20 year olds, even though it a four years age gap between me and them.
