Zev mounted up the stairs with the impression of Larry's words, stamped heavily in his heart. Even before Larry ever mentioned such talk, he actually had his reservations about the Mayor's behaviour and would not say anything more about it to his best friend unless Kaiden was seriously willing to listen to and iron out the assumption and arrive at a somewhat truth.

Zev was positive that something else had warranted Jake to move out of the neighbourhood he once lived with his dog, Jason, just like Kaiden had enlightened him about it before.

His suspicions further grew when he settled inside his solo thoughts to calculate how drastic Jake's decision to move out really was in relation to when the kiss had happened with Kai. But Zev would rather not stay on his opinion too much or let it hinder his ease of communicating with Kai.
