CHAPTER 132: Hard nut
The car pulled over near the car parking lot and that was when it hit him: the brutal breeze. Like a buoyant spirit, the cold wind assaulted him. Like the bustle on a woman's skirt, the chill struck perkily, arousing the tiny hairs on his skin along with his mood. He had missed out on visiting the beach, it had been a truly long time.
As Jake put his head out of the car, legs first, then shoulder next, his gaze flew over the demarcation fence to the pool of people on the other side of the shore. Their basking in the sun, dipping their feet in the sand, children whining at their mothers, and others running, were happening like a neatly rehearsed routine.
Jake grinned.
